    Hi, My name is Renee. I learned about Leslie over holiday break. I decided to do her challenge and loved it! I have never done anything like that before. I am hooked on her dvd's and purchased 4 of them. I just went back and looked at how January went for me and I saw an increase in my activity. I bought a fitbit too to help me track my minutes in cardio and sleep. I am going to track my minutes exercising this month. I set goal of 60 minutes of exercise and will do this 6 times a week. So far I kept my promise to myself. I do half before work and half after work. I had a walking partner but she has backed out of the commitment. I can do this! I have lost 13 pounds since December but really I am happy that my resting heart rate has dropped 5 beats on average. I am to have found this group! We can all reach our goals.

    Hi Renee. Fantastic loss, as well as having your resting heart rate drop; it's all good! It's obvious you are truly committed to this. You CAN do it. You are doing it. Glad you joined us.

    18.53 miles tracked last week.
    Apple heart challenge start last week. 7 days straight to complete mu exercise ring. I’m doing it so far so good.

    I like the DVD that is 20 min, 30 min and 40 min. It doesn't have miles to it but minutes. Today I did the Tone Every Zone walk with the upper body. That was a 30 minute event after work. I liked it and I found that surprising. Before work I did a 2 mile off the DVD Ultimate 5 day walk plan. That zoomed by. That logged in at 30 min. So I made my 60 minute goal today. I decided not to weigh myself but once a week. I did try on some clothes this weekend and notice a difference in the fitting room.


    I think I might try different 3 mile walks off the DVD's to see how I like them. I just got the Miracle Mile set. The band kinda of scares me.

    2/4 5 Miracle miles Want to do 5 miles a day this week.... any suggestions for which ones to do will be a help.
    2/5 Workout # 28 for 2019 total 83.9 miles. TOTAL TODAY 5 MILES
    Today's workout. 3 miles walk to the HIITs (High Intensity Interval Training) & 2 Belly Busting Miles for 19.2 miles for 2019
    2/6 2019 Workout #29 Another 5 MIles. 4 Punch it up Miles and 1 Family Fun Mile with Leslie Sansone Walk at Home.... I love her walks talk about sweating it out!!!
    2/7 Nadia's Classic 1 Mile Walk and Walk 15 4 miles for another 5 miles makes 29.3 for Feb 94 for 2019
    2/8 Walk to Party HIIT's 3 miles and 2 Miles Walk Away the Pounds Express.
    2/9 made a headboard for my bed
    2/10 Cleaned out bookshelves to put in new bookcase
    2/11 3 Miles Walk off the Pounds and 2 Miles and Slim Arms.... Another 5 miles. for 39.3 miles for Feb and 104 miles for 2019

    So I woke up and did the 30 minute walk off fat fast. I try to do something before I go to work. Then I found out school was closed so I did the 3 mile miracle mile. Wow the Miracle Miles were fast and intense. Off to get the snow off the drive with a snow blower. We have 6 more inches coming.

    @AnnofB thanks for the encouragement. I know I said I wanted to do 60 miles this month but somewhere along the line I bumped it up to 100. Going for 1000 miles in 2019

    Hi Ladies. I did not join the challenge this month. Between an injury and the weather I have not been doing much walking. WIth that said, I did get a Gazelle this week and I have been doing anywhere from 30 min to an hour on it daily. My question is would this count for the group as walking? I do not want to cheat and add miles that are not considered appropriate for this group. Not hurt feelings if this is not allowed. I have the Tony Little Freestyle Gazelle.

    I'm sorry you've been down with an injury. :( And yeah, the weather has been tough on you golfers!

    I would say it does count for miles/steps and I don't think anyone will mind at all.... I sure don't. I think it's great you've found an alternative activity you can do indoors that doesn't exacerbate any prior injuries. Go Girl! Do what you can and as long as it motivates you. I can't imagine anyone minding it, but if they do... start your own challenge thread. :)

    Tonight I have my Walk Leader meeting for the counties program. Excited and nervous. Can't wait to hear all about the plans.

    I did Walk it off in 30 days at 5 am and found it sweaty. Then went out and did the snow on the drive. The sun did come out after work and I almost went for a walk outside but the ice is so bad I turned back to Leslie and walked, walked, walked 3 miles to Walking off the Pounds. Wow that was a brisk 3 miles and my fitbit showed it today.

    I reached my 60 minutes. Thanks ladies for giving me a place to share.

    I did my one mile walk from Walking Off the Pounds before work and a 3 mile walk from the Ultimate 5 day Walk Plan after work. That got me to my 60 minutes with bonus sweat!

    30 Minutes with Jessica again this AM. Apple Watch challenges Completed for the month included the special heart challenge.

    Walk Leadership meeting: Last nights meeting was interesting. There are 10 people that are being leaders. They broke up the county into 4 sections with the goal to have walk leaders in each section. We as leaders get to chose the day, time and location of the walks. So for example, I would always lead a walk at location X on Wednesday AM. The goal is to not only get people to walk but build up community relationships. The group walks are scheduled to start in June after the Counties "Step it UP' campaign ends. So we will have the spring to build and talk the walks up.
    We brought up a few questions that still have to be resolved and sorted out. Things like weather cause....well Michigan. ;) I'm kind of excited and a little bit nervous too. Hope there will be a group of people that would be willing to walk in my area.

    Sounds like this was a well organized event. If the word gets out, ie... good advertising, walkers will come.

    30 min Walk it off Firm was my morning routine.
    3 miles Walk to the Hits 45 min. I was surprised at this one. It was my first time trying it out. I thought it was on the light side until I looked at my heart rate on the fit bit after. Wow 35 min of cardio and 8 min of fat burning plus 1min in peak.
