Finished up some training recordings for work Sunday morning before the office opened. I'm glad that was early enough for me to get some walking in later in the day. Yesterday wasn't too bad either considering I worked all day.

Added 4.5 miles for a January total of 19.25 miles

Everyone with ticker issues, I too don't always see the updated numbers when I update. It always seems to be correct when the spreadsheet is updated, so I agree with Dave, it isn't worth worrying about. (Although I have logged out of MFP and logged back in to be sure, I am a worrier myself :) )

@Janet Congratulations on the race. I agree, while it will be around 50F today, with the wind and possible rain, it's too cold to just stand still and wait to start. And I am not in appropriate running attire either. BUT, I'm trying to get out today, for me this is a heat wave.

Have a fun Tuesday all. I'm off to get my van repaired.

Just a thought on the ticker issue...I find if I update the ticker before joining the thread the totals are correct.

    adding 2.8 miles

TO THOSE OF YOU EXPERIENCING "TICKER PROBLEMS":

While it may be disconcerting that it doesn't show the correct total at the time you post it, please be assured that by the time Janet or I get around to doing our updates, it has always been correct with what you typed in plain text. It might just be that your browser is 'caching' (remembering) the old value, but when we go in to this thread, our browsers don't have it cached so everything looks fine to us. Try to relax and if after we've updated the spreadsheet you don't see your correct new total, then* you may panic if you wish.

    Dave

I was finding my ticker was not showing the correct number that I actually loaded. I refreshed my browser each time after I loaded it and it made the correction and displayed correctly. Just a suggestion as it was being whacky for me too.
    To EVERYONE:

Yes, sometimes just a plain Refresh (F5) of the page will work to update the ticker to display the correct amount, but that still doesn't clear the cache which some people may need to do. Try hitting CTRL-F5 (or holding the CTRL key while clicking the Refresh button with the mouse) and that should clear the cache. If not, the definite way to clear it is to press F12, then CLICK AND HOLD THE REFRESH BUTTON until the option "Clear cache and hard reload" option appears and then click that. That* will most certainly clear the cache!

Thanks again everyone. You're amazing. My Dad met with the oncologist yesterday and the news was pretty much as expected. Long story short, best case scenario with any available treatment is 6 months. Time to spend as much quality time with him as possible and to keep him smiling, comfortable and feeling loved.

@Dave: You are right...embrace the time you have and make some great memories together, mend fences, laugh much and reminisce a lot. You are loved and we are here in whatever way we can help.
@Janet: My friend Joey finally responded. He said there was a 12% chance you that he would have given your medals. I told him that I was sending his pic and he would become a wanted man...lol

Jan. 10: Adding 10 miles of walking and jogging workouts 0f 7 miles and cycling 3 miles.

I am taking the morning off of work tomorrow to help my hubby get my dad to the oral surgeon to get a tooth extracted. He can barely walk because some gout issues flaring in his foot so it is going to be rough going. I am just hoping that there are no complications with all that he has been dealing with for the past month.

@Dean: Actually we are feeding him RABBIT & DEER mixed with brown rice, broth from boiling the rabbit, green beans & coconut oil. Not guzzling water there for no needing NUMEROUS potty breaks. He is like his old self. My super raises rabbits for their consumption which is nice. I was afraid I'd have to go hunting or worse yet try to run one over on the road. LOL

Today was 7.5 on treadmill at the ungodly hour before work & then the tabata fitness class.

I had something good happen to me this weekend. I have been experiencing increasing pain in my right foot. I pretty much hobble home at the end of the day because it hurts so much. My knees and hips were hurting as well. Even cycling was a struggle. I had my heel injected and was recommended some New Balance inserts from my doctor because of the cost of custom made ones. Well, I received this add for Protalus inserts and read all theses reviews from people who said they swear by them and how they have given them a new life. Well I bought two pair because they have a 90 day wear them money back guarantee. I put them on the first night I got them and no pain. I took the pups for a long walk and no pain. My knees and hips stopped hurting. I biked 10 miles on the bike and my time improved without pain. They are incredible. Not the stiff, lock your arch in place inserts. I have movement but realgnment. This the best birthday present I could have received. I am honestly thinking my running days are possible again, Just had to share my excitement. [/quote]

I don't know what these are but great news!
Have been away with my OH for his birthday I woke up with a 70 year old haha
