I’m back again for my second month, and hopefully it’ll be a bit better than the first. I had a lot of bad days then, yo yo’d in weight, and essentially lost almost nothing.
But I’m determined to keep trying, so here’s to a better May.
Welcome back, keep trying and just don't give up.0 -
cydneebauman wrote: »Hello Hello team! This is my first month doing this biggest loser and I am super excited!!
I have been going strong for 2 weeks so far. I have been severely lactose intolerant my entire life and 2 weeks ago I decided to give up dairy for good, and what better time to work on my health!!?! I stopped drinking pop, consuming dairy, drinking(i do sometimes miss my wine) and all sweets besides fresh fruit. HOWEVER, the only thing I'm strict about is the dairy, the rest just kinda happened by not wanting to waste my calories. I walk every day at lunch since we get an hour lunch. I shoot for 3 miles during lunch. I plan on starting back at the gym this week, we shall see how that goes. 14 days and I have came in below my calorie goal every day!! I think my struggle is actually getting enough, since when I track calories I kind of get obsessed and eat too little.
I am committed to my health this go around more than ever and I am so excited to share in this journey with all of you!!
My long term Goal is to get down to a healthy weight, which for my height is around 135. I started this at 209 and I am currently at 199!!! Felt amazing to get out of the 200s today!!!
My may goal is to get below 190.
LETS DO THIS! WE GOT THIS! WE ARE IN CONTROL OF OUR FUTURE!!
Feel free to add me as a friend!
You're doing so awesome already👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This group is all about inspiring and motivating one another so I think you'll enjoy it and fit right in😃😃0 -

My first weigh in is tomorrow. While I am sure it's not going to be much (first week for me is never the best), I will take anything! Have a great weekend, team!

Hi Everyone,
I'm Andrea.
I signed up for the weight loss grant in 2017 at 171lbs and was told I had to get down to 143lbs to get my money reimbursed.
I was 9lbs away from that goal in July 2018 and then when Christmas season came around I guess I let it go and gained tons of weight. As of April 15th 2019 I weighed 183.2.
Which only gave me 12 week's to lose the weight. I decided on a low carb, low fat, med to high protein plan which I've done years ago ( WITH Dr. Bernstein). I won't be paying to his clinic but am trying to follow the plan that I received back then.
For the past few weeks I've been following the plan and am now at 169.8lbs
Most of my days my carb levels are between 30 to 45g, with a few days above depending on my workout but nothing past 70g of carbs.
If I continue to lose 3.5 to 5lbs per week I will definitely meet my goal. Hoping this group will help keep me motivated, as my head is finally in the game!
My goal for May is to lose a minimum of 10lbs.
I work out about 5 days per week sometimes twice in a day. Most workouts range from 30 to 60 min
Hi Andrea, this group will definitely help you stay on point by the help of others inspiring and motivating one another.0 -

Yeah Cindy, that's a scary thought in itself. But since I've been losing so much weight my levels have gone down.
Basically it's a lot of medical jargon but I'll try to explain it. Some people need the CPAP machine because of a condition called pulmonary hypertension which may or may not be caused from visceral fat around the heart and lungs. I happen to be a person who needs the CPAP because of the visceral fat around my heart and lungs so the more weight I lose the less I would need to use the CPAP machine. So my pulmonologist said I will be retested once I lose 150lbs so that's my goal.
Hope this explains it in more detail.
That's great that you will be able to get off of it. I'm almost halfway to goal but I accidentally fell asleep without it and woke up with a coughing attack almost immediately. I hate it but I guess I'm stuck with it.

That's awesome. I might get retested when I am close to goal, but I think mine is more of a hereditary disorder than a weight related issue. My Dad has the same problem and he doesn't have a weight problem.0 -
Happy Sunday Team!!
Welcome to May!!
This is how I'm feeling this weekend. Went to see Avengers last night and my hubby got junk food off of our diet and tried to convince me to cheat on it and I had no desire and realized that is the reality I'm in, I feel so much better and have no desire to eat bad things! Was really happy with that reality, it's a place I didn't think I would see!

Yeah Cindy, I was surprised my pulmonologist doctor uses the machine too cause he is so skinny. But I try not sleeping with it at night now and most nights I do really well. That's how I know I'll be able to get rid of mines soon.1 -

Once I’ve started painting I know I’ll be saying “Why did i even start this at 2230pm!” 😴 Weigh-in day tomorrow 🤞🏻2 -

Drinking lots of water. Helping wash away all the carbs I ate this weekend! A lot for me anyway.1 -
Hello Team Slimsons! My name is Beth and I’ve been a member since January. This group of people is a big reason why I’m down 34 lbs today! Always supportive, encouraging, ready with a hug or a celebration!! Keeps me very motivated.
Started at 240.8. Today I’m down to 206.8. I’m so looking forward to being under 200! I briefly saw 199 as I lost about 10 lbs before I knew I was pregnant, about 10 years ago. And it was many years before that that I ever saw the 100s consistently. I hope to make that happen this month!
My goals for May:
🔺 Sign up for 6 months of Taekwondo after my 1 month trial is over.
🔺 Lose 8 lbs
🔺 Reach 200 by May 24th. Have a family get together with folks I haven’t seen since I started.
🔺 Stick with the water! It’s really helping.
🔺 Want to get back on the exercise bike. Haven’t for awhile. Hoping the weight loss will make the seat less uncomfortable.
Ok Team Slimsons, lets attack May and get things done!!!3 -

Daily Post (Sunday, 4/28)
Track: No
Calories: Under
Exercise: No
Goals/Day/Comments: Not the best weight loss for week 1, but my first week is rarely great. Getting back into the swing of things. Did a little cleaning outside - hosed off the patio, got the grill prepped for the season. Fixed a few things around the house. Overall, tried to make it a relaxing day, getting ready for the week.
I have my alarm set for 5am. We'll see how that goes. Just getting myself used to getting up early so I can then start getting some exercise (probably walking) in each day. Hope the weekend treated you all well, and the week ahead is great!2 -

I have tried Mio (and several other flavor enhancers) - it seems like I always get a big headache shortly after drinking it. But, I definitely need to work on getting more water intake each day! Glad you felt so good today!0 -
Daily Post (Sunday)
Track: Yes
Calories: Yes
Exercise:Yes, 2 hours walking.
Comments: Getting back into tracking and limiting my calories again, today was my first day back at that after taking the last few weeks off from that and essentially gaining a few pounds back, which I did expect. What I did not expect was to lose nearly 2% in body fat. Took my measurements on Friday gearing up to get back into things and I've lost a few inches and nearly 2% in body fat, so while I'm a little heavier, I did manage to gain a significant amount of muscle, so there's that and I will take it.4 -

Weekends are really tough for me too. With all my kids, someone is always putting some type of food in my mouth, lol!! Snacking for sure is one of my biggest pitfalls!1 -
What's everyone's go to low calorie snack? I love pickles and popcorn but I am always looking for more snack ideas.0
