I seem to take 3 steps forward and 2 back. But at least I'm moving forward, albeit slowly. Been sick this week and the cough syrup I suspect has sugar in it - but I have to sleep. The throat lozenges too, even though they are SF, have maltodextrin. For the first time in almost 2 months I only had trace amounts of ketones. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I need this sinus infection to be gone!

And up again this week. Oops. LOL! I'm not too worried about it. NSV for me: I'm down to a size 14 in pants! Down from a size 24, that's HUGE! I can't even remember the last time I was a size 14... Maybe when I was a freshman in highschool. Maybe. So loving it!

New pant size is so much more important than a number on the scale. Congratulations, what a great achievement.

oh yes, I've been eating tortilla chips and guacamole on the daily. However, I'm not going overboard about it. It's worth sharing and enjoying a meal out with my friends who are visiting from out of town.

    Thanksgiving Morning: 158

Just wanted to get on the record that, as of Thanksgiving morning, I am 20 pounds down, halfway to goal weight. I would love to hit 155 by Christmas (I'm a slower loser, and just had a whoosh, so I don't expect my body to drop much in the next few weeks). It seems most dishes this evening will be keto friendly, but I know I will partake in my cousin's mashed potatoes, as well as plenty of good vino (though not too much, as I am working tomorrow!).

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Of all of the things I have to be thankful for this year, keto is at the top of my list. I <3 keto and I'm thankful I'm a member of this group. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you all enjoy the food you eat, especially if you choose to partake of all the non-keto goodies. I am going to have multiple splurges and wish the same to you :)

Original start weight: May 27, 175 lbs
    Goal weight: not sure

    NOVEMBER:
    Sunday 10/28:  134.2
    Sunday 11/04:  133.4 (-0.8)
    Sunday 11/11:  132.8 (-0.6)
    Sunday 11/18:  132.4 (-0.4)
    Sunday 11/25:  129.8 (-2.6)
    Total: -4.4

I'm getting really close to where I want to be, there is just this last big of jiggle I'm hoping will eventually go away. Originally my goal weight was 135, then 130 now I wonder if 125 is the right place for me? (I'm 5'6 but don't have a lot of muscle tone)

We will see what the future holds.

Sunday 11/18 no access to scale

Not sure how to explain the gain this week and maybe I shouldn't. I've been staying on program and only had little "cheats" but still within my macros. I was so hoping to reach my November goal. I guess I have 5 days of hardworking ahead of me to try to get as close as possible.

    Started Keto: July 18
    Starting Weight: 174kg/383.6lbs
    Sunday 10/28: 148.4kg/327.2lbs
    Goal Weight: 78.5kg/173lbs

    Sunday 11/04: 146.14kg/322.2lbs
    Sunday 11/11: 144.24kg/318lbs
    Sunday 11/18: 144.3kg /318.2lbs
    Sunday 11/25: 145.5kg / 320.8lbs

    Today's Weight: 145.5kg / 320.8lbs

Going back to a standard carb diet was not good. I felt hungry, starved, ravenous, and had so many cravings it was insane. Just had to keep eating and never was satisfied. Considering my peak day was somewhere in the 3600 calorie range from pure driven-to-eat feeling of starving.. I'd say I'm glad I have some keto breath this morning and know now that going back is just not an option for me.. ever, it seems.

That's fine, I actually do enjoy keto as a diet, especially after the carb cravings ended. With it getting more and more popular, there are even better options coming out. So while I am up in weight from before.. I've had my experience of going back to carb normal, knowing it won't work for me, and have that practical experience to pull from in the future. Really, 100 carbs total in a day is the limit before I feel utterly terrible. I can handle keto, and probably low carb long term.

Thanksgiving was wonderful. Gained over a pound just from the one day of sweet potatoes with marshmallows, jello salad, and all the pie I could eat. I actually was pretty proud of myself for NOT feeling guilty afterward, because I knew I’d drop the weight again, and I did within 24 hours. I did not even attempt to work out this month, so I’m going to have to come up with a more realistic goal next month.

Hey everyone. I’m back after a long hiatus. Decided to try out keto again. I did not eat thanksgiving dinner so that helped a lot. It helps that my hubby’s family doesn’t cook anything out of the ordinary (besides turkey), so I can eat “thanksgiving dinner” once I reach my goal weight and I won’t have to wait until next year’s thanksgiving lol
