Boy today was hard. I left work and got stuck in crazy traffic and had to stop for gas and was so freaking hungry so I ate as soon as I got home and then did not want to do anything. But this was 15 minutes all and I'd miss the streak here. Thanks for having this posting, it helped get me off the couch, if only for 15 minutes.3 -
Worked hard on the miles today because of a big meal I had planned. I'm not sure it was worth it.
9 Miles: 5 Fat Burning Miles (Miles #2, 3 , 4 & 5 twice)
25 of 145 miles
Wishing health and strength to all the walkers who are dealing with issues, big and small. :flowerforyou:2 -
I like AnnofB's goal. Hope you don't mind me replicating it. It's a sensible start for me.
Goal: At least 30 minutes of some exercise, 5 days a week.
10/3 Walk, 30 minutes
10/4 Walk, 30 minutes3 -
I'm a bit sluggish at the start of this month. Fall is trying to settle in and it seems to be pushing my motivation toward winter hibernation. 10 Min power walk with Jessica Smith and 1 Mile Walk & Talk from Youtube as well.2

Hi! I'm a little late, but I would like to join for October too. I am in desperate need of consistency, so I'm going to start at a pace that I can maintain. My goal for October is 1 mile or more each day with a goal of 30 miles or more for the month. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy October!🙂2

Great NSV. And every time you get your walk in, it's just reinforcing the need/desire to do it again. And that = success.0 -

Deeder, I just read my comment on your post. I was trying to convey that you did a pretty intensive workout, even though you had a "sluggish" start to your month. I hope that makes more sense than what I orginally said. Can't edit after an hour, dang it.2

I have come to the conclusion that fall is my New Year! I love it when the air cools off and it gets brisk and I can open the house and let the wind blow through it. For some reason it energizes me the way the New Year energizes other people. Of course, it could also be that since I have been in education for so long, September is actually my New Year! Winter is still my favorite season, but I think Fall is giving it some stiff competition!
Walk strong Everyone! :bigsmile:3 -

I feel you @zichab, autumn is my favorite time of year! I also think it's quite invigorating. However it's been in the 80s for over a week here and the humidity is back. It's so sad! which is why I'm walking indoors yet!2 -

Like VeggieGirl, I'm still waiting for just a tiny hint of fall. The weather guessers say maybe next week. Late fall, early winter - I love that time of year.0 -

Oh no Veggiegirl and AnnofB! Not 80s!!! I put my air conditioning on long before that temperature hits!!! MI has been between 38F (3.3C) and 62F(16.6C) this week and it was a lovely 65F (18.3C) today! It is however raining every 5 minutes so it is a little humid. However, it still beats 80!
hellovegas It is smart to go to bed with a cold rather than working out. Colds make it so hard to breath and let's face it, working out requires a lot of air. There are days when we just have to say "the heck with it!" Feel better soon
Walk Strong Everyone! :bigsmile:0 -
9 Miles: 4 Mile Walk + 5 Boosted Miles!!

Hitting it hard at the beginning of the month should give me some shorter mile days so I can really work on strength.
Lucky @zichab! I'm super jealous of your cool temps!! Yes, it definitely beats 80F! When I say 80s, I really mean high 80s. We almost hit 90 on Friday, it was 89F!!2 -

Did Jessica Smith new Walk & Talk this AM. Weather is going to keep me inside still Oh Michigan. Today and Tomorrow 80's and muggy before storms come in on Wednesday which will usher in temps down into the low 50's. I started the day in my warm weather workout clothes and will end it in shorts and a tank top.1 -
