As we finish this month I just want to thank the team for a great month. Some of you have experienced injuries and family or work issues, but you continued on this journey. To those who have a great month of losing, congratulations!! It's not easy to continue to post if you haven't had success on the scale, but that's not the only measure of success in this journey. Remember that, and keep on pushing to a healthier life and body.

I just want to break into the 130s! That is my goal for June. My ultimate goal is 130. I did do a lot of strength training yesterday, and I am very sore today from that.1 -

I had a low willpower day yesterday. I was housebound all day and at a time of month I crave everything. Not a good combo. Back on it today though! I meal prepped a big chicken and veggie soup that I’ll eat on through the week. It’s one of my favorite time savers because it’s an easy way to guarantee I get lots of veggies over the week and I use enough chicken that it’s a decent protein option too. Also, it’s low enough in calories that I can make a wrap or half a sandwich to go with it so I don’t feel jilted by having “just soup” for a meal. I also burned plenty of calories today thanks to the excess of energy I stored yesterday. I’m really glad both of my kids can ride their bikes now; getting a run in is so much easier now that I can take them with me. Since schools were out for the holiday we went to the track. It was 80°F by the time I finished though, ugh! We really need to start waking earlier since it gets hot so fast.

Was at Trail Fest in Alabama until today, so here is my weigh-in, a day late.

We did a huge amount of hiking & Jeep riding in ridiculously hot, humid weather. I tried to keep calories contained, usually the extra amount of activity cancelled out the extra calories. However, since it was mostly restaurants or catered meals, I am sure the sodium, etc was very high. Am keeping fingers crossed that this is mostly water weight and I did not pack on over 8 pounds in 5 days!
(used same scales as always, during same time of day, same type of clothing)

Exercise? Elliptical 20 minutes, squats, 3 mile walk, and I tried a Buti Yoga class for n hour tonight! It was awesome!

Ugh...that's not the direction I want things to go. I had absolutely no self-control over the Memorial Day holiday. Our community pool opened and we were celebrating with friends & neighbors and the scale shows it. With that said, I'm going to get back on track and get below the 160's in June.1 -
