@anaconda469: Ouch! You keep getting beat up. I think you need to bubble wrap yourself.
@Dave: Hooray for your fiancée! So glad she is feeling better. Drugs are amazing...lol. Thanks for prayers....we all can use them.
@My fellow teacher...you probably will get this. All I can say is "full moon". Thank goodness it is Friday.

Jan. 13: Adding 9 miles today of walking 5 miles and running 4 miles

@Dave - I know this series of crappy things is a lot to deal with but never forget there's a lot more on the bright side than we tend to realize. First, you have a fiance (how did I miss you guys had taken this step!!!). Second, you have time to cherish your dad and say good bye without leaving anything unsaid. Third, you have all of us (ok, maybe that's not all good, sometimes we're a pain). And you have the progress you've made taking care of your health. So hang in there, knowing that you have many blessings and things will look up again.

@Anaconda - before I moved away from the cold for good, I was such a klutz on ice that I had to wear those ice gripper things on my shoes. It was the only thing that let me go outside some days. Hope you aren't too sore.

@ Sussexbythesea - LOL you woke up with a 70 year old! That cracked me up. '

My husband has come down with the flu so I've been in charge of everything around the house, including caring for him. Let's just say he's very needy. Several days of dog walking duty put me at 43/75.

Jan. 14: Beat the sleet and freezing rain and got my run in. New inserts have given me some hope that I can run again. Greatly reduced pain even though I am going slower than a turtle. But it is a start.
Adding 10.06 miles today of which I ran 3.06 miles, walked 2.5 miles and cycled 4.5 miles

Well I am looking at mt climbing boots and crampons. It wasn't so much my butt hurt when I fell on it, the frozen slush got my butt wet and cold. So crampons are sounding like a great idea.

01/08 - 20.0 miles CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer (geeze, snowstorm, icestorm, rainstorm & all this is refreezing tonight)
    01/09 - 01.0 miles rest day walk
01/10 - 20.0 miles CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer (gale force winds & snow & its piling up fast, my singing events tonight-canceled)
01/11 - 20.0 miles CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer (took an hour to unbury my van today, burned more cals than turbo)
01/12 - 20.0 miles CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer (so sunny & beautiful today, just frozen slush, snow and 29 out turbo again)
    01/13 - 20.0 miles CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer (this snow/freezing weather is getting old....fast)
01/14 - 20.0 miles CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer (playing in the snow with 3 yr old grandbaby..those toddlers wear ya out fast)

Still not feeling the best but the sun was shining, the wind was NOT blowing and even though it was only 14 degrees I took my 2 fur babies for a 2.5 mile walk. My dogs were so happy to go for a walk.. I then rode 7.5 on the ex bike.

The freezing rain went north of us so yesterday wasn't dangerous, just cold and wet. Be careful if you weren't so lucky. I'm still moving right along here, but it's time for me to figure out how to keep moving as my work schedule increases.

Added 3.75 miles for a January total of 33.25 miles.
