@clepant - gorgeous picture. I love bald eagles, they're stunning creatures. I got to see some in Yellowstone. A few years back there was a live cam of a nest, I forget where, and I spent hours watching the parents feed the baby that hatched, one egg did not, and the eventual flight off the nest.
2.2 treadmill miles, it's cold and rainy today. I'm about to go for a hair appt, then some quality studying time at the library. My health coach exam is in 13 days. A good day to be indoors and be productive. Maybe I'll clean something. Maybe not.
@Kar: I only had my short lens and wished I had a bigger one. A guy next me and I saw a hawk going after him and he turned around and they both put on breaks mid air. The eagle as literal on his back at one point with his wings up and giving the hawk the bird. The guy next to me got them in flight. Mine was just to fuzzy because of the distance. I am so excited to have them only 10 minutes from my house. I use to run to the park and home but now I can cycle there or drive.

Feb 17: My knee has filled up with fluid today as well as the inside cyst. My husband and I had to spend 3 hours up on my dad’s old garage roof repairing the work we did in June. Apparently the 55 mph winds decided to pull up one side of the granulated roofing paper we put down. We had to tar it, put 1x2 boards on the front and back edge and screw some metal edging along the side for water to roll off. While screwing them down, my meniscus hung up and I am taking on fluid. Looks like I will be heading to get it drained for the third time. I almost upped my mileage to 300. That would have been a fine pickle.
Adding 3 miles of walking today that I did early and slow.
TTD: 269.25 miles

Goodness Char!! Give the poor thing a BREAK!!! I think of what all you do & it amazes me that it even supports you anymore!!! I do agree that watching eagles are fun! We have them around our area quite often.
I didn't do anything the past 3 days! Well I did something but it was not counting miles.
We drove to the city on Thursday so I could get my iron infusion. My town was charging $925 each infusion & they said it would take (((5))) infusions. My GP ordered my iron from Osco & they told her $109 but when I picked it up they charged me $978 & then she charged me $100 for the infusion set-up. She was soooo angry with Osco that she said when I need another one she will order it & have it there for me instead of me going in. It was also a one time infusion which took about one & a half hours so in the long run I save time AND money!
Friday my husband had his knees checked over & the specialist said they were shot & when he's done suffering with the pain to call back & they will schedule him for replacement. He's going to wait on surgery & go have another PRP done. He was pretty pain free for over two months with it the first time.
Also we ran to district basketball tournaments (with our girls taking 1st & our boys placing 2nd). Doing ALL this in SNOWY weather. Driving was not fun Friday afternoon nor was it good Saturday evening! Got at least 6 inches along with wind & cold temps!!! Soooo sick of winter!!
Rode 11 on ex bike after my son & family left today!!

@CLEPANT - Thanks for all of the info and the video was interesting! I am already taking the tart cherry supplements based on your previous recommendation. I recently started taking the glucosamine-chondroiton supplements as well. By running after surgery, I wasn't talking about meniscus surgery. I meant after the joint resurfacing and synthetic meniscus. But that may not be advised either. It wasn't something the doctor told me might be possible...it was just my wishful thinking. So far I'm doing fairly well with the bracing and cortizone injection and the supplements. I try not to sit for too long at a time either. I keep waiting for a little warmer weather to melt the snow & ice off of my walking path here at work so I can get out over lunch again without risk of falling and breaking something.

Adding 5.4 miles. Lots of laps in Boot Camp, including running the stairs (and not breaking an ankle). Then I had to go to an all day class instead of work, I actually liked it - I do telephone triage - and a huge part of it was on self-care. Much needed. We got out early, so with the weather being good, I came home and walked a few miles outside. Didn't get to yesterday with the cold rain, so now I'm caught up. And happy.

Feb. 18: Adding 2.75 of so slow cycling without using my right leg.
TTD: 272 miles
This is probably it for me for February unless some miracle occurs. My meniscus hung up tonight and I cannot get it to unlock and cannot straighten my knee. I tried to get it drained today and the girl decided that I could not get it drained but needed to see th doctor which is 1:15 tomorrow. My hubby wants to take me to the ER. I don’t think I could even walk there right now.3 -
