    Wanted a full body workout today, but a pain in my pelvis that isn't healing made me just go upper body. Still went heavy! The mass is coming.

    I recently started doing squats with the free weight bar at the gym--I had been using the leg press machine for years. I'm also a runner. During a run a few weeks ago my right hip started hurting for the first time ever. It's been this way since. After some research it looks like I have an inflamed Tensor fasciae latae (muscle on side of hip). Anybody had that triggered by squats? I can't figure out what else would have triggered it, I was running 7 mile runs with impunity for some time, the start of squats was new. I'm bummed out about not being able to run, I'm trying to keep ice on it and use the roller pad on it at the gym along with some stretches for it I learned on YouTube. Any advice or me too stories will be appreciated.

    I've recently started doing StronglIfts 5x5.

    Today:
    5x5 squats (120lbs)
    5x5 overhead press (65lbs)
    1x5 deadlift (125 lbs)

    I know the weights are light, but not for long.
