Hi and welcome to all our current and new members in Gutbusters!
I'm Bonnie and the captain for Gutbusters. I live in Nashville with my hubby of 33 years, Doug. We have two grown sons, Jon (Katie), who lives in Chattanooga and David, who lives in Greenville SC. We are pup parents to Ollie, our first attempt at fostering for Schnauzer Love Rescue. Oopsie! He's been a great addition to our family and we are so glad he landed here.
I cannot tell you how much being a part of this group has helped me to stay on the track toward a healthier me. Nights when I've been too tired to exercise or log my food I've done it anyway because of the accountability here.
I hope that you'll feel at home immediately and find great success in June. Please take a moment to introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have and if you need an encouraging friend, please feel free to send a friend request.
Have a great day!!
Bonnie

I meant May 27th2 -
@BonnieHosk85 that's awesome that your foster pup joined the fam!
June will be my second month doing the biggest loser challenge. I love the accountability, the weigh-ins (as hard as is is to put my weight out there for you all to see), the support and example of our team. I find it encouraging seeing the daily check-ins and the details/struggles/successes that you all have. I'm here for you, we're in this together. Thank you all for helping me be more consistent and intentional with my goals #overeatingismystruggle.
I'm a nurse that got into weightlifting when I pulled my back moving a patient. And a single 33yr old that got into BJJ for self defense. I train hard, but you can't out exercise a bad diet.
Here's to losing BIG in June!🎉4 -

Hi all! This is my third month as a Gutbuster. I’m a 37 year old mom, homeschooling my two young children (and so happy we’re about to be on summer break 🤣), training for a half marathon in July, and struggling to get out of the 140s. Really hoping this will be the month!! The further I get the slower it goes. 😭
Let’s have a great month and hang in there together!4 -
@LadySaton, glad you're staying with us. I homeschooled both of my sons all the way through. I am so glad I did and more importantly, they are too.3
-
This is my third month in the team Gutbusters, and I am hoping to move into the 130s this month! We head to the beach in July and to see family, so I would love to be in better shape for that vacation!
I am a 43 mom of 2 (6 and 9), and I live in the Denver, Colorado area. I am hoping to use the better weather to be outside more and lose those last 13 pounds!5 -
My second weigh-in for June will be late. I’m going to visit my family for a few days, so instead of reporting on the ninth I will report most likely on the 11th.2
-
I’ll be sure to post closer to time as well. I should still have internet access, just not a scale.2
-
@LadySaton, no problem, I've made a note. Enjoy your time with family!2

Please welcome our two newest members to The Gutbusters. @iongroove and @crystalbarton31, please introduce yourself when you have a moment. Welcome to our team!!1

I'm so excited to have found the challenge for the biggest loser! I'm 35, I have two daughters, 3 1/2 year old and a 7 month old who I'm still nursing, so I can't restrict my calories too much as I don't want to affect my supply. I'm starting my new lifestyle with taking charge of what goes into my body, I'll be adding exercise in a bit later. If I make too many changes at once I get overwhelmed and ultimately give up, so I'm starting with a diet overhaul and going from there. I'm just happy to have made some progress (14 pounds gone in the last month!) and I'm looking forward to what the future brings!7
-
Hi, @crystalbarton31. Glad you'll be with us in June. You're very smart to take it one thing at a time. I get overwhelmed when I think I have to do "exercise" so I've changed my mindset to think of it as being active. Example: 20-minute recumbent bike ride, or a walk around the block with my pup. That doesn't overwhelm me and I actually do it! Congrats on the 14-pound loss! That's great!

Hi there everyone! My name is Marilyn. I started my transformation in 2016 and lost 90lbs in a year and a half. Then slowly gained back 45. I need to get it off again. Looking forward to the accountability here.7

Hi all, I am Bobby T. My weight goes up and down based on the time of year I manager two tax offices during tax season (gaining season). My goal is to not go so high but to go lower than my previous years. I am very active in Fitbit (usually 10 challenges) I play volleyball and basketball in the winter and summer (losing weight season) i play on 3 softball teams as well as several tournaments around the country. I am from Pittsburgh PA.
I look forward to helping anyone in anyway I can!
☮️ Peace

Hi guys
i have been in this challenge since May. I am not loosing as much as i want. But trying to drink water and eat healthy is my main goal at the moment. Slowly adding exercise with 1 toddler 3/12 and 9 month old is little hard for me to get the exercise in.
But i am keen to get some exercise and loose weight with all the support from you guys. Thank you

Hi fellow Gutbusters! I had hoped to be out of the 160s by this coming Sunday (the first weigh-in), but I'm leaving for New Orleans this Friday, so there's no telling what I might see when I get back Sunday and step on the scale! Gonna try not to over-indulge to much! Hope by the end of the June challenge I'll be clearly OUT of the 160s and planted firmly in the 150s!7

Hello Gutbusters! I'm new to the challenge and I'm very excited to bust away my gut with you all!
My name is Suzanne. I am married and a stay at home mom to three, ages 5, 3.5, and 1. My goal is to lose weight both for my health and for my own vanity's sake.
At Monday's weigh in I was 193.4.
Short term goal is to hit 180.
Long term goal is to hit the 150 mark and see how I feel around that area.
Am I correct in understanding that I post here on this thread on my weigh in day (Monday) and that's all I have to do? (Other than cheer everyone on, of course!)6 -

Just let me know if you have to miss your weigh-in day or if you'll be late weighing in. If you miss two weeks in a row you'll be removed from the challenge.
I encourage each of you to commit to staying the entire month. Sometimes folks will have a slight gain and then drop out. But if you stick with it, work through whatever caused you to gain, you'll eventually have success and feel so good at the end of the month. This is a journey, not a sprint. Sometimes you gain. It's part of the process.
Blessings,
Bonnie

Last week I had a knee injury that kept me resting...turns out that's exactly what my body needed. I went back to my routine this week, and my body responded really well! :-)6 -
Hi everyone!
I am new to this challenge, but excited to go for it!
My name's Amy, I'm 29 and live in Greenville SC with my husband, 2 year old son and our 2 dogs.
I've always struggled so much with my weight and overeating. But I've been working really hard on getting my headspace in the right place and look forward to the extra motivation this will bring!
My starting weight for the challenge is 223.8lbs and my weigh in day is Thursday.7 -
Hi guys! My name is Keisha and I'm new to the MFP Challenge scene but excited to get started!
I've always struggled with my weight, but it's been really bad the last two years--I blame all of the celebrations from getting engaged and then married. My ultimate goal is to get to 145 and just live an overall more active/healthy lifestyle.
My starting weight for the challenge is 194 and I'd like to end the month at 186. Let's do this!!
PS. I weigh in on Saturdays. Does that make tomorrow my first weigh in??7
