    @ Dave - I guess I should have updated yesterday since it was a holiday, but being retired sometimes it doesn't register that other people might want to enjoy a 3 day weekend. Sorry!

    I went for a 3 mile "run" yesterday but something was funny in my leg and I didn't want to aggravate it so there was a lot of walking involved. Today I went for a 3 mile walk (because it was hot, not because my leg was still acting up). As I walked along a stretch of beach I saw an elderly women having trouble getting out of her beach chair so I offered her my hand. I quickly learned that she was determined to walk across the sand to find her daughter who was in the water, only she was none too steady. So I ended up walking with her the 50 feet or so to find her daughter who was swimming and had missed the whole episode. Her daughter was sure surprised to see her mom at the water's edge and glad I had made sure she didn't fall! They were both very nice and when I explained I have a 90 year old mother, the daughter and I exchanged knowing looks.

    Anyway, with the last two days of moving I'm at 75/75 and that makes GOAL! On to the bonus miles.

    @DJMICHEALS - Yes, it was a mess! My sweetie had the day off yesterday and didn't go anywhere and when I went to scrape ice & snow off her car windows this morning, it was really thick! Had to start and warm up the car for a good 15 minutes first and then took a stick of dynamite to it.... :lol: Almost... :)

    Got 2.0 bonus miles in on the treadmill this morning with a brisk-as-I-could-stand-it walk. Looking forward to an "easy" day of lifting tomorrow after the two fairly strenuous cardio days. :smile:

    My kids just kicked our JRFH event over $30,000.00. I cannot believe it....yikes! It was in the 70's here today and my kids complained that it was too hot outside. What a bunch of wimpy kids.
    I had my retirement exit meeting tonight. Makes things real now.

    Adding 1.2 miles, part of that was a lap around the track while doing lunges. It's part of a weekly fitness challenge I'm doing at the gym. A new thing each week, for time. There are only three of us signed up and one of them seems to have dropped out.

    @clepant great job with the $ and even better news with the retirement meeting. I'm jealous but very happy for you.

    Still no commuting. -6 F this morning. Should start warming up tomorrow. The low is expected to be up to 1 degree above 0 F. Hopefully by next week I'll be commuting again.

    @Dean:Yikes....don’t wipe out in a snow drift or embankment.
    My hubby added more sand bags today in our side yard near the road. Our neighbor has a sump pump draining to the corner of his property and diverting it in the slight swell along our road edge.With all the rain and 5 more inches to come in the next two days, He has been flooding our yard and destroying some of my planting beds. You cannot divert water onto someone else’s property so I have to get more video of it pumping out of his yard and take it to our township managers. What fun. When Ivan went through years ago, we had a similar issue except that most of his yard washed into our yard because he had no grass to hold his dirt. When we removed a tree, that allowed him to plant grass and it has not been an issue since. Just the sump pump.
    Feb. 21:Adding 9 miles today of walking 6 and biking 3 miles.

    @clepant - Tha'ts crazy! What would it cost to get an extra 30 feet of hose and run it into the street rather than your yard? Even if he placed sand bags to block it from your property that would be cheap. It would also give him something to fill in where the water washes out the yard. So much for the good neighbor policy.

    @SUFFERLANDRIAN - That is a gorgeous picture, Dean, but it still looks awfully cold!! :smiley: We're supposed to get a few more inches of snow the next couple of days, but then it's supposed to warm up into the 30's for a while. Hopefully that'll be the minimum until Summer. :)

    I got 7.0 more bonus miles in at the gym this morning! Stationary bike, StairMaster, and Treadmill. It's getting easier to push now too. :+1:
