    Thank you for allowing me to join this team. My aunt @micki48 is on here and I wanted to be on the same team! I have just started back on my journey to eat healthier and move more. I am a stay at home mom to three kids, 2 doodles, 2 cats and my 7 chickens! My husband is retired Coast Guard and is now working delivering office supplies. We love it since he is home more!

    He is a great support so I am extremely thankful for that.

    I can’t wait to get to know everyone and have so much support and be held accountable!

    ☺️

    This is great! @micki48 has been doing really well, and I'm sure you will too. I'll bet those doodles keep the step count up with you, and the whole rest of the menagerie (including kids!) must keep you hopping. In any case, we are glad to have you, and hope you'll get the help and support to become healthy and strong. Never hesitate to post any questions, share your rants and struggles, and brag about success. Welcome!

    I’m so glad @AmyRobF is doing this. This group is great and I’m glad you are here.

    Thanks for giving her a warm welcome. @jugar

    Let’s do this Amy!! Want to join our step challenge? It’s just our team recording steps here. It has been so motivating for me.

    Speaking of steps...

    For March, the Step Challenge will only be within this team. More than enough of you find it motivating on an ongoing basis.

    I am posting a list of 1 - 10 ... please put your name beside a number if you want to participate. I am not auto-rolling names over, in case you want to pause for a month and concentrate on something else. @jugar is out of town, and I won't be adding my name this time.

    So if you were on last month's step challenge and want to keep at it, PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME The first thee people have already specifically asked about it.
    1. @Blackbeautysue
    2. @sue_01
    3. @micki48
    4. @Astrue
    5. @leni1us

    If all 10 slots are taken, you can STILL add your name below. There is no cap on the time size anymore.

    I had heard of Leslie Sansone's Walking Workouts, and maybe even seen a dvd or two in a store from time to time.

    On the weekend, I bought what I THOUGHT was a second-hand digital pedometer at the thrift store (with her branding on it) But on closer inspection, I discovered that this seems to be more like the vehicle for her Digital Downloadable products.

    With warmer weather possibly showing up by the end of NEXT month .... something that gets me burning my calories OUTSIDE for a change would expand my (anticipated) maintenance activity options. And I would respond better to audio-guided walking and music at a suitably brisk pace better in terms of frequency and actually getting out and DOING it than "just ... briskly(?) ... walking" much the same routes around my house over and over.

    I am not very into personal device type digital-anything content or apps (don't even own a "dumbphone" personal cell) and I have no current experience with any of Leslie Sansone's programs.

    This appears to have come pre-loaded with:
    • energy boosting walk.amv
    • five-hundred step walk.amv
    • health booster walk.amv

    Is anyone is familiar with her style and material? I saw on her website that there is a raft of other digital downloads available for sale as well.

    Too many people lose heart because their ultimate goal seems too far away and thus is unattainable. But, we actually live in day-tight compartments. Do what needs to be done today for today...tomorrow, you can do it again.

    I'm curious for those who have lost weight what did you do with your old bigger clothes. Did you let them go or hold on to them in case the weight crept back on?

    Both! I have gone from a size 14 to a 4. I have given everything except size 6 clothes to Salvation Army. I have, however, packed the size 6 clothes away so I am not tempted to just put something a bit larger on should my current clothes get snug. I am really committed to never wearing them again but I just can't quite get myself to get rid of them. If I should get to the size 6 clothes, it will really be the wake up call that it is time to get back into an active weight loss program again,

    I have kept one shirt from when I was at my largest just to remind myself once in awhile where I have come from, pat myself on the back/ be smug/ look in the mirror and gasp!
    The rest, to charity and to my girls to cut up and make A LOT of dolls clothes/costumes with.

    I sometimes wish I had kept JUST ONE shirt from my largest, as I also don't have a photo from then .... but I am already feeling smug / looking in the mirror and gasping when comparing with clothes from last June ... I will be keeping one of those ....

    For those of you who are new to our group or who have not had a chance to check in, we are doing a little mini challenge called "Green March Challenge" as we have Saint Patricks day coming this month. Some of us are going a step further and donating a certain amount per pound lost this month to a charity of our choice.

    I've made a column in our spreadsheet for our GREEN MARCH CHALLENGE if anyone wants to participate let me or our team captains know so we can add your pledge in. The goal is to pledge a certain amount of LBS to lose for the month and to try our best to keep our numbers in the green all month long. Lets get the least amount of red in our spreadsheet this month.

    So far I have...

    @Astrue - 5
    @Perla4686 - 4
    @BMcC9 - 3
    @Connie7355 - 5
    @Kittu125 - 4
    @mari_moulin - 4
    @matthewsfive - 7
    @micki48 - 4
    @treebek - 4

    I got rid of them, except for a couple of warm coats I couldn't part with, and I altered a few things that I loved too much to get rid of. That did not work all the way to goal weight, but at least I got a bit more use out of them. For some, I gave them to relatives and friends, but mostly I just got them out of the house as fast as possible and vowed NEVER to go back. After spending for a new smaller wardrobe I was too broke to have to go out and buy bigger things again! I wish I had kept one big pair of pants or something, just to be able to pull them on over everything I have on with room to spare. I still get a kick out of the clothes I stole from my daughter that still fit!

    Unsure - @mari_moulin ? Are you tracking steps? Am I missing anyone? Is anyone on there who doesn't want to be?

    The February team tracked 2,701,120 steps! We can beat that! The weather is getting better. I think.

    Please go check on the spreadsheet and tell me if everything looks ok. I may have missed some steps postings. The are only from SUNDAY 3 March. Please post your numbers here so you can keep up and enjoy outdoing one another. The link to the spreadsheet is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Uj1qTpBTlPo5T5Weqy47sOjWzXA4OPME_Fyytorsa_o/edit#gid=0 Go to all the tabs at the bottom of the screen, click on Waistaways, then scroll down until you get to the stepping team. It doesn't hurt to scroll back up and check that your weigh-ins are right, and to bask in the green glow of your success when you have a good week. Enjoy!
