Another close call. Desperately looking forward to grocery shopping this weekend and cooking 50,000 meals to freeze. This whole day-by-day thing is not working with my new schedule. @hillmike56 - Ooo, have fun in FL! There's such a fine line between splurging and binging, but I hope you enjoy yourself and can indulge a little without The Binge trying to take over! :)

Feeling excited to go grocery shopping and get back on track! I'll take it as a good sign that I'm feeling positive about it now instead of just desperate, lol!

Thanks for the support everyone, I appreciate it. It sounds like a lot of us are going through rough patches- hopefully things improve for all of us soon! @mae918 - Great job finding healthy ways to deal with all the challenges going on! What kind of exercises do you do when you're not really feeling motivated to work out? I desperately need to replace some unhealthy habits with healthy ones, but I have the hardest time committing to workouts.

Unfortunately, when I'm not motivated, I tend to make excuses and NOT workout. If I can manage to push myself, I tell myself -- "just 10 mins" and I'll do some of my favorite core or leg stuff. Usually the 10 mins turns into more, but i don't get mad at myself if that is really all I do. The key for me -- is LOUD music and working out solo and focused.

Close call last night.. over indulged, but thankfully SHARED the late-night meal and turned down a few things. Oof. Goal to do better than that today, and to workout.

No binge, although...I'm so stressed out today, I've only been able to eat once.. so that sucks, too..

The BINGE is such an easier opponent on my own turf. But maybe having a few days of rest and relaxation gave me a new approach to thinking about how to change the habit that allows the BINGE any victories at all.

Having a really rough week and fighting a major case of the "F-Its." Remiding myself that this is the only thing I can control right now, and therefore I need to. Eventually this will pass and I want to be able to look back and say "In spite of everything, I got though this one thing without failing."

@Moxie42 - that's a heck of an empowering thought there, if we can make ourselves believe it. I, too, take comfort in knowing that tightening food program control gives me a little calm during the chaotic storm that is life!

I'm glad I'm not alone in that, haha. I used to think it was weird that I'm the most on track when I'm in a funk- like it becomes the one thing I cling to. The really bad "F-Its" are a bigger problem because I just stop caring about everything and all my bad habits want to come back. But I've learned I just need to wait those out and "fake it til I make it." Doing better now. Still in a funk but it's manageable.

@Moxie42 - that's it almost exactly for me... I must have a funk sweet spot. A moderate funk and I'm all up on my plan. Too much, and the F the world mentality takes over. Too little funk and I just don't care for other reasons. MEH.
