I joined a virtual race. I know it's nothing big but it will keep me moving and hopefully it will give me motivation to join a real race next year. I don't think the scale budged this week, we will find out tomorrow. I decided to take today as a complete rest day from exercise. Dr said the pins will come out of my son's wrist in 2 weeks and then he can start physical therapy on the wrist. He already goes for his fingers. Sounded like they won't be putting another cast on. Making progress.4

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
I hope each of you had an Amazing day. As for me, my day was God filled and blessed. Although I didn’t weight train today, I still fulfilled my cardio obligation and my nutritional intake wasn’t half bad. Though there are a couple areas that require some adjustments. But based on my expectations I am happy with my small level of success for today. Which brings me to a thought I wanted to share.
Your expectations play a key role in the reality of your life. Your mind is a powerful goal-seeking device. When you point it in the right direction, with positive expectations, it will do whatever is necessary to get you where you want to go. The more consistently you keep your mind on your positive expectations, the faster they will become a reality.
Learn to expect the best from yourself. In the way you talk to yourself, in the way you plan for the future, in the choices you make. Ask yourself, as often as possible, what you would do if you were truly headed in the direction of your goals. And then just do it.
As always, I am cheering for each of you to be the Best that You Can Be. This is because I believe in You!!!

Good evening everyone! Had a nice dinner with my friend, I did not get what I had planned as my friend had something else in mind. I wasn't sure what I was going to get so I was looking at the menu all day so I knew that menu inside and out. Lol! I knew what my friend suggested would fit in my day so we shared an app and two meals. Now my exciting portion control news...My friend is a normal weight, she isn't fat and she isn't skinny. She looks great and takes care of her self. The food was delicious and when my friend stopped eating, I stopped. Believe me, I didn't want to but I did. I logged that I ate 1/3 of each meal but I am pretty sure it was closer to 1/4. I made her take the leftovers home so I could get right back to eating normally. I am proud of myself, I would have eaten what was left on the plates before I started paying attention to how much I was eating and actually starting to be a little self conscious about it. So although I had to follow someone's cue, at least I picked up on it and stopped eating.
@lenka1 you definitely deserve a rest day! They are important, especially if you’re lifting.
@mrsbell8well. Omg! Lulamae is so cute!! And of course so are you but you look a bit cold! I am not surprised that the Heath assessment at work went so well. That is ultimately what this is all about! Fabulous, productive day!
@carlsoda. Don’t feel obligated to respond to everyone. I don’t want this to be supportive and helpful not stressful! Hope you enjoyed the yoga tonight!
@pacsnc6 I was thinking rolling a 6 would require some thought
@code4food I am so glad you’re feeling better. 170s by 2018-You got this!
@cassiegetsfit2013 just try your best to get a little more water than you usually do
@shirin_k Another great day!
@ashleigh1178- I am so glad you are here. I thought we had lost you the other week! You are doing great-another good day!
@lennoncpa That is funny how things turn around with kids! I am sure he will appreciate what you were going through now that he’s doing it.
@nstephenson Sounds like you worked that eggnog off before you even drank it! Great job! It has been cold here the past couple of days but I am pretty sure you would laugh at what we consider cold. And also when we have a snow flurry and everyone is so excited to see snow! Lol! That is awesome that you ordered those cookbooks! If you enjoy any of the recipes you will have to pass it along!
@phoebe112476. That looks so good! What kind of ravioli is it?
@ljdanny I know a few people that love those virtual races! That will be a great motivator for you! I am happy to hear your son is making progress. Thanks for the update.
@jedaschultz thanks for your step count. You are doing great
@lyssysho26. Sounds like you are going a little better. I am glad you are still exercising and logging. Hang in there! Hugs!
@mandi5512 glad mostly everyone is feeling better today. Sounds like a productive day! Hope the last little one feels better soon and your husband enjoys his BD. What is a Yule log? I thought that was an actual log..
Jbfitness67 That is one of my biggest struggles that I am working on. Positive self talk. Man, I could listen to you all day! Nice loss for the week! You are doing great!5 -

Good evening!
Late check in today. I’m just so beat up and quite sore in my triceps and calves so I took it very easy today.
Calories eaten 1314,
40 min very low impact cardio on treadmill (3.5mph)
11 112 steps
I took a peek today and I’m down 3 pounds from dec 1, however the last week of November I didn’t loose at all but gained 0.4 so this will be my 2 week effort most likely. We will see on Saturday.
I have a 60 min walk and weights planned for tomorrow but not 100% sure if I’ll be able to. If not I’m def at least walking and moving workout to Friday afternoon. No big deal - but I like to stay on schedule.
Hope everyone had a great day! I was really tired and low energy today but some days are worse.
I got to play with my daughter a lot and sit around so I think she was happy that mommy was tired! Dominoes and dolls. We had fun

great loss @bbcbw well done.
So I rolled 2 so I am focusing on my water intake. I had to figure out what 100 US oz was in millitres and it was 2700ish. So 2.7litres. I couldn't picture that so I had to convert it back into Imperial pints. Then I realised that my glass at work holds a can which is 330ml. So if anything this challenge has given my brain a work out. Crazy brits using two measurement systems!
I did some yoga this morning but after a serious swim session yesterday evening I am both hungry and thirsty.

Day 8 in my string
i am sitting here this morning thinking about how far i have come. it is time for me to step on the scale this morning and i am a little apprehensive. i know that i shouldn't be. i am really reflecting on how poorly i did at maintenance. I have analyzed where i went wrong. i will do better next time. oh yea, and i did my yoga last nite the team pledge helps me by making me plan for success!!
ohhhh coffee is ready! i'll be right back.
@Mrsbell8well awesome job on your weight loss. and look at you all bundled up like a snow lady!! you have a great nsv there with that wellness check. be proud of how far you have come!! i am glad you seem to be feeling better. this liver cleanse seems to be help you. how has molly been feeling? has she changed the way she eats?
@carlsoda you are doing great. and don't worry about responding to everyone. but please read thru them. you never know what you might learn.
@code4food i am glad you are feeling better. i will be rooting for you to make it below the 170 mark before 2019! great goal.
@Shirin_K you have had a great string of days. good job at sticking to you TEAM pledge. I cant wait to see your weight in.
@Ashleigh1178 i like your spirit girl. you just keep moving forward everyday. good job.
@lennoncpa I did a fast once. it was difficult but rewarding.
@nstephenson01 it is cold here too. it was 22 degrees yesterday with a wind chill of 15. burrrr. i am not big on the cold. but i put up with it because i love the change of seasons. maybe one day i will move. i love your new books and the merry christmas to yourself.
@jedaschultz they have been added to the weigh in spread sheet!
@Lyssysho26 i am praying for relief for you. keep going forward, things are bound to look up. i want to make a suggestion about a book. it is called the beck diet solution, it is not really a diet at all but it uses cognitive behavioural therapy to help you change the way you think about food. look into it. it just may help.
@phoebe112476 that dinner looks yummmmm. i love diet food!
@ljdanny if the virtual race motivates you then it is a big deal. it is the first step to something bigger!! good job.
@Mandi5512 ohhh no. yule log and fried chicken. well you can peel the skin off the chicken and then it is no problem. plan your food in advance and record it before you have your dinner. that way you have made a written commitment to yourself. so much harder to back out of. good luck. you can do this!
@jbfitnss67 you are so right. our brains are made to fulfill our dreams. love your positive attitude buddy! love reading your posts. you had a nice loss this week. good job. when do you see the doctor about your pain?
@sleepymom5 look at the new you go! portion control is so very important. see how good that felt to do what you know is going to further you to your goal. commit that feeling to memory so next time you can use it as motivation to do what you know you need to.
@lenka1 you are doing wonderful. your exercise is on point and your food is on track. how do you do on getting in your water?
@bbcbw thats just a small gain. how are your doing? what does your day look like? what will you do this week to make that scale move in the right direction? we are here to help. you got this!
@amsandos lol. so how many cans do you need to drink to hit your goal? and brain exercise is important too. lol.

Day 4 in my string
Another good day! Even with eating out! I was happy how everything went like I said in my prior post but I have to learn how to stop on my own. It is a process and I am working on it at least. Today I have the trainer so I have to get moving! I hope everyone has a great day!!
@lynka1 sounds like another good day! You have me thinking I should have a schedule with exercise. I am starting to get in the habit of planning out my days thanks to @cyndiesstuff but I sort of just wing it with what I am going to do each day.
@bbcbw. Don’t let that small gain bring you down! Get right back at it!
@amsandos. You had me laughing with your oz to liter conversions. That sounds like me! I would have to convert back and forth too!
@cyndiesstuff-You are really an inspiration. I just love how when maintenance didn’t go as planned and you hopped right back in and making a plan for next time. Nice loss this week!
@mrsbell8well. Thank you! I was so pleased how dinner went. I also wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if I didn't know the menu so well. I would have been worried that I was going over when she wanted to order.2 -
T.E.A.M. Pledge
Today, every act matters. Every small step I take to reach my goal is a step towards a healthier body. My goal for today is to:
I will exercise for at least 45 min and reach my 10k steps.
These are the small steps I have taken to make the day successful:
I will go to the trainer today(don't always get steps here)
I will make sure I get at least 1,000K an hour today.
I will do a walking tape if I notice I drop off in steps too far3 -
@eminater Hooray!! I was sure we lost you!! Welcome back!!
2 -
I rolled a 6 yesterday - I would like to change my response to cold weather, just bundle up more and keep moving instead of wrapping up and staying on the couch I guess.
Rolled a 3 - preplan meals - this is not my usual thing but I will give it a try, (my husband likes to have input for dinner usually right when I start cooking)
4 -
In case the scale does what it usually does and blows me up on my Friday weigh in day, I want it known that TODAY it said nice things. We'll see if it taunts me tomorrow.6
-
I forgot to put my dice roll which was also a 6. I want to get into the habit of stretching in the morning.
@pacsnc6 I am the same way with the cold! The funny thing is, if we kept moving we would get warmer! Lol!
@eyesopennow My scale was good this am too and I was thinking the same thing! Good luck to both of us tomorrow!!1 -
Good morning! Super busy day at work...in 15 minute we get to start our day with a 2 hour meeting. I'm trying to get some steps in before the meeting. I hate sitting around
Wednesday check in
Yoga - 15 minutes (Day 5, Staying Alive from Adriene)
Water, Food & Steps all good
My body is finally starting to feel better...everything is loosening up finally. Just like having no dairy in my life (I feel 100% better), I need to do yoga every day because I feel so much better!
BTW...love the puppy pic sooooo cute!!
Have a great day and make it count!!

@cyndiesstuff said “ I am so glad you got that scale. i use mine all the time. i have gotten really good at eyeballing it! i play a game called guess how many ounces or grams. and then check to see how close i was. “
Well using the scale is a real eye opener! No wonder I’ve been having problems! Portions are much smaller than I was thinking (or hoping)! Even eating fresh pineapple chunks! Well one chunk was one serving according to MFP portions (I was using ounces rather than a 1/2 cup measurement). Hopefully I’ll get to the point where I can eyeball a serving and know what is a proper portion!!4 -
@sleepymom5 not a big deal, but Saturday is my weigh-in day, you listed me under Friday in your previous post. I don't think it matters.2

Hello & Happy Thursday (Friday Eve - almost TGIF!!!)
Hope you are all doing well! I am feeling good, but I went off-track this past Tuesday. I do not know what it is about Tuesdays, lol, but the same thing happened 2 weeks ago on Tuesday as well. I worked late, got home, was hungry & tired. I skipped my workout and started picking on junk. I stopped myself, ate a healthy dinner and started my Fast. As I expected, because my body responds quickly when I go off-track, I had a weight gain the next morning. I was back on track yesterday and today, but I am definitely missing my elliptical calorie burn. I have a feeling I am going to have a gain this week, but I will be happy to stay the same, but I doubt that is going to happen. I will be back to the gym next week, and I will definitely get back down. I notice if I do have a gain one week, I have a big loss the next. We will see.
I have not had a chance to read everyone's posts. I will try to catch up later and respond back. Have a wonderful day!4 -

We decorated our Christmas tree last night. Skylynn did most of it. It was a bit of a chore last night but I made dinner, washed dishes, laid out my work clothes, yoga clothes and walking clothes. I also spread out my yoga mat. When the alarm went off at 5:30 I kept sleeping. Woke at 6:30. Scrambled into action. What a gift that everything was ready for me. I jumped into my planet splashed yoga pants, did my yoga, left those clothes on and bundled up with my walking clothes. Really helped me to take the decision out of my morning. Molly asked if I could make her lunch at the last second. She is really making an effort to eat more along my lines. @cyndiesstuff thanks for asking. She just had another smallish episode of the diverticulitis. Now she is taking another look at her diet and rethinking things. I packed her a whole head of romaine (she loves the stuff), raw cashews, organic cherry tomatoes, lentil taco "meat", 2 mandarins, 2 organic gala apples, organic celery stalks, roasted delicata squash and steamed organic baby potatoes. Wanted to make sure she had choices.
@carlsoda on October 15th, this year I turned my diet completely around. I gave up many things that were on my new "no no" list. Dairy was one of them. I am still feeling the effects of the detox. For me...caffeine and the dairy had the harshest side effects regarding withdrawals.
Someone else asked me here about sugar. That is how long I have been off sugar too. I quit caffeine, sugar, oil, salt, alcohol, corn, gluten, soy, vinegar, animal products and I am sure there are other things. I always forget something when I rewrite the list.
But here is a newsflash...I am getting ready to change AGAIN!...As I have said I am following intuitive direction. I keep "stumbling" upon new ideas that just dazzle me. So my latest is the Moon juice movement. It is about cosmic alchemy for a thriving body, beauty and consciousness by Amanda Chantal Bacon. It, for the most part, continues to eliminate all the same "no no's with the exception of adding fermented vegetables and small amounts of apple cider vinegar. But it is truly a whole new way of living and eating. I am soooooo excited about this. Adaptogens play heavy part in this plan as well. I was on Amazon last night ordering the items that I was still missing. It just FEELS right for me at this time in my life. I also bought a dehydrator on line. I can't wait to start playing when I am done with the liver cleanse. Her cookbook is stunning...but admittedly not for everyone.
There is a moon juice for assisting with sleeping. I know there are a lot of members that struggle with that. I will test it out and post recipe and results.
One of the things that intrigues me is that she breaks down kitchen prep quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily. She even advocates making your own almond milk, then you dry the leftover meal and ground it into flour. This kind of thing just turns me on! Lol
Anyway I will keep you all posted as I get ready to launch off on this new moon adventure!4 -
T.E.A.M. Pledge
Today, every act matters. Every small step I take to reach my goal is a step towards a healthier body. My goal for today is to:
Again prepare myself for a successful tomorrow
These are the small steps I have taken to make the day successful:
1-for me that means put away the last of the fall décor tonight
2-Again laying out my clothes for yoga and work
3-plan date night with my sweetheart for tomorrow. Look up movie times. have dinner ready to eat when I get home tomorrow
4-Make my salad tonight for tomorrows lunch. Have my bags packed and by the door or even in the car. (it's parked in the garage)
I would not have done any of those things yesterday if it hadn't been for this pledge idea. Thanks team for all the support!

@nstephenson01 I LOVE new books!!! Have you tried thriftbooks.com? I get most of mine from that source...including the moon juice cookbook which happened to have been a library book! Just adds to the charm.3
