    Walked w/DH this morning then got on the bike for 58 mins and some Ray Donovan then lifted some weights then went to see our grandbaby! A good day!

    3.1 running miles. I did my subdivision's yearly 5K this morning and survived. I've barely run this summer so I didn't know how it would go. It was tough in some spots, the route is hilly and I slowed up a few times, but never stopped running. The preliminary results show me at 29:47 which I'm ecstatic about, hopefully it won't change for the final results. I came in #2 in my F50-59 age group and 48th overall. I also had bib #1 which was weird. It got a bit of attention. The race raises $ for a charity that builds homes for returning wounded war veterans. The one getting this year's house was there, he was severely wounded in Afghanistan in 2014, has no feeling below his knees and walked the race. He may face amputations in the future. It's a good reminder to be grateful for what I have.

    It's been a very low mileage week due to working OT at my sedentary job. I'm glad I only signed up for 200 miles this month. I was able to get a good walk in and some lawn mowing today to get 4 miles today.

    We both had doctor, dental & eye appointments in the city Thursday & Friday but I did seem to get in miles.
    Thursday; 8 on ex bike & 2 jogging before I left & another 2 walking the dog after dinner.
    Friday; 1.5 walking the dog & 3.5 on the hotel treadmill
    Saturday: after we got back I jogged 3.25 miles & it was a hot 80 out!

    Only 1.13 miles today

    Really injured my knee and having to rest it. Haven't been able to walk properly, just hobbling around as best I can. Probably won't make my target this month. Really disappointing.

    @2essie : I am sorry to hear about your knee. I am suffering foot problems too and am out of one race next Sunday. Just take it easy and let it heal. I will give you some of my extra miles as I already hit goal for the month and this way you will not mess up your streak. Feel better soon.
