I just joined last week after starting Keto which turned into a modified version/dirty Keto, less than 20 carbs a day isn’t sustainable for me. Anyway, it seems to be working after nothing else I tried moved the scale one bit. Forgot to post on Sunday. My goal for September is to get to 150.

    SW: 167
    GW: 130
    9/12 161.4
    9/16
    9/23
    9/30

    Good luck everyone!

Hi, just wondering is you were doing total or net carbs, that makes a difference to being able to keep to it for me anyhow!

Not sure why my willpower when it comes to food has gotten worse as I've gotten closer to my goal. Because I am no longer as unhappy with my size as I was? Because I am close, so I figure I will do it when I do it? I have been so busy and so tired that my moments of feeling like "I can do this!" are fleeting.
The 'high' of losing 20+ lbs is gone, and I need to get to the next level because I'm feeling pretty down. I can't complain that I'm 'stuck' at my current weight, because I haven't truly worked lately to get it to move.
I think I'll clean out my closet this weekend - sometimes working on what fits and what doesn't is motivating.

    @KristinLeeD

Just a couple of things, firstly keep remembering the 20+ you've lost. That's important and also take a break and don't beat yourself up. The key thing is to try to stay around where you are now. That gives you time to stabilise and get used to where you are. Enjoy where you are for a while. That's a triumph in itself. Personally I've been dodging around the 148/151 mark for weeks if not months but at some point I'll loose a bit more but the key thing just keeping off what you have lost and not letting it creep back.
For me the second thing is a bit more personal; are you sure you need to be 115? That's very light and unless you are very petite maybe you are about at where you should be as 130 is not at all heavy or overweight so maybe your goal is what is unrealistic and your body is saying whoa there girl, give me a break and look at how great you look now?
So don't beat yourself up, enjoy being where you are and just try not to put it back on and consider that a triumph!

Hello everyone and welcome to the newbies or comebacks,

Felt off the wagon during labor day weekend and gained back what i lost during August. So starting September, I am back to my pre August weight. Goals for September: Prep, prep, and prep. Buy some keto friendly snacks. Have backup meals for when enable to cook. Try to cook extra dinner to have leftover for lunch. I am still maintaining dairy free. I am slowly introducing back almond flour and coconut flour as well. And I am allowing myself some extra carbs from some fruits other than berries like grapes, plums but just a little and not everyday. I am taking some medicine for my hypothyroidism and hopefully that will help as well. I have just celebrated my 90 days on keto. On to the next serious 90 days.

But i am so excited because fall (with hopefully early snow in Nov) is my favorite season. Still hoping to reach my goals by end of year. Will try to do more gentle yoga this week as well.

    Started Keto: May 9, 2018
    Starting Weight: 210.4
Lowest weight so far (pre-vacation): 186.4
    (Loss of 22” and 24Lbs!)
    Post-vacation weight 9/04: 192.4
    Next goals:
    10/19 - 179
    12/17 - 169
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 145

    Sunday 09/02 - On vacation
    Sunday 09/09 - 188.2
Sunday 09/16 - 188.2 I seem to have plateaued and that upsets me because I sill have a LONG way to go in terms of goals. I know that I’ve been letting the carb count creep back up slowly. I’m going to up my exercise this week and stay away from the keto « treats » and see if that helps. I need to see 185 before this month is over!

I'm not sure if I'm pleased or frustrated that I have maintained my weight loss the last two and a half months. I could have been losing all that time instead of "taking a break". It seemed like I deserved it at the time but getting back into Ketosis has been very challenging! I clearly underestimated the commitment and effort it took when I first started Keto. The up side is that I haven't gained a significant amount of weight. This hiatus demonstrates that I can maintain my weight on a low carb diet.

I've been attempting a fat fast (a version from the website Ruled Me) the last two days. I've gone way over on my calories both days but I've still lost some weight. It doesn't work for me to make a recipe that is supposed to last 2-3 meals - I eat it all in 2-3 hours!! I started off this month with the goal to eat clean Keto, but that didn't last very long. It takes a lot more planning to eat dairy free Keto. I've been drinking caffeine as well.

My birthday is in a little over a month and I want to be in the "normal" BMI (Body Mass Index) range. This means, for my height and age, I should be 148 lbs or less. That is 10 lbs in 5 weeks - very doable, yet still ambitious.

Started my bowling league last night. We have a 3-person team, my wife, me and our neighbor lady. The ladies like to drink beer and I like to bowl. It is a fun league with more emphasis on socializing, drinking and fun than bowling. The name of our team is health related, “Irritable Bowl Syndrome”. This year the ladies wear shirts that say, “Take a Pitcher It Lasts Longer”. I wear my, “I Can’t I’m In Ketosis” shirt.

I won’t tell you what our scores were, but I will tell you my bowling NSV. Last year bowling was hard for me because my joints would hurt, and I would run out of energy by the end of three games. Even though I’m recovering from a left dislocated shoulder, my right arm and the rest of my joints felt great last night. I attribute that to eating fat. I’m not sure keto will improve my scores, but I’m thinking this is going to be the best bowling season I’ve had in a long time. I <3 keto and bowling!

Two and a half weeks before I'm heading to my vacation/birthday week extravaganza/sisters weekend gateway!!! I'm so excited about this.
This week was a challenge. Sunday was a big family meal and it was my first real cheat- don't bother to log meal. I spent most of that day in the kitchen cooking and baking, but at the end, I ate well and had a few bites of everything and even a small piece of honey-apple-cinnamon cake (nothing Keto here 🤣). I felt in control and I enjoyed wearing my dress and just finding joy without worrying of focusing on food.
The rest of the week was very stressful at work, and I skipped my water and lunch on multiple days, so that wasn't good. And I did find myself coming home and eating a pack of cream cheese - I was just too tired and hungry to make anything - at least it was Keto friendly, but also kinda made me a bit sick.
I hope to reach my September goal by the time I'm heading on vacation, not that it matters much , but would be nice to celebrate my birthday at Onederland.

I'm so glad to be part of this community
