Food: not the best
Water: 60 oz
Exercise and steps: plank challenge and 8883 steps

60 oz of water
eat when I am hungry and stop when satisified
Food:
mushroom, spinach, and swiss omelet
hash brown
rye toast
chili
deli roll
Popsicle
i never planned dinner. so it was pizza. i didn't say no, so food i ate that was not on my list, chips, 2 slices pizza, 1/4 calzone, cheese stick, salad, piece of chocolate and grapes.
it was a good day yesterday, i was really close to hitting my 24 hour plan. i have started a new book about compulsive eating. i am hoping to continue to learn why, and how to change my relationship with food. i am a smart person, i will figure this out. the pre-nup was difficult. it felt terrible but it is a necessary step. he and i have both been burnt badly by previous relationships. so this just says i don't want his stuff and he don't want mine. it made me cry. but moving on. today, i am not going to work, i took a sick day to take mom to her follow up appt with her cardiologist. i am going to prove to myself, once and for all that i can be at home and not over eat.
Today I will:
help mom get dressed
take her to her dr appt
make 24 hour plan
10k steps
plank challenge
journal
60 oz water
eat when hungry and stop when satisfied
listen to book, "when food is love"
30 minute walk
Food:
apple
protein bar
black berries
salad
tuna
chili
oyster crackers
broccoli

@Mrsbell8well ohhh your run sounds lovely. good job with you continued self care. and two days with no scale is a marvelous feat. you keep that up. and i will eat taco salad with you any day. mmmmmmm..... om gosh, the ole angelina would have never thought this possible. but the new girl is on fire!! love the results of your run, be careful, your hard work is showing!!! love your affirmations by the way. wonderful self talk!! you are lucky you got to speak to all your kids. so sweet.
@eyesopennow i see you increased your steps over the weekend. that is a great step toward building the new and improved mike. who do you want him to be? spend some time thinking about what it takes to make the new mike. then break it down to a doable daily plan. what is your why? ohhh and you and i have the same problem. i am great at work, no frig there. find your triggers, i know that sugar and bread can totally make me want to start compulsively eating.
@lennoncpa ohhh that is great your son is closer to you. i know how it is when they live so far away, my youngest son joined the service when he was 19 and has never live home since and now he is 29.
@nstephenson01 lol goat yoga. what a crack up. what happens if they poop? and that pic!! you look amazing. look at your tiny body. ohhh so proud of you.
@sleepymom5 nooo wait, you went to the shore and you didn't throw your eating plan out the window? i am loving this new Pam!! she is a fighter. did they give you some stretches for your hip? if not you should really include some in your practice. i hope that that bar is a monster success.
@Cafelelia ohhh yes, i know food pushers. and i am glad that you used your skills to stay on track. feel proud of that!! it is a great NSV!!
@ljdanny it sounds like your outing was a success as well. don't expect perfection when it come to changing a well ingrained habit. next time you will only have 2 beers, half your dinner, and only 1 piece of bread. always moving forward. and it sounds like you have set your week up for success.
@bmaison2014 maintains are good. what one thing can you change or add to your plan this week that will help you further yourself to your goal?
@twyla77 maintains are good. ohhh and incorporating exercise into a lovely day is wonderful self care. good job!!
@amsandos woooo whooo 2 pounds down. good job. you are doing great at mastering your new skills!
@gottagetthisdown maintain is good. you just keep at it. what can you add to your plan this week that will further you to your goal?

Check in for: Saturday and Sunday
Logged food: Yes, over / No, over
Water: 40 oz / 50 oz
Steps and Exercise: 10,880 steps / 10,108 steps
I had a really nice weekend with my family. Food-wise, I made some good choices at meals I was proud of but then ate some snacks/desserts I should’ve skipped. I got to 10,000 steps each day (barely), water was low. I want to get right back to what I was doing last week and keeping building on the good habits and momentum.
Today’s goals: Drink 64 ounces of water, 12,000 steps, yoga, log food and stay within calories.
Have a great Monday everyone!

Daily Check in: Sunday
Food: didn't log but on track
Water: 64 oz
Exercise and steps: none and 2968 steps
I had a very nice Mother's day. I was at the shore with 2 of my daughters. My son in law made eggs benadict and we had mimosas. We ended up heading home early due to the weather. We had a nice day with people in and out. Just everyone hanging out and talking. We are enjoying my nephew and his son being here. What a difference than my niece! I think my girls think they have a little brother Lol! My husband is helping my nephew make a financial plan and get back onto his feet. My husband actually thinks he is going to do well now that he isn't handing his check over to the woman he was living with. They are very humble and happy to be here. The son told me the other morning that it was the best sleep he had in months. We ended up ordering out from the place that has my favorite grilled chicken sandwich, It was just nice enjoying everyone's company. I actually had a great weekend overall. Proved to myself I can have fun and stay on track. I did have food that I normally wouldn't have but I ate to satisfied and I was fine with that. I wasn't tempted to over eat. I am not going to lie though, I liked not having to worry about steps or exercise. My hip feels better but isn't back to normal. I am done with the steroids. Today I am going to have to plan out my steps. I think I may start with 20 min on the treadmill and try to get to my goal too. I really don't want to set myself back but I also don't want to get too comfortable with not exercising and low steps. Oh well, today back to spring cleaning. My closet and clothes. I wanted to do this when I was packing for the shore but the clothes are out of control so I need to start here. Tomorrow I have a bunch of doctor's appointments for MK and another event at the bar. It is a soft opening for family members. We have a lot of them. I have to look at the menu, it is limited. Worse comes to worse, I will eat to satisfied. I may still eat at home and order a side salad...I was hoping it was a buffet like the other night. Oh well...hope everyone has a great week!
@bmaison2014 Maintaining isn't bad, how did your week go? Thanks for being part of the challenge.
@Julie8468 What a kick butt Mother's day you had! Thank you for being part of the challenge too.
@twyla77 Maintaining isn't bad. And you're right, you didn't give up. How did your plan go this week? Just reassess and plan for this week. You have been doing awesome. I bet your Mom had a great Mother's day. I am sure she loved taking a walk and having brunch with her girls.
@amsandos Nice loss! You really are doing well. That eating to a 2 makes a difference and such a simple concept. Not so simple to implement though! Lol! I am still working on it. Hope you have another great week. Remember we are here if you need us!
@Mrsbell8well Sounds like a beautiful Mother's day! I am sure it would be a tough day for Molly. Hugs! I didn't realize you had 2 son's in the military. That is a tough job to say the least, I am appreciative of their service.
@gottagetthisdown Maintaining isn't bad. I think you said you see the dietician today. I really think it is awesome how you are taking the time to do this right. It is a little easier to navigate with a plan.
@cyndiesstuff Already more hearts than devils on the recap of your day! That is progress! You don't have to be perfect, just one day at a time. I imagine that the prenup would be hard but I am sure it is good to have done and out of the way. Now you don't need to think about it again. I noticed that both days you didn't journal. Did you run out of time? I know you work and have a different schedule than me but I do mine first thing, even before I get on here. I just write what happened yesterday, what I plan for today and anything else going on. Sometimes I just say I have to run and I will catch up tomorrow. Maybe you can start off by using your check in here as your journal entry. I think once you are in the habit of doing it that you will like it. Yes, I had a fun weekend and didn't blow it! It is a nice feeling! I was with the party group too so that makes it more impressive Lol! This summer is going to be so different. I do have stretches I am doing for my hip and I am still doing the shoulder one. I think I am probably going to have to do these daily for the rest of my life. I can feel my shoulder starting if I miss a day.
@Shirin_K Not a bad weekend at all. I like your plan for the week, you did great last week so lets go for a repeat!6 -
Friday - Sunday Check in
Food - not too bad, a few treats here and there but nothing crazy
Water - not enough as typical
Exercise - lots!
I had a 3 day weekend and was busy busy busy. Sad to come back to work today too - I love this time of the year and I'd rather be outside in my garden then in the office
I started making a plan in my journal but I am such a bad journal keeper. I prefer to have plans in my head then on paper. I think it's the introvert in me (keeping things private)! Anyhoo..plan is simple. I want to get down to 137 lbs period. I'll achieve it by:- Watching my Carbs
- Eating as clean as I can with plenty of vegetables, fruit, quality protein and healthy fats.
- If I want a treat, it needs to be low carb!!
- I will continue to drink a lot of water and cut back on evening caffeine consumption so I can sleep better at night.
- Finally keep up with 10,000+ steps a day and yoga 4 times a week!
I also finally got the Diet Trap Solution audiobook from the library. Looking forward to listening to it! I'm just finishing my "An Act of Villainy" by Ashley Weaver first before I start. I need to know who murdered Flora Bell..the actress!!
Since I had Friday off, I am super busy at work. But...I read all your posts but no time to comment. I'm impressed how well everyone is doing! I love how lately there's been more communication on our thread too!
Have a wonderful day!

Check in for Sunday
Logged: no, bad choices
Water: probably not enough
Exercise: 48 minutes walk
Steps 10,223
I was busy with house work and gardening, didn't plan my food and water. Ate whatever available (my hand always reach for high carbs). I started good with omelette and veggies for breakfast, but then not so good. I had water only when thirsty, I did have a lot, but probably not enough.
Even though I was on my feet all day, I only had 4k steps. At the end of the day I went for a walk to get my steps in.
My plan for today
Stay below 1750 calories
At least 80oz water
30 min strength, plank challenge
10k steps4 -
My plan for today. After I pick my son up from work I plan on getting some sort of exercise in. If it's not raining im going to go for a walk. It's supposed to rain the next few days but not sure when it's starting. If it is raining I will throw a video in. I cut up some lemon and have that in my water today. Off to get 13 kindergarteners off the bus. Have a great day.3
-
@carlsoda What a great plan to get to your goal. You are so close to goal too!
@hope002 Great job getting out there and walking even though you were on your feet all day. Nice plan for today!
@ljdanny Sounds like you have a great plan for today too. It is raining here as well, I guess I will do a walking video...0 -
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend & Mother's Day!
My weekend was good, my Mother's Day was relaxing. The weather was horrible yesterday, raining & cold. It is going to be like that for the next few days, then warm up by the weekend. Had breakfast with my mom yesterday and had dinner with my mother in law, we ordered Chinese food. I have not worked out since Wednesday, I have been busy and could not fit it in. I thought I was going to workout tonight, but I have a doctor's appointment after work and will not get home until about 8:00, so tonight is another miss, but I am back on track with my food. The scale was up a bit this morning, but I should be able to get back down by the weekend.
Have a great day & week!4 -

@cyndiesstuff I love the way you've regained your control and your to do lists and you are doing an amazing job!
@sleepymom5 I admire you for going on vacation and continuing your healthy plan! I hope to have as much control someday!
This weekend was good on many fronts but I'm still struggling a lot mentally. I sat down this morning to journal about how out of control I felt and wrote out the food choices I had made. Some good, several bad - some were the healthiest options I could find under the circumstances. Writing it all out reminded me that I AM the one in control of my food and I CAN make the best decisions for myself.
Hopefully I'll take that reminder and run with it this week.
Happy Monday, everyone!5 -

@GingerPwr I know that you have been struggling lately but you do keep putting one foot in front of the other and have stayed with us. I like how you haven't given up on yourself and you are still trying to figure it out. Give yourself credit for that. Hugs to you!

I baked delicious cupcakes today for my daughters school bday snack.
I skipped breakfast and had one.
New me ate one and ate very clean for the rest of the day. Lean Steak, cut up steamed beans, home made beef jerky, rotisserie deli and tons of veggies.
Did upper body workout - back and triceps and felt accomplished.
Old me would have eaten 3 and then felt guilty but still turned today into a big cheat day and ate whatever.
I think I like the new me much better.

Water 40 oz
Exercise yoga 25 abs challenge
Steps 8461
Molly, Skylynn and I came home and set our timer for 15 minutes. It’s amazing how much cleaning you can get done in a short period of time. That’s our focus for the week.
I’m back to eating large portions of vegetables and fruits. Interesting logging and tracking again. It’s educational. I went over on calories getting in my daily dozen. Might need to cut back on dd and save till maintenance. Still at 1600 for the day not too bad.3 -
daily checkin
Another sugary incident. I swear it is like the devil gets in me and takes hold. Now I have Coriene voice in my head saying you chose to eat it don't make it mean something it doesn't. She is right of course and experience has taught me that this is not the end of the story. I have 6 days to make it good but I just need to focus on today. Got a bit of a migrane today. I think my coffee may have had caffenine in it. The upside is I feel a bit sick and I am drinking lots of water.4 -
Daily Check in: Monday
Food: still not on track
Water: 60 oz
Exercise and steps: 30 minute walk, plank challenge, 10904 steps
How i did yesterday:
help mom get dressed
take her to her dr appt
make 24 hour plan
10k steps
plank challenge
journal
60 oz water
eat when hungry and stop when satisfied
listen to book, "when food is love"
30 minute walk
Food:
apple
protein bar
black berries
salad
tuna - had hard boiled egg and pumpkin seeds instead
chili
oyster crackers
broccoli
outshine popcicle
Things i ate not on my list
pizza chips cereal and cheese.
i believe that yesterday was amazing. i was not at work, and home alone and i ate like a normal person till dinner. i ate a trigger food at dinner, pizza. the bread makes me feel like i want more and more and more. this whole weekend was a success. i have felt more in control. my food is just a cast, it is not the wound. i am working on discover what it is that is causing me such pain. it is a lot. and i am afraid to deal with it with out counseling. the compulsion is not about the food. it is about saving myself from me. its deep! and all of this coming up now makes perfect sense. my mom is dying. it brings up so much about my past. she says she is sorry. hmmmm. it can't change what has happened. i will be kind to her in death. it is my revenge.
Today I will:
go to work
10k steps
60 oz water
journal
24 hour plan
plank challenge
30 minute walk
eat when hungry and stop when satisfied
Food:
apple
protein bar
smart ones meal
broccoli
deli roll
veggie bag
hello fresh meal
popcicle
