It was a great day yesterday and I'm really happy with how the last week has gone. I'm going to work hard to continue this string! Sorry to the members on the Step Challenge for my steps being low yesterday. I didn’t have pockets yesterday and kept forgetting to grab my phone to track steps! My Week Steps should look much better next week too.
T.E.A.M. Pledge
Today, every act matters. Every small step I take to reach my goal is a step towards a healthier body. My goal for today is to:
Get to bed by 10:30. I haven’t gone to bed before 11:30 for probably a week or more and I’m feeling it. Just so many things to do!
These are the small steps I have taken to make the day successful:
-Exercise and do yoga immediately after kids are in bed.
-Start getting ready for bed by 10:00.
Thanks for all the support and inspiration and ideas on here! Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

Yes, we are so close! You had another fabulous week!2 -
Mrsbell8well wrote: »@nstephenson01 I LOVE new books!!! Have you tried thriftbooks.com? I get most of mine from that source...including the moon juice cookbook which happened to have been a library book! Just adds to the charm.
I haven't tried thriftbooks.com. I'll take a look at it. I use Better World Books quite a bit. I prefer to buy used books when I can (especially fiction).2 -
Great week @shirin_K!!3

@eminater glad you didn't quit. now we need to get you back to onederland. you can do it!
@eyesopennow that scale can be so fickle. can you sneek up on it and jump? maybe if it didn't see you coming!! lol
@carlsoda good job on commiting to the yoga. just think in January you will be like gumby! lol
@lennoncpa I am so glad you are enjoying your scale. I love mine! and you will start to get really good a guessing portions once you start practicing!
@kirsten11872 you are doing so good with the IF. I am glad it is working for you.
@nstephenson01 you knew it would be a gain. however it is very small. you know how to make it go down. what will you do differently this coming week?
@Mrsbell8well you make your life sound so whimsical. your always learning new things and exploring different options with little apprehension. I love it!!
@Shirin_K woooo whooo the scale goes down. that is wonderful. your hard work is paying off. be proud today. you have been really focused!!

@sleepymom5 @cyndiesstuff I now this whole weight loss process is hard to understand. But I'm here strong because I did everything right this whole week. I ate healthy and did my exercises. So wether the scale moves or not I'm in best frame of mind.4

Exercise doesn’t need to be a continuous 30 or 60 minutes a day. It can be spurts of activity throughout the day or anything that gets you moving and ups your heart rate even if it’s just for 5 or 10 minutes.
TIPS:
•Start small. 10 or 15 minutes of activity here or there is a great way to start.
•Set goals. We’re way more likely to do something if we set clear, concrete goals (for example, plan ahead to go hiking with friends on Saturday morning at 11 am or sign up for the yoga class Wednesday night at 6 pm). Then write it down. Put it on your calendar.
•Be realistic. If you’re not used to exercising, aiming to workout 5 days a week is unrealistic. Instead, try starting with 1 or 2 days at first.
•Experiment with different things to find something you like. Most gyms and classes will let you try a class out for free to see if you like it.
•Mix it up to keep it interesting – exercise doesn’t have to feel like exercise.
•It may take a little time to notice the benefits of exercise – so stick with it.
•Find little ways to increase your activity level during the day. Try parking further from the mall, take the stairs, walk home for school or work, or get off a few stops early and walk home.

I have been working out every day except for 1 and logging all my food and I still have a gain. I'm going to have to weigh my food better I think. Hopefully that's the problem. I'm not listening to the Dr. My body does not like this weight.4

@pacsnc6 - I am struggling big time with the cold weather hibernation reflex. I appreciate hearing others have same.
I finished the 34 minutes of yoga yesterday (after having started and made it through about halfway). It was so good to see how much of it I could do. Lots of progress in flexibility since 4 months ago! I started another 35 minute video today and only made it 17 minutes, but I will not let that get me down. Tomorrow I will finish it. Baby steps. Trying to remember - Can’t let great become the enemy of good.
Hope you all are having a great day. Love reading all the messages!3 -

Just a quick update! As I am a little busy today :
Food: 1485 cal
Steps: over 20 000 but not in bed yet so it’ll be a little bit more by 11pm
Excercise:
75 mins walk while it was 28 degrees out yikes - this cold weather sucks!!
25 mins treadmill
65 weights - legs
Water intake 84oz - someone asked me so I tracked today, normally I don’t. I do intermittent fasting and I only eat from 12-7pm
Usually I get up at 645-7am and for first 5hours I drink teas, water and huge coffee so I know I’m drinking quite a lot liquids.
I looked through spreadsheet in the step challenge group and guys our team is killing it! awesome job!!!!!!!
Tomorrow is Friday first week almost over
Oh and every little bit counts, even if you can get 20 mins of excerise a day it helps. Mentally and physically.
Let’s push through this hardest month... this is the time of the year when a lot of people get off wagon and get into really tough state of mind, guilt etc. At least I used to every single December and January.
Let’s not let that happen this year and eat well and stay on track... this is such a strong team!

Good Evening Everyone,
Running a little late this evening. Had a class tonight that ran over. So, I will be brief. Les Brown once stated that “Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.” So, I will ask each of you is fear holding you back? Fear of failure? Fear of success? Fear of the unknown? While a little fear can give a healthy dose of caution, fear must be dealt with quickly and confidently. Otherwise it becomes very destructive.
When you fear something, if you dwell on it, you are giving that thing more and more power. Just by thinking about the thing you fear, you can cause it to happen. The point is, your fears need to be resolved. Sort of like taking out the garbage. Fears build up as a result of our activities. They’re a necessary part of life, but if they stay around too long, they start to really get messy. Acknowledge your fears, deal with them, and get on with what you need to do.
Wherever you are right now, remember you can be better than yesterday. You can be the successful version of you. You can witness the bright future meant for you. When you take the initiative to change, the universe will bless you with more opportunities. Don’t worry on how slow your journey is. Every day is a battle with and within ourselves. Nevertheless, when all is said and done, the journey will always be your most treasured reward.

Day 5 in my string
Great day! I actually did my walking tape before the trainer because I don't get a ton of steps in there. Turns out, yesterday I did lol! Great day. Made a zucchini lasagne last night for dinner. It was good but I always have a problem with the zucchini making everything a little soupy. I did bake them in the oven first so I am sure it would have been worse. I also would cut way back on the cheese...did I just say that?! I love cheese but seriously could have cut it in half and still would have been good. Today another busy day with a lot of running around so I have to get moving. I won't have a chance to exercise until later in the day. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! It's FRIDAY!!
I rolled a 5 so an outdoor activity...Does picking up Daisy's poop count?
I am doing the same pledge as yesterday, I have to be sure I get exercise and my steps in.
@pacsnc6 Sounds like another great day!3 -
@Danananas Sorry! I forgot to put you on the weigh-in list! Your weigh in is due today too!

Good morning all! Happy Friday!!
Quick update today!
Yesterday was another good day food wise, step wise and water wise. And I got in 20 minutes of yoga with adriene!
We're going to my grandsons 2nd birthday party tomorrow so I need to be careful with food and try to get in yoga and steps before we go. It's amazing how at a party you don't get in any steps at all!
Have a wonderful successful day!!3 -

@sleepymom5 nice loss Pam! Onderland is singing out to you. @mandi5512 Oooooh nice December loss. Congrats!!!
@eyesopennow well...it did go down. I know you struggled last week with being too hungry. Do you have a plan for this week that will keep you energized and on plan?
@lennoncpa Hey as they say a maintain is good. It's probably not what you were hoping for. But make a plan and stick to it for this week and you will see the scale matching your efforts. I really like your tackling one new thing a month. I have written a list this morning of areas that I can improve. I am usually an all or nothing kind of girl. Trying to figure out how to spread it all out for both mental and physical well being. I want to be successful for the long joyful journey. Not just a quick fix.
@carlsoda Good Friday to you! Great job on your progress. Yes birthday parties can be a challenge. But thinking about it and planning ahead really makes a difference. Enjoy your time with your grandson.
@pacsnc6 I love your consistency! Great job.
@phoebe112476 I love baby steps! Great job to you as well. These baby steps absolutely get us to where we want to be!
@sleepymom5 Yes I do feel like I am building with each new program I discover. I am actually committing to an "Angelina" program. I am taking the best of all of them and customizing a plan that feels right for me. After all...I am the real expert on me...Right?
@jbfitness0512 "You can be the successful version of you"...I love this. I often ponder on what this would look like. Always working to enjoy where I am now and manifest each day a new successful version of who I want to be.
@lenka1 wow you really get the workouts in. That is a lot of cardio. Great job meeting your goals!
@ljdanny Your doing such a great job with everything you are going through. I have been in awe of how early you get up. I used to be like that. I am getting more done in the morning this month and would love to get up even earlier. Your an inspiration.
@cyndiesstuff Thanks for all your kind words and support. On this journey of mine I know I get "crazy" at times but I am always trying to find what is right for me. I appreciate all you do in leading this team.
@bbcbw I love your renewed spirit. You can make this a December to Remember.
@amsandos I love reading about your running excursions. I am planning to start the C25K on December 16th. Looking forward to it.
@kirsten11872 I have loved following your progress! Your attempts are so human, relatable and most of all ultimately successful as you improve your health each and every day! So glad you are on this team. It is a constant journey of self discovery, tweaking and being tenacious to manifest our best mind and bodies.5 -
Daily check in Thursday
food-day 4 of cleanse
water-88oz
exercise-30 minutes with Lula Mae
steps-14,997...seriously??? I couldn't just take 3 more steps??? oh well thrilled to have such a high count.
I told you all about my overhaul on our fridge a few months ago. I emptied fridge and freezer but saved a bottom drawer for Molly to have for meats, eggs, cheeses etc. And a few small packages of chicken, fish and pork in the freezer.
Molly loved her packed lunch yesterday. I gave her plenty of options...and gusty girl that she is...she ended up eating everything that I had packed. When she came home she said "you know that meat in the fridge? Go ahead and get rid of it. I love eating what you are eating." Nice!
Gotta run...more later. I will say I had another very successful morning. The cleanse is really revitalizing me as well.4
