It’s been a few days since I’ve commented, but I’ve been trying to keep up with posts! Sorry to hear about those of you who are sick and dealing with stress. And congrats to those having an awesome week and accomplishing goals! This past weekend was really nice, great family time and got lots done around the house, shopping, etc. But just not putting in the time or effort into myself…I’ve been doing alright with calories and have been consistently getting my 10,000 steps in, but just not 100% into it right now. I'll figure out what to do again...and try to find the balance I need!
Have a great Tuesday and week everyone!

So apropos of nothing.... as part of the "adopt A Mother In Law" situation, we ended up with her Cat. MIL (who has dementia) was in the habit of feeding Cat every time she remembered it. Since she didn't remember remembering it previously, it was not unusual for her to feed the cat 10 to 15 times per day. Wet canned food. If you've ever had a cat -- and a cat pan -- I'll let that sink in for a minute.
So anyway, of course now that we're all one big happy *kitten* family, feeding Cat a mere twice a day has fallen to Wyfe and me. Okay, to ME, since I am the one who gets up first in the morning. So darling Cat has decided to assert himself to reestablish his on-demand feeding schedule. So for the last three days, he has decided to begin clearing dressers of all personal items beginning at 4 AM in an effort to wake us up. (Can't simply shut him out, or he won't be able to access the cat pan.) Pictures, makeup, wallet, the random receipt or wedding ring or spare change, all of it ends up banging into the floor. I wake up every 5 minutes to the thump / bang / rattle. Wyfe sleeps right through it, so she is not sympathetic.
So my question is, how long can I sleep in my car before I freeze to death?7 -
@eyesopennow I hate that you're going through so much stress but I love your humor in the face of it.
I have a dog and really dislike cats, but would it help to clear off your dresser so it wouldn't have anything to knock over?

Ughhhh... Bad day yesterday. Was able to stay at work but I had serious stomach issues. Feeling some better this morning, I think. At least right now. We had freezing rain last night not sure if i am going to work. I will check the roads first, then decide. I let the emotions about this failed food plan get the best of me. But woke up this morning with a new sense of drive. Will i always struggle with food? I hope not. I long for the days that I didn't think about food and just lived my life.
@Mrsbell8well that bowl of soup looks delicious. mmmm....
@NuggetBrain wowowowow! go you! nice job on the weight loss this week. keep up the hard work. it is paying off.
@Shirin_K it is so hard trying to balance life and what you need. keep it up, don't you give up on you. you are the only you you will ever have.
@eyesopennow I know you make fun but i also know that you are having a very difficult time. There is really no way to train a cat. it will be obnoxious no matter what. do you have a room you can shut it in with it's box? I use to shut my cat in the front bathroom every night with it's litter box. Maybe it is time to rehome the cat? Hang in there, I wish there was something i could say or do but you and i both know there isn't. I will pray for you my friend.
@lenka1 I cant wait for spring.
@twyla77 yayay, look at you go. good job another day of good days added to your string.
@czvanut yayayy you made it to the 150's. good job. and you are right the closer you get to goal the harder it becomes.
@Mrsbell8well yayayay thats another loss for you this week. you are doing awesome.5 -
I’m feeling giddy. I have an unexpected day off today. I was going to continue cleaning but wifey suggested a free bonus day to do what I wanted. I really want to play with my new planner and finish my pink wool hat. So many possibilities.
I get to color another star today. 41.4 pounds down...18.6 to go.
And 1.6 pounds away from the 150’s. That’s my target for next week.9 -
Here is something I wrote to a friend this morning. Thought I would share it...
I would like to think that I can eat whatever I want when ever I want but that's not true. My mind wants food even when my body doesn't. I Think that's been a big part of my success. I listen to my body more than my mind.6 -

LOL! As a cat owner, our little lady sleeps in the laundry room with her bed, food, water and pan. She's locked in every night and comes out in the morning. No sleep issues for us. She actually likes it too...when I say "are you ready for bed" she starts heading in!5 -
Good morning everyone!
@cyndiesstuff - hope you are feeling better today!! So much stuff going around it's amazing we're not more sick!!
I am on the road to recovery. Tonight I really want to do yoga rather than just some forward folds and downward dogs - it really helps with my bad to be consistent with yoga.
Food wise, yesterday was pretty good but when it came to supper I made our chicken and lemongrass basil curry and I was going to have cauliflower rice with it but hubs made himself jasmine rice and I couldn't resist (I'm sick right, so I can have some hehe). Calories were good, carbs were high. But that's ok today is a new day!
Hope you all have a great day!!4 -
I know I've been silent but I've been reading. Can you believe I used to want to be a writer? I don't know what happened to me. The Sadness used to make me want to write in my younger years but now it makes me quiet...
MONDAY
I did the thing. I went to the gym. First time since October? Possibly September? I'm still putting in my 55ish hours a week between the two jobs, commute, and prepping for classes at the studio but I decided I can't just roll over and die with it.
We FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY hired someone that isn't a complete moron to replace my longtime coworker that left in mid-October. She started the 11th and we're all very pleased with her. I *THINK* she's a keeper and I'm *HOPING* to get back to 32 hours at my full time job in February... I might just whine and stomp my feet until I get the ok. I'm not above it!
I didn't log anything Monday or Tuesday but I think I was probably under. I had my normal lunch (350-500 calories) but I made some mush over the weekend (it was supposed to be lentil and sweet potato soup but I didn't read the directions thoroughly before throwing everything in the crock pot.... oops!) it's still good... but more like the texture of mashed sweet potatoes. Anyway, I've been eating that and veggies for dinner so I think I'm fine. I've been creeping in on 10,000 steps the past two days... hoping to keep it up today.
My weight hasn't really been budging. Hoping because TOM this weekend. If not then we're going to have an even bigger problem on our hands...
Saturday I'm going to an all-day yoga retreat. I'm hoping it will help me reset my intentions... not just for 2019 but going forward. Sunday I'm auditioning for the next showcase (dance project)... I'm on the fence about it because I'm known to put too much on my plate (HAH!) but I'm hoping the timing works to cut back hours at work in my favor again.
