finding out they're *NOW too big......
sigh... give me a dang edit button! lol0 -
LadyBlanks wrote: »I don't know what to really say about me and pants. I run a spectrum of sizes. I have some size 10's that fit a little loose and I have some size 16's that I can't yet fasten. It all boils down to how they are made. I guess I will always have to try on clothes and can't just pick up a size and know they will fit.
Yeah... I wish they would just use the sizes men get. I hate this vanity crap sizing for women b/c the sizes are SO different everywhere you go. I got a pair of capris while at Sam's. Size 12 and they fall off of me b/c they're WAY too big. Also got a size 12 pants there too, but they're too tight (I can suck in and get in to them though).
I have some size 14 capris that fit me perfect also some size 16's that fit the same.. also have some size 16's that fall off.
It's just annoying. It's like they think if they tell women their actual waist size in bottoms, we'll freak the hell out or something.
I do run the risk of something being too big or small but I wasn't going to run in to the fitting room w/ 3 kids lol. I held them up and they looked about right which is why I bought them If it was somewhere like Kohls where you can just go in to their fitting rooms without having to talk to anyone, then I would've tried them on first... if DH was there to watch the kids
volgirl- Isn't that just the best feeling? Finding something that was too small for you, putting it on and finding out they're not too big? Such an amazing feeling
I cant wait until I'm at my smallest size. HOPEFULLY in size small stuff b/c those sizes never seem to be out of stock anywhere (as sad as that is to think about). I can't wait to go spend money I don't have on cute clothes that I always wish I could wear
Lemme clothes rant a little more...
I love capris but DAMN it's difficult finding some when you're short! All the ones that you find just end up being like 2 inches above your ankles. And shorts.... the shorts I bought are ok, but why must they all be SO damn short? Where the hell are all the bermuda shorts?? I have loose flabby skin on my thighs that I do NOT want to show off. The shorts I bought barely cover where the loose skin can be seen. Like dang.. not all of us want to show off our thighs. Give us more options than capris, super short shorts, OR granny shorts.
OMG I totally agree with you on all of the above.....I am also short and it is harder to find capris that fit --I usually try the petite department if stores have one but some of course don't. The petite only because of my height not size …..
AND yes on the shorts....not all women want "booty shorts" as I call them.....I am not a teenager but I still want to wear shorts.....I just don't want to show my entire booty off to everyone ……..I tend to like some of the more casual ones that are more like yoga pants with that material --especially for being at the ball field, or just out and about running errands...…..

LMMAO to all of that and niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee on the NSV!!! Sounds like a lot of us are getting clothing-based ones and that's one of the best IMO because it's proof you're shrinkingggggggggggg1

Today’s Date: 4/17/2019 (Wed)
Today's Plan: 20hr fasted
Weight Goal for the Month: 162lb
Today’s Weight: 168.2
Today’s Exercise completed: nada
Hours slept: /shrugs
Description/Photo of Meals: 2 strips of pork belly, 2.5 scrambled eggs, lots of bacon, cup of bone broth w/ bouillon, sf jello, hard boiled eggs
Total calories: 1500-1600
Your thoughts/comments on the day: Headache yesterday would not leave. Waited until I was about 20hrs fasted and broke it so I could take some ibuprofen too.... which did absolutely nothing.
AND I pulled something in my lower back when I picked up my 4yo at the store too.
Getting older is just.. so much fun.
Sleep was horrible once again and bacon hates me. I love bacon but it gives me the worst indigestion. Woke up at 3am with it. Ended up taking 2 antacids which did nothing and got desperate so chewed down 2 tums as well that finally did the trick at 4am.
So yeah, I guess technically the tums broke my fast but pfft, oh well. Don't care!
Today has to be better right? lol0 -
Oh goodness you are having it rough right now....Hoping you start to feel better soon!!!!! Yep getting older is way over rated …...1
-
Firstly, congrats on a smaller size! I love buying clothes of smaller size as its one sure way to tell myself that I have loss weight We have Target here too and we love to go there as we can really get clothes as cheap as $4 for a T-shirt and shorts! However, shorts with a cutting of showing our bum-bum is a huge NO-NO for me. Sending over quick healing vibes! Really hope that you will feel better soon!1
-
Thanks yall.
Yeah... I love buying clothes for my daughter but I HATE that almost all girl shorts are booty shorts. Thankfully I think that is getting a little better now since parents complaining about it went viral a couple years ago. Still tough finding nice looking women's shorts though.
Did go to Walmart this morning. Needed to get more kid's tylenol and other things and found a nice pair of knee length shorts. Stretchy and could've actually gotten a size 10 in them bc they're a bit on the larger side, but they're nice and comfy and soft and cover what I want covered.
Also bought 6 more packs of chicken feet. Ready for my week of bone broth in a couple weeks!
My 4yo saw me grabbing them and said, "UGH! More bone broth?? That's too much!" rofl1 -
LMFAO - still jealous - I don't think that's going to stop anytime soon - I have been using leftover BB the past few weeks and while I don't think it affected my weight loss I do think it's affecting my mental clarity and maybe even energy levels a tiny bit...I'll go back to a full batch this weekend - I'll make extra and freeze it too1
-
misty- One of these days a store near you is gonna get some chicken feet and you'll be in BB making heaven lol Have you tried calling around to stores that are maybe even 30 or so minutes away? If you're willing to drive, could be something to look in to as well.
Also made chia seed pudding for the first time. Guess in a few hours I'll get to see if it came out ok lol. I am mostly carnivore, but if this stuff ends up being good, it could be a nice treat. Used unsweetened vanilla almond milk, cocoa powder, powdered swerve for one and the other I put in a little cinnamon and nutmeg along with powdered swerve. FX that they come out ok. If not..... well.. try try again.0 -
Yeahhhhhhhhh I could probably find it at specialty stores but I already drive 10 hours a week JUST for my work commute, so quite frankly, if it involves any sort of a drive on the weekend it better be F**KING REQUIRED LOL
I'm glad I found the turkey necks which are pretty good, I just love the collagen and stuff in the feeties LOL1 -
I love my bone broth too Your 4 year old is so cute I know what you mean as I do not allow my daughter to wear these horrible shorts outdoors..ain't going to happen. Hope you are getting some sleep at night1
-
misty- Lol I hear you. Heck, I don't have to drive that much and still don't want to drive that far for anything :P
jade- I dread it when she's older and those shorts are what all the girls wear. Uuuuuuugh.
Not even worrying about OMAD today. My little is sicker. Had a fever yesterday and is warm today too. Not quite a fever but still sick. My poor baby.
Sleep was a little better, but still had to wake early b/c of him.
I'm sure the other 2 are going to end up with it soon too. This is going to suuuuuck.
I'm FINALLY over my chest cold and I would be shocked if I didn't catch this as well.
Next week I'm going to have to buckle down and really get back in to OMAD. I've been slacking a lot this week with it for various reasons and don't want to slip back in to old habits.
In other news..... trying to make chia seed pudding for the first time. The base is chia seeds, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and sweetener (monk fruit and powdered swerve). I made chocolate, cinnamon nutmeg, & coffee flavored ones.
Didn't put in enough seeds though so they didn't thicken up quite enough. The chocolate and cinnamon ones taste pretty good though. Haven't tried the coffee one yet.
Hubs seemed to like the chocolate one.
Might be my new obsession if they turn out ok. Just have to figure out that seed to liquid ratio to get the perfect consistency.

Sickness seems to going around everywhere ughhh, I hope you're all better soon2
-
Yeah those bugs are running rampant here - the bone broth and fasting have kept them away from me this year (knock on wood! This time last year was a disaster for me...these folks know LOL)! Stay healthy and I hope your littles get better fastttt1
-
Thanks guys.
Thankfully he's feeling better today. At least there hasn't been a giant splattering of throw up to clean up yet.
Just waiting for the other 2 to come down with it though.
Thankfully daughter has only missed one day of school this year so not a big deal if she has to stay home. Will suck, but at least I wouldn't have to worry about that.
And Friday plans might be cancelled. At least for the movie. Damnit!
MiL may not be able to watch the boys for us. Sigh...... this is why we don't go to the movies as often as I would like... well that and it's just expensive as *kitten* lol.
Crap happens, but damn does it suck. Oh.. we're still gonna cheat.... there just won't be a movie involved too.
Going to have to avoid every single comment section on social media until we do see the movie though. Dang spoilers gotta ruin things for everyone!
Thankfully Fandango has a pretty good refund policy, so we're waiting to see what happens.
Hurtin the team MiL! Hurtin the team!
And coffee chia pudding was a big fail! I put WAY too much coffee in it and it's so strong and gross. BLEH! lol
The cinnamon one is missing something too. Like it could use some nuts or something to go with it. Almonds maybe? Granola would be good but well... keto so can't have that. Booo lol
And in other sucky non diet news.... the part we were waiting on for our broken washer was never frickin called in!!! The F-ing HELL?? We've been waiting patiently all damn week for the repairman to get back to us. Finally got impatient so Hubs called to see what was up and they never called in the frickin order for the part!!
We haven't been able to wash clothes for 2 weeks now. You know how many clothes kids go through?? ALL OF THEM. Thank goodness it is Spring Break so they could stay at least a little funkier than usual but of course my daughter is little miss fashion show and her 4yo brother copies her so he's been changing clothes every dang minute too. SIGH.
Can I turn in my adult card for about a week please??
0 -
I won't tell you anything about the movie I promise!!!
Not being able to do laundry sucks!!! You do deserve to turn in your adult card!!!
I hope your days start getting better2 -
Glad to hear that your kiddo is much better now! Are all you kids in school? My kids are on their school holidays, going back to school next Tuesday. So sorry to hear about your washer. Know the feeling of not able to do the laundry with 4 or more people in the house...happened here once till hubby was so fed-up that he just bought another washer and told our repair guy to forget about it. Hope that you guys get everything sorted out soon! Have a Happy Easter!2
-
jade- Just one is in school now. Hoping to get my 4yo signed up for pre-k for the next school year. My poor 2yo won't know what to do all by himself during the day.
Brenda- Lol thanks! We're still waiting to see what happens with the movie but it's doubtful that we're going to be able to go. SIGH
2yo is better, but 4yo started getting sick yesterday. Everything started off fine and then around 2pm "Mommy I don't feel good. I need medicine." I didn't take him seriously at first b/c my kids think their little liquid flavored tylenol/ibuprofen stuff is candy. But I could see him slowing down so gave him something. Then he zonked out on my bed and woke up with a fever. THEN came out on to the couch and proceeded to throw up all over it... right where the 2yo had thrown up all over it the day before. Thank goodness we went with leather furniture b/c we'd be in deep doodoo if we had gone with a regular fabric.
I also woke up nauseated last night (after the countless times my 4yo was up). Would've thrown up too but I guess nothing was in my stomach. Took 2 tums which seemed to help and now I'm just feeling blah today. Still a dull nauseous feeling. Hopefully I don't end up with the fever they got.
Just waiting for my 6yo to come down with it now and hoping that this passes quickly like it did for the little one.
Bone broth today though. Today and tomorrow. Not OMAD. Just drinking it when I feel like it.
Weight today was 167.8 though. The hell?? THat's minus 2lbs. I'm not complaining but... why? I ate about 2500+ calories yesterday. A LOT of food. I was totally expecting to see my weight back up in the 170's but nope!
Again, not complaining at all, but it would be nice to know WHY lol.
Alrighty... I'll get back to cleaner format tonight instead of my long ramblings.0 -
Wow you're going through some tough mommy days . I hope next week everyone gets to feeling back to normal again to take some of the work load off of you.
I never push supplements but...my doc recommended vitamin D3 years ago because I kept getting sick whenever I mercy sat ( babysit for free for exhausted couples). OMG...what a difference....hardly ever get sick anymore...it's like a miracle for me. It's the one supplement I take everyday and always will. I've tried taking a lot of different vitamins but lose interest after the bottle is gone. Also with your sleep....if you can't find a logical reason for your bad sleep....I suggest a sleep study. It will tell you if there is something physical going on and that alone can give you peace of mind.
Congrats on the smaller clothes! Wowsie that's really great.1 -
Kat- I was taking vitamin d every day but stopped a couple months ago for some reason. I've started taking it again though.
I dunno if I could ever do a sleep study. I'm one of those people that can't fall asleep in unfamiliar places and I over think everything so I'd be laying there all night thinking about what was happening lol.
Woops ok better format tomorrow lol.
Today was coffee this morning and bone broth with bouillon the rest of the day. Total calories about 400-500. Every time I drink my bone broth my stomach just starts feeling awful. I dunno if actually eating would have helped but I'm gonna say no.
Don't have enough bone broth to do tomorrow too and chicken feet are currently frozen. Woops. Will start up another batch tomorrow.
4yo seems to be better after literally sleeping half the day away. Thank goodness.
Whatever this is seems to go quickly so I'm sure I'll be sick all week with it lol.
Seriously though, I'm glad they feel better. Still waiting for it to hit my daughter though.0 -
Nice loss, we never know when the big drops will come I also take vitamin D3 and I rarely get sick anymore, I also believe that fasting helps with that too0
-
Who doesn't love a good unexpected whoosh! Nice! Your poor household is really getting the short end of the stick... I hope everything settles down for ya (including your tummy!) lol1
-
Whooshed right back on today b/c back up to 169 as of this morning. Lol
I think it's all the salt I drink down during my broth days. Dont know what else it would be. Lots of salt from the bouillon and not enough water.
Drinking enough water has always been a problem. Just most days... I'm just not that thirsty and I don't force it. Guess I'll need to next time b/c I'm not giving up my bouillon!
Not going to be a bone broth day today. Don't have enough for it and couldn't start another batch until this morning. Oh well. That's ok.
We're supposed to be going over to MiL's today for Easter. Not sure if they're cooking anything special for it. Please let my willpower hold strong b/c her house is junk food haven and junk food has been calling to me for a while now.
Didn't help putting all of the kids' easter eggs together. Thankfully I don't like jelly beans and a few of the other candies I bought for them, but the chocolate..... I wants it!
Also feeling better today. Coughing again, but at least I don't feel nauseated. Daughter hasn't come down with it either, but... there's still time
I haven't had a proper poop in like... 4 days either lol. Chia seed pudding is delicious, but my body is just not used to that much fiber I think lol. I got SUPER bloated and uncomfortable feeling last night really low down. Still feeling that if I press on my stomach, but overall I feel ok.
Sigh... this last week went by too darn quick. Had hoped I'd be able to sleep in like I wanted, but nope.... I think I got to sleep in all of 30 extra minutes one day0 -
WOW you have had a rough week....Hoping this week is better for you and your family sending hugs1

Today’s Date: 4/21/2019 (Sunday)
Today's Plan: IF
Weight Goal for the Month: 162lb
Today’s Weight: N/A
Description/Photo of Meals: leftover pork baby back ribs, 2 boneless skinless marinated chicken thighs, 3 slices of ham, little less than half a cup of green beans, 2 starbursts, 2 jelly beans, mini butterfinger
Total calories:1000-1100
Your thoughts/comments on the day: Didn't plan on cheating at all, but sitting in a house with freshly baking bread, homemade ice cream and peach cobbler..... I needed something lol. I raided one of my kids ester baskets and picked out a few items and kept it at just that.
Gosh that other stuff was so tempting though. Fresh baked bread? UUUUUUUGH GIMME!! lol
But I held it together.
Even with those few items that I did eat, it came up to like almost 20 carbs! Which shouldn't be surprising since it is candy, but still.. damn!
And UP 2 lbs this morning too, but more on that in a minute.
I don't know if it was the sugar or not drinking enough, but I ended up with a horrible migraine last night and all throughout the night even after taking tylenol and ibuprofen.
Didn't help that my 2yo woke in the night and wouldnt stop crying so I made the bad decision to bring him to bed with us. Suddenly he forgot how to sleep and tossed and turned for about an hour before finally settling.... and then waking up and tossing and turning all throughout the rest of the night.
I'm sorry little buddy, but your cute little butt is just going to have to cry in your room b/c that crap isn't happening again!
TMI incoming...
I still have some of the headache this morning. AND like I said I was up 2lbs, but it's slowly coming back off with lots and lots of painful gut cramps.
As I mentioned before, I haven't had a proper BM in a while now and it kicked me right in my gut this morning. Doubled over in pain bad. So bad that I knew I needed to go but didn't want to strain b/c it hurt too much putting any kind of pressure in my lower abdomen.
I did manage something though but I'm still cramping up. Not as bad thankfully, but still... OW!!.
I have a feeling this is why my weight is kind of all over the place too. Maybe....
Anywho.... maintenance this week b/c screw it. Why not! Also maybe OMAD some days, maybe IF or maybe just a normal day of eating. We'll see how I feel day to day.
Oh BUT in good news.... Friday movie may still be on. MiL thought we wanted her to come over here to watch the boys and that coouldn't happen bc they have somewhere they need to be, but when we explained that we were going to drop them off, she said that was fine b/c they could just take the boys with them. So... as of right now... movie is still a go! WOO!
Now to go drink some coffee with some powerlax mixed in and hope it helps to get the rest of this literal crap out of me! HA! lol

One super fantastic NSV right there with fitting into a smaller jean size! Your positive attitude will surely have you being beach ready by August!1
-
Hope you are doing better today! And yay on the NSV !!!!1
-
Feeling better today thankfully. I'm actually sore from the cramps yesterday. I've never had that happen before and hope it doesn't happen again.
Drinking a strong cup of coffee with more POWDERlax in it b/c I'm a glutton for punishment and had more chia seed pudding last night lol
Making sure things move along this time!
Still feeling more tired than normal. Sleep wasn't that great, but it wasn't horrible either. Guess I just need a few more decent sleep nights to feel better.
My dairy free adventures are a total fail too.
Me.... pfft.. giving up dairy will be easy!
Also me.... /puts all the dairy in her coffee!!
/facepalm
Once I'm back OMADing and giving up coffee again, it won't be hard THEN since I'm not drinking coffee and getting wired at night /nodnod
Maintenance week is off to a good start. Had about 1800-1900 calories yesterday. Weight was a little down this morning too so yay Really hoping this week will help kick start the weight loss again. Really need to get my butt back in to it again.
Still planning on doing a week of bone broth. New batch yesterday looked nice and dark and delicious. Actually really looking forward to doing it too b/c I'm SUPER curious to see what happens and I want to push myself in to doing it. The mental game is going to be tough by day 3, but... I'm gonna do it!0 -

Im so glad you'll be getting to go to see Avengers on Friday I will be doing two mini fast days to get ready for all the popcorn I will be eating1
