71 minutes after my classical stretch this morning. I usually put it off until later in the day but I was upstairs making my anti procrastination list and had 23 min before The View so I knocked it out early.4

After reading the introduction and the resources I really appreciate this challenge! Especially how Mondays can be considered as mini start-overs each week. Looking at it this way gives a whole other level of encouragement not to allow a difficult or problem filled day or week define the next week(s) or month(s), becoming a slippery slope of neglecting exercises and other healthy practices. Been there and done that in the past .
I also like having an easy to remember goal of aiming for a minimum of 150 minutes a week. This allows for a lot of flexibility for daily and weekly goal setting. I have always just looked at my day by day exercise as just that, but now I'm going to expand that so each day is a part of a weekly/ monthly goal, and now a yearly goal. I'm hopeful that doing it this way will help keep me looking at things more positively instead of being discouraged when I miss the mark on a particular day or even week.... Monday is always a fresh start over !!
I exercised on Monday! 130 minutes so far this week.
PS-I wondered how many minutes I had exercised the first four weeks of January with everything that had been going on. I ran the numbers, and for the first four completed weeks of January I exercised a total of 600 minutes, with around 150 minutes (give or take) each week! Yay! Actually this was very encouraging as I was at first only noticing the blank days on the calendar instead of looking at the days that I actually did exercise, and how those minutes fit into that week, and all four weeks.

For another challenge group I am in, I had to participate in a sport. So, on Tuesday I got my daughters to play tennis with me. I was terrible, but we had fun, and they want to make it a weekly activity we do together. I'm also on a Fitbit challenge with one of my daughters, so I've been doing a lot of activities. Over 300 active minutes so far this week.

Aw, February 1st! or the 1st of any month. A new month, a new chance to start again. And I shall! I feel so energized today, I hope this feeling to lasts the whole month. I wish I wasn't inside. It's cold out, but I'd rather be out than in right now. I feel like singing or just going nuts! I hope everyone smiles today! or laughs! or finds something that brightens your day!
Have a great one!7 -

You all are doing GREAT! I do think we need to reframe Mondays. It doesn’t have to be the “Uggg. Monday” mentality. That red reset button is always available to us on Monday to create whatever kind of week we want.
And @MmamabearR, what a lovely way to usher in February! Your enthusiasm is infectious! And @texasgardnr, I enjoyed reading your insightful post. We’ve missed you!
I’m really proud of our group!
I’m up to 121 exercise minutes this week.6 -
Awesome! I am proud of us! Thanks for this challenge. It was inspiring!3

@themedalist I took a leaf out of your book and brought my library book with me to the gym and read a few chapters as I was pedaling away on a bike. It made the time fly by! Lol4
-
It's been -30C here so walks outside are not happening so much this week lol. Need to get some minutes in this weekend, I'll aim for 90!3

20 minutes on the bike today. I used wireless headphones and listened to the audiobook “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn”. I’m only up to 91 minutes of formal exercise this week but that’s definitely an improvement for me. And there’s the weekend ahead to get another 59 minutes...or more.5
-
I just checked my weekly totals of minutes. I'm at 256 minutes and it's only Friday! Lol. I've fallen in love with the gym again. I plan on going to the gym maybe tomorrow but definitely Sunday. So it'll be more! It's too cold to walk outside yet. But when spring comes I'll be spending a lot of time walking again and the DH bought me a new bike for Christmas so I'll be taking that out as well!7

@77tes I love this picture! It is so me! My new year started around January 25. Lol. So I'm saying February 1st!4

I just love reading your updates!
And I have a “pre-challenge” for you.
If Mondays can be reframed, so can vegetables. If your gut reaction is “Uggg, vegetables”, let’s work on this this coming week as our focus will be on eating more fruits and veggies. Whatever your eating style, getting enough vegetables and fruits is a universal recommendation.
I still struggle to get 5 to 9 servings a day. But I’ve learned there are lots of creative and tasty ways to enjoy veggies. I’m getting a serving of veggies for breakfast in my carrot cake baked oatmeal. It is unbelievably delicious, healthy, and easy to make. I’m looking forward to hearing your favorite ways to serve veggies and getting some new recipes.
If Mondays can get a makeover, so can vegetables. Let’s do this!

This is an awesome challenge which sets the pace for the entire week, for me on Monday I added some floor exercise to my workout routine. Oops did I say floor exercise, how simple and yet something that doesn't require any special equipment or gym membership. I do look forward each week to the coming challenge of the week. Oh for the second part of this challenge, the 150 minutes of more, that has been my personal goal right along. I have actually been exceeding that amount, and in fact increasing the time and intensity almost daily. Having suddenly found extra energy and flexibility from weigh loss and good diet choices is very exciting for me. Who said you couldn't turn back the clock....or drink from the fountain of youth? Perhaps it isn't actually turning back the clock, but it sure does feel good.4

So earlier in the week, we were talking about getting in 150 minutes of exercising this week, am I correct? Well, I totally killed it. Lol. I was at something like 815. The 8 hours of cleaning, organizing, and decluttering helped but if not I still would have been over by around 150 or so! I am so incredibly proud of myself this week! I really do think Monday did it for me. I remember that on Monday I was going to use it as a rest day. I didn't even have it scheduled on my To-Do list but I had some extra time and went anyway. I think it really did start my week off right. I did take 2 rest days from the gym but one of those days was the cleaning day. I think I came home more tired from that then I do from the gym usually! Lol. It's just been a great week!5

Great attitude Sassy. I too actually was looking forward to finding out what the next challenge was. I met the 250 challenge lasr week, got going on Monday, and am looking forward to working on this weeks challenge. What exactly is a serving of fruits and veggies? Is it different for each meal. The oatmeal carrot cake looks yummy. Can you share the recipe? When i finish here, i am heading over to the kitchen( which isnt very far-we live in an rv) and making a banana coffee smoothie. Also, there was a recipe on the homepage for a cauliflower cheese bake that is excellent. I have made it a couple of times in the last two weeks. Much success this week. Keep moving and losing.
