BTW, Chris, Happy New Year. Orange you glad you don't do fiscal any more?

Oh, yes!! So happy!!!!
Just found out ... we did a Hays study four or five years ago. They just got the results. Payroll got NOTHING but a title change. Nothing... If I wasn't retired, I'd frickin' quit! Unbelievable!

Paula you are inspiring me. What a great way to declutter. Love all that extra walking!
OK, not planned, but we have a 5 month old Shin Tzu puppy. Her daddy is allergic to her. And Rocky just got all excited when given the chance to have her. I did not have the heart to tell him no!
Chris I will take a photo when it is done. I am dry brushing them with a slightly darker co!or to accent them a little.
I bought some books on planting clematis. I want to be able to write in them and make notes. Cannot do that online. So far I have learned I have been doing everything wrong! And that they should be planted with companion plants for the biggest show. I have lots to learn about these beautiful, vertical, flowering vines. I went online and read reviews on different clematis books. Then onto EBay for used copies. Can't wait to learn which the experts say grow best in my climate. And to learn how to properly cut them to get the most blooms. I love when neighbors and people driving through feel the need to stop and tell us how much they love our garden!

Yes, that little ball of soft warm puppy is constantly under our feet and begging for Lovins!
She is perfect!
Thanks Paula for sharing with everyone!

How did I miss this! No pay raise? And it took this long? Wow, glad you don't have to quit. What a load of crap!
Shelley0 -
You got that right. Shelley.

I bet they got the title change to avoid giving out the raise that was deserved!0

They didn't have Chris there to fight for them.

Here's the pisser...one of the techs who does the PERS and STRS retirement reporting got a new title as District Retirement Specialist and a two step bump. Another tech who does all the benefits got a new title as District Benefits Specialist and a two step bump. The tech who took my job is now a District Payroll Specialist with no increase. The Retirement Specialist is a dumb blond...a year older then I am and can't even create/work a spreadsheet to save her life. She's been at that desk for 20 years and no one really know what she'd doing. Thing is...when I worked for the County Office for K-14, I did exactly what she is doing for three three K-12 schools and one independent district. This just kills me!

I hate it when you leave and they have multiple people do what you were doing. We don't play the game well, Chris. I'm kindof proud of that...

I love how we can vent here!
