    TRACEY'S BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE

I am challenging myself to follow the original OMAD protocol to see if I can make continuous progress without having to backtrack and have a continuous losing trend until my birthday on September 16. I would really like to get through the 150's during this time, but will be content with whatever number I have because I will have stayed the course and not gotten off track.

I will post my daily weights here (Official weekly weights in bold) and welcome any and all support, advice, encouragement, and tough love if needed.

    18 August - 160.7.......25 August - 157.0.......1 September - 155.2 ........ 8 September - 155.4
    19 August - 159.4........26 August - 156.1.........2 September - 156.2
    20 August - 158.4........27 August - 154.9.........3 September - 155.8
    21 August - 158.4........28 August - 154.1.........4 September - 155.6
    22 August - 158.0........29 August - 155.1.........5 September - 156.1
    23 August - 157.4........30 August - 156.2.........6 September - 155.2
    24 August - 158.1........31 August - 156.5.........7 September - 155.6

Give it some more time. You may have a whoosh as I've heard it described. If not you can adjust.

This weekend will be a feast weekend. Started yesterday with a second meal. Tomorrow is my husband's 50th birthday and we had family come in for his birthday celebration and I have kind of gotten off plan. I am looking for my weight to shoot up a bit the next two days, but come Monday I will reel it back in with a water fast day and then back to OMAD.

I am going to look at this weekend as a trial run of my maintenance plan where Friday - Sunday are my feast days, Monday is a water fast day and Tue-Thurs are OMAD days.

I weighed again around 11:00 and was down to 157. So far today only water. My sister is cooking steak and potatoes. I must be strong.

Nice that you're successful at getting back on track! I'd like to read up on how you guys manage so well. I guess it just takes getting back on the horse. Nice job!

I weigh daily and see when things start to get out of hand and quickly get back on track. I stay in charge of my splurges and don't allow them to guilt me into staying off track but use them to push me in the right direction and back to what I know works.

That!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the way. A splurge shouldn't make someone quit. That makes a person regress real quick. A one day splurge isn't going to hurt anyone. When we link them together or do them often is when we will get in trouble. Whenever I've had a big splurge, I just thought I must have needed that and got back at it.

Thank you Tracey and Bob. I definitely need work in that department in the future if I will ever succeed. I'll have to print out this advice/reminder. Thanks :)

It's definitely insightful seeing a drop like that! Shows that all your daily steps to weight loss over the month did not just go poof on one or two days of a lil extras. Thanks for sharing! Very helpful for me as I have always given up on my progress by just a mere couple ounce gain...

How did I miss this?! So sorry I am so late coming in here!
I just started formulating a plan for a birthday challenge I plan to start on the 22nd (4 months before I turn 30). Nice drop! I need to get back on the daily weighing wagon.

Tomorrow is my Birthday...I am so proud of the progress I have made in this challenge, but there is still a day to go. Basic OMAD really does work. I plan on celebrating my birthday with three dinner nights out. The plan for tonight is going to the Mango Grill Indian Restaurant, tomorrow, my birthday, will be Nikko Japanese Steak & Seafood, and Sunday after church, Olive Garden. These meals will be my OMAD so still sticking with the program. Of course I will take photos to share with my OMAD besties.

Today is the day!!! What day you ask...then I'll tell you. IT'S MY BIRTHDAAAAY!!! <<<<Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to meeee, Happy Birthday to me.>>>>

Well, can I get a drum roll please xhmad1jkscr7.png My birthday weigh in for the final day of my birthday challenge is 152.9 pounds :):D:p;)

My birthday challenge began on August 18th with a weight of 160.7 and ended today, my birthday, September 16th with a weight of 152.9 for a loss of 7.8 pounds in less than a month. I would call this challenge a success.

Thank you to everyone for your words of encouragement and support. It has been said before and I say it now, this is a great group of supporters and I am glad to be a part of it.

Thank you @jvcinv. This challenge was great. I can not say enough good things about OMAD and the basics specifically.

    One Meal
    One Plate
    One Beverage
    One Hour

Not a lot to think about. Set your meal time, fill your plate, eat and be done with it.
