@dcmat: Good to see you are still around. Wow...what a long work day.
@vhuber: Yikes...what a day for you.
@Dean:The deer here are so use to dogs, humans and cars. I have walked my dogs and have had the deer charging at me. Sometimes when I run or walk they have literally walked down the opposite side of the road right past me. It seems they have a new predator in my area. I have caught two sightings of a cayote chasing the herd the past two weeks and my trail running club came across one last week on a run....so they are on the rise in my area.
Jan. 22: 10.5 miles of running 4 and walking 6.5 miles.
TTD: 210.91 miles

@clepant - Yikes! The Coyote are all around here but they stay hidden. To see them in the open is troubling. I hope you don't have a rabies problem around there.0

@dcmat - good to hear from you. Not the same without you.
Well, I'm back. First run since Disney. That was one nasty virus I had but feeling much better now. Hope I can get caught up. Have a great Saturday!0 -

@Janet: So glad you are back on the mend. So sorry you had to deal with such a nasty virus. Take it easy as you get back in the swing of things. Its more important for you to build your strength and immune system up again. I am sure all that running in four days took a toll on your body and made you more vulnerable to that virus.
@ Dean: Coyote were never here and started back in our area in 2002. There have been an occasional spotting of them with one case in a county park a few years ago where they surrounded a woman and her dog while hiking. This is the third sitting of a coyote by my dad, hubby and me in the past month. I just think they are moving into residential areas around here and we have an abundance of rabbit, squirrels and deer so they have a nice menu of food. Sure hope it is not a rabies issue.0 -

Very slow day today . . . . SO has pulled back muscles through vigorous coughing!! which has meant he has found walking painful. I'm chuffed that I managed over 3 miles - but I did walk to the cafe where we had breakfast, whilst he too the car.0 -
Enjoyed my day on the hamster wheel, then took a walk along the river, checking out all the snags and debris from our recent floods. Just in time for more flooding to come for the next 7 to 10 days.

Adding a conservative 3.2 miles (the 0.2 is to just end up with a round number to feed my numbers OCD). Snowbound Friday but I got my 10K steps in my house. Saturday and this morning I walked lots of laps in the halls at work. Survived the icy drive home where my Fitbit had my HR in the 90s for the whole drive - fat burning mode. Good thing, since I'm stress eating chocolate for breakfast. Hoping some of the ice melts while I'm sleeping since I have to do this again tonight.

Lazy day for me so far. I feel like I still need extra rest. Funny when I was 20 years younger I bounced right back from a cold.
Stay safe out there if you are buried in snow!0 -
