Drove 5 hours to see my brother at his out of state school today. Haven't seen him since Christmas. The first thing he said to me was "wow! You look great, how much weight have you lost?" ! ! ! It made me feel great that he could tell, so much so that he acknowledged it

Mu husband commented this morning on how much flatter my stomach has gotten (still have work to do, trust me!) and that my butt feels firmer. Will definitely take that.7

With all the strength challenges we are doing, LBD, FW and now stairs (plus I walk about 3-5 miles a day) at almost 60 yrs old, I am feeling stronger and more like my old self. Thanks to these challenges, I don't have the aches and pains I had when lifting, squatting and chasing the grandkids. I'm struggling with the food intake, but I will take the win on feeling stronger. At my age, I'm looking to get healthy, not skinny. Thanks ladies for the continued support.7

I've hit every one of my workouts hard this month. But I have also not logged accurately or hit within my calorie allotment consistently this month. This doesn't sound like an NSV so far but today I realized while feeling dejected about this month's lack of progress on the scale that tomorrow marks just the half way point for the month and I can decide right now to turn it around. I had a great March and a good result in April is still attainable, I just have to decide right now that I want that good result at the end of April and I am willing to do what is necessary, that I know I am capable of doing to achieve that good result. So that's my NSV, I'm taking back my control and I will turn my month around. Who's with me?5

I'm with you! Here's to two weeks of COMMITMENT.3

I am so so with you! I have been struggling with this month, just drove 2000km to move in with my bf after spending a week with family and going out etc. Needless to say I haven't been able to weigh in or really track as well as I'd like so here's to the rest of April finishing strong as f#$@! I came on here to fess up to you guys love the support on here!4 -
I always feel a little weird posting "progress" pics so early in my journey, but I've been getting a lot of compliments on how much slimmer my face looks, so I decided to look back at some older pictures. Omg! The top right picture was taken 2 weeks before I joined this group. I wanted to share because I know that I wouldn't be doing so well without the support of you all!

Lovely pictures, your hard work is showing!3 -
Bought a size 12 pair of jeans today (that fit me!). I was pushing the edges of size 16 only 4 months ago! It's working! (Feeling good and confident that I'm on track)10

From a 16 to a 12 is a huge accomplishment!4 -
I need to think of my NSVs at the moment since the scale hasn't been moving lately (no surprise, my eating has been crap). After losing 20 pounds in two months, now, nearly two months later I have started getting comments and compliments. Maybe my body is adjusting to its slightly lower weight and looking better even though I haven't dropped any More pounds. I am on my second belt and already 3 holes in. I had to buy new work pants and donated several pairs. Most of my pyjamas fall off if I walk around in them. I bought shoes in a size I haven't bought in 15 years. A really bad day is 1500-1800 calories whereas
In the last I can imagine my bad days were probably double that. Even with a few weeks of poor eating I have been maintaining my loss.
So now to regroup and get back on track to keep the changes and start making some more!7 -
I bought a new pair of jeans in February, wore them once and then forgot about them...I went to put them on today and couldn't wear them. Too big! Even buttoned and zipped if I give them a slight downward tug they fall down to my ankles. Beyond excited!!5

I am officially running my first race this weekend, a 10k! I have been running twice as much prepping for it which has made me more motivated than I've ever been in my life with working out.5

Good luck, Kelsey. You will do great. We will all be cheering you on all the way!!!!0 -
I accidentally ran a 5K this weekend.
Accidentally in that it wasn't planned to run that far not that I stumbled into it or anything. The weather was so nice that even though it was my rest day I decided to run the path in our neighborhood park (especially since I had a birthday party to attend with my fresh strawberry cupcakes). I figured I'd do a mile or so but it felt good so I kept going. By the time I decided I was ready to be done I looked at my Fitbit and I was at 2.8 miles and one more lap would get me to 3.1. I did the lap and had a total distance of 3.6 miles (including the walk to and from the park) in about 41 minutes (which also included 2 quick stops to talk to my son who was catching frogs).7 -
I went to try out the rec centre by my new place which BTW is awesome! I went to do squats with a 15 lb kettle bell and as I was doing it, I realized that I have lost this whole kettle bell in weight! It felt cool to hold the weight that was now not hanging on my body!!3

I've never thought about it like that!! I will have to keep that in mind tonight when my trainer hands me the weights and try not to hate her so much (only hate her in the moment, love her and all that she's taught be when she's not making me do one more set)!0 -

So I took some pictures this morning at the gym and thought I would share my progress and also show where I'm starting out this month going into the 30 day shred.
Left: Bust- 49in
Waist-42in
Hips- 48in
Right: Bust- 44in
Waist- 38in
Hips- 44in
I'm not where I want to be yet, but I feel like I'm doing the things I need to get there. I wouldn't be nearly as motivated to continue everyday if it wasn't for stumbling upon this group and feeling like I'm part of a community where I don't have to feel ashamed. Thank you
