Nice Mama Lush
Sunday - 0
Monday - 0
Got most of the housework done yesterday so today I can lounge with the pups in between finishing the laundry. Hour on the bike a bit later!0 -
To all on this Lush Thread doing the zeros- you have inspired me to do the same.
Mon-0
Tues- plan for a zero as well.
I like the Mon-Thur 0 and hope to do that this week. Have been on a weight plateau for some months. Perhaps this is what I need to get that going in the right direction again.0 -
Monday - 0
Tuesday - 2 glasses wine
Congrats on all the zeros!0 -
I'm jumping on the Monday (maybe Sunday) - Thursday 0 wagon as well. After this weekend. (My weight is up and I am positive it's because I'm drinking about 2,000-3,000 calories a week. True story.) So this week I have decided to drink every day.
Last night was a glass of wine, a beer, and 2oz. of vodka. I can't decide whether that counts as 1 or 2 drinks.
Sister gets in this afternoon so no sense in stopping the lush train now!0 -
2oz of vodka?...1 drink
Monday-0
Tuesday-2 small glasses of wine...about 8oz total. I did wait until Len left for work before I started drinking though...saved me from downing the whole bottle!
Wednesday-not sure, but will probably have a drink or three....I have a crap ton of calories unaccounted for, so unless I find a fabulous snack at the market tonight, I'll be drinking.
I saw a drop in the scale last week but not logging it unless I see it again this week. And when I say a drop in the scale, it was teeny...about .2lbs BUT its the most movement I have seen since April, so........0 -
Kate, way to go!! I got on the scale (after a long while) last week...and I hadn't gained as much as I thought I had in my mind (which was like a bazillon pounds!) LOL. I've been pretty good in eating & working out every night...except Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays (which I need to stop that). But I got on this week after dropping a pound last week...and I gained the pound back. But I'm feeling better & I think that is what matters. So, I'm staying off the scale & judging myself how I feel instead of the # that can make or break my whole day.
0's last night through tomorrow night...and then drinks on Friday w/ hubby...and then off to KC for a Bachelorette Party (where there will be LOTS and LOTS of wine)...so, if I'm not too dead on Sunday, I might try to squeeze in a workout, but we shall see how that goes!0 -
2oz of vodka?...1 drink
I like how you think!0 -
Sunday - 0

It is beautiful here today so I'm going to open the windows and air out the house :glasses:
I'm with Kate on the vodka. They say one shot is equal to one drink, a shot is an ounce and a half so I guess you had one drink and a teeeeeeny bit more given that extra half ounce
I'm diggin' all the zero's Monday-Thursday train hoppers
Happy hump day all!0 -
So the Mon - Thurs thing proved tricky last night. I had one small vodka cocktail. At least it was only one and I did have the extra calories for it.0
-
I'm not hoppin on that train!! Although I've been pretty boring so hence the lack of posting.
Monday-0
last night was 1
maybe another glass of wine tonight?
I've got too many vacays coming up to even think about getting serious with the abstaining of alcohol. But after Labor day I'd like to clean out a bit...before another week vacay at the end of September.
Happy lushing (or not) everyone!! :drinker:0 -
I'm not hoppin on that train!!
I'm with you Syd!!!! I'm not ready yet...even when I think I am, I'm not0 -
Tue - 2 beers

Struggling today I am hot and way under calories for the day and I haven't even hit the dreadmill yet which will happen shortly. I want an ice cold beverage0
-
Mon- 0
Tues- 0
Wed- I am like Robin, struggling a bit, but have the benefit of not having any booze in the house. So most likely a zero tonight too.

Nicely done, Gary!
I had wine again. Ho hum....2 glasses.0 -
It is with great sadness that I must ask my fellow lushes to pick up the lushiness for this lush :frown: . I will be out of commission for a while. Aunt flo has always been a little erratic for me so I thought nothing of it when she was late. Well, 2 weeks late now, 3 positive pregnancy tests and some other symptoms and I do believe this lush is growing a future lush. I'm hoping to get in to see my doc before vacation so I'll find out for sure but going by how I'm feeling and the 3 positive tests and I'm fairly certain what the official result will be. I just bought some awesome wine glasses too :grumble: I must have subconsciously known and hence the easy 0's. Here I thought I was just being awesome with abstaining haha. I am glad that I'll be pregnant during the colder months and holidays
I will still be checking in most everyday to live vilushiously (see what I did there? haha) through all of you and I plan on keeping up my work outs as well. I'll be here to cheer and encourage those going for 0's and cheersing with water to those lushing it up
Happy thirsty Thursday my loves :flowerforyou:
Ps. You are all the first to hear, lushes hear before everyone else, priorities :laugh:0 -
YAY Kat! Congrats Honey!!! You did have the dream a few weeks back...ehh ehh....!!!!!
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you better keep up with us....Chloe does
xo0 -
Exciting news, Kat!!!!
Congratulations :flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks ladies
I think I'll be keeping up for often than Chloe otherwise I'll have withdrawls from my lushes haha.
I'm not quite in the super excited phase yet, more terrified but then again I only recently within the last year or so gave having kids a thought. I was a strange little girl, didn't dream of getting married or having kids but instead played in the dirt and played video games like the guys haha. I do get excited at times and then scared again but I'm guessing that's normal. I'll be telling my friend who's coming over for Shark Week tonight, I'm popping her Shark Week cherry! Then tomorrow when Mom goes to give me wine I'll tell her and my Gram..... that is going to be noisy haha.0 -
Congrats Kat!!! So happy another lush is preggo!0
-
Kat, I am so excited for you. I know what you mean about not dreaming the marriage & kid thing because I didn't either. It is awesome though and very rewarding. You will be an awesome mommy.
And yes it is also normal to be terrified by the prospect.:noway:
I gave into some carefully measured vodka last night. It was just a neccessity. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
Lush on!0 -
Thanks Chloe! It'll probably be tough when you have your little on and then I'm the lone preggo.
Thanks Mama Lush =}
And I'm glad to know I wasn't the only gal not dreaming of those things Mama Lush. I certainly hope I'll be an ok mom, I'll be the strict one though and daddy is going to be a huge push over haha. I will be the awesome mom with tattoos though :glasses: .
A drink is definitely a necessity at times. I think the whole 9 months with no booze will be easier than expected but I know I'll still miss my wine at times and will definitely be picking up my lush card after baby comes.
I know Kyle is going to be great, I was freaked out when I took the first test and he just giggled, hugged me and said "oh stop, this is exciting!" He doesn't however like the idea that he'll have to start changing and cleaning the kitty boxes for the next 9 months or so. He has a little problem with animal bodily functions, he can't even clean up after Chloe (profile pic) after she poops :noway:0 -
I had my doc tell Mike that I couldn't clean up dog poop either  we don't have a cat so I had to get some benefit out of that rule!
The first couple months without booze was the toughest for me. Eventually you kind of get used to it. Don't get me wrong though, I definitely plan on drinking once this little guy is out for sure! I am planning on breastfeeding for at least 6 months is my goal, so I will still have to keep it under control though.0 -

Ahahahahah that's excellent. Kyle said he would just get me a gas mask to do the litter boxes and I put my foot down as I always do and said no, we already talked about this before I was pregnant, you start helping with the boxes since the cats were your idea. Then I played the "you don't want our baby to have problems because I cleaned litter boxes do you?" He'll be fine, we have a litter genie and everything.
I'll see what happens when it comes time to breast feed. I think my mom said I breast fed for a little while and then I wasn't having it haha. One thing I do plan on keeping up is my hour on the bike both during pregnancy and after baby. I know I'll be able to have Kyle watch baby when he gets home so I can grab an hour of not only exercise but alone time0 -
Kat I swore I would never get married or have kids. You weren't alone!!
Once I married the husband and saw what an amazing dad he would be I gave into becoming a mom. We were married for 8 years before that happened..believe me..I thought about it long and hard.
It was the best thing ever...of course I also knew my limits and only had one...Which I still get crap about from people...like I doomed him to a horrible life without siblings. He on the other hand..loved being an only child..and with all my Mexican relatives..he has plenty of cousins.
Life has a way of changing up on what you think your plan will be!! I love being a mom...and ended up being a darn good one..if I do say so myselfwho'd a thunk it??
CONGRATS!!0 -
Wow, a girl is gone for a week and so much happens...
Congratulations to Kat!! I believe the cat rule is only for outdoor cats - not sure what the policy is now. You will both be great parents.
Today is detox - Day #1 - I am hoping to make it thru August 22nd which is the state fair. I can just picture my fatty liver in overload.
Here goes:
Aug 8th - 0 - I am already sad0 -

I have to say finding others who weren't crazy out of their minds waiting to get hitched and have babies. I felt like a freak because all of my girlfriends..be them few, we're all about getting married then babies. I was an only child and didn't mind but I would have loved siblings, I only have two cousins though. I wouldn't mind 2 kids but we will see after this one haha. You are also so right about the changing of plans! My best friend when we were young wanted nothing more than to be a teacher and have lots of kids of her own. I wanted no part of having my own kids and said I wouldn't get married. Now I'm married with a baby on the way and my best friend is still living at home, doesn't want kids anytime soon nor a man anytime soon. I think I may have a bit of the same situation as you SoCal, I knew Kyle would be amazing not only as a dad but also while I'm pregnant. He calmed me down after the first positive test and made me feel better about it allsounds like we got some great catches
