@amazingmummy sorry to hear about your calf! I hope it heals up really soon!1

Some how I strained a hip flexor yesterday. I could not find a sleep position where it did not hurt. I ended up getting up and applying three strips of KT tape plastered on it in a flower formation along with taking some Advil and finally fell asleep. I woke up feeling much better. Wow...was that wacky. Must have been all the dodging during dribble tag yesterday.

Sometimes it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. Beautiful sunny day. Got the bike out and started a ride. Well the detours for road construction changed (yet again) and the bike lane was closed. I wound up going through some gravel and the next thing I knew both tires are flat. Construction debris and broken glass in the gravel. I was stuck in the traffic lane, so I rode for 200 yrds on flats. Pumped up enough air to ride home/ The guys on the work site thought it was real funny, laughing at me. So tomorrow its off to the local bike shop to get two tire repairs. I had my bike bag from my road bike, but I was carrying one road bike tube with me.

Finally a morning I can type more than a few words. Mom is home now from rehab on her knee and still pushing the limits. (of course, I'd worry about her if she was too compliant ) She decided to try driving around the block Tuesday by herself. Now, she was cleared to drive by the PT Wednesday, but she did not know that AND no one was there in case something did go wrong.
I had time to get a nice long walk in while she was in PT only interrupted by my youngest daughter calling in a panic because her car had a flat tire. We did show her how to change one but it's been a few years so.......Thankfully a nice police officer stopped to help and he took the time to make sure she could do it herself the next time. And thanks to my smartphone, I was able to find a tire store near her so she could replace the tire. (she bumped into something and put a hole in the sidewall, repairing the tire was not an option )
Added 8 miles for a May total of 49.25 miles
Have a wonderful Friday and a Great Weekend everyone!

Lots of tire issues! They're never any fun either. Sorry you all had to go through that. For your daughter, @TAXMOM9093, at least it became a teachable moment...and a gentle nudge to keep her eyes peeled for things she should avoid running over or into.

@amazingmummy - hope the calf tear helps quickly, take time to let it heal.
@clepant - the dribble tag will do it every time LOL. I'm glad it didn't impact too much on your walking, running and cycling.
@taxmom9093 - hope your daughter was inspired by the experience and as Dave has said - taken dome learning from it
@vhuber - pleased that you got a short run - but I hope you're not pushing too quickly.1 -
