Tuesday Check in
Food Not good...
Water 80 oz
Exercise and steps - None and 3260 steps
Let me start by saying the soft opening at the bar with the family was awesome! My husband is the youngest of 6 and everyone made it but one sister. One sister came from South Carolina! My husband does a lot for other people and just to see everyone show up to support his new venture was awesome. I know they got free food and drinks but I know that they would have been there even if they had to pay. Everyone who was over 21 in our family was invited with the exception of MK who is 19 and the other owners children who are way younger. It was so much fun! It was like a holiday without actually being a holiday.
Now...I did ok except drinking. They offer a cheeseburger and a crabcake sandwich as sliders too so I got the cheeseburger sliders. I did sample some things other people had too. I ate 1 slider and some fries and took the rest home. I just didn't even think and drank way too much. Not enough that I am hung over but enough to go home and eat. I was really hungry and someone ate my sliders so I had cookies that I had bought for my nephew's son. It was prepackaged so I only had one pack but then I had a power bar too. I did stop after that at least. I have a drinking plan that has been working so I don't know why I threw it out the window. I actually just didn't think, I thought about the food though...I am not willing to give up drinking so I need to have a good plan.
On to today...I have a lunch and movie date with some friends and then I am getting my nails done. It is beautiful out so I am hoping that maybe I can go for a short walk after. I need to get into a routine and slowly increase my steps. I also need to add in strength. I have so much going on that I do need to sit down and plan. I get busy, I don't plan, I get overwhelmed...it is a cycle. I got to get moving. Hope everyone has a good day!
@cyndiesstuff You are the best. Thanks for thinking of me last night, I saw it a little too late. Hope all is well with your Mom. Those symptoms could be anything. I am glad that they didn't find anything cardiac wrong. Hugs.

Tuesday Check in:
Food: Good day: over on calories but carbs were 42. Right on track!
Water: Great
Exercise: 14,000+ steps
Yesterday's goals were met!
Today's goals:
Food - keep carbs 50 or under
Water - drink lots (which I will)
Exercise - 10,000 steps plus at least 20 minutes yoga. My daughter is coming for dinner so we may need to eat early and as soon as she leaves do my yoga. Hmmm...maybe bedtime yoga??!!
Gotta run - yesterday was full of meetings but I'm working on my Advantages List from the Beck diet solution. Kinda fun what I'm coming up with and some are super silly...I remember the feeling when I was at goal weight and how my legs crossed differently. Such a silly little thing but it make me feel super skinny!
Have a wonderful and successful day!!5 -
You ladies have been killing it!
I read through posts and see 40-50-60 pounds lost overally?
Whaaat? that’s amazing!!!2 -
@Mrsbell8well you are doing just awesome. your tenacity always amazes me! and look at that loss you got this week. wonder woman!!
@phoebe112476 wow you just have so much going on. what a great time to be you!! and bless you for taking in a foster child. you are my hero. and the childs hero too!! you have come such a long way. almost 60 gone!! beautiful!
@Julie8468 that is so great that you son is not afraid to join mom at the gym. 13 is a tough age and a good relationship with his mom is vital. hubby made food. wow. see? it can be done!! lol. this week and next we will have hello fresh three times a week. I love it but it is expensive.
@sleepymom5 well it was a partial success. you ate under control at the event and had a great time with your family. but drinking lowers your inhibitions. and you know this. https://realweightlossrealwomen.com/wlmr124-lies/ this podcast is for you. I think it will help you address part of what is going on.
our group rocks right @lenka1? just wow!2 -
@carlsoda when I was at my highest weight I could not even cross my legs. I could not tie my shoes without gasping for air. I could not see my whoohaaa (if you know what I mean). shaving my legs was another difficult task. weight loss is so beneficial in many ways. good job on your advantages list. I put a reminder on my phone to read them thru out the day. the more you say it to yourself the better it is.3

Tuesday check in
Food - logged & under
Water 1 l
Exercise - 10,085 steps & Physio
I am so grateful whenever I can hit 10,000 steps and also grateful to be back to running, however gradual it is. I went over my Garmin logs for the past year and found some encouraging data on average steps per day:
Feb to June 2018 (half marathon training & race ) - 13,500 steps per day
November/December 2018 (injury at its worst) - 5,500 steps per day.
Past 4 weeks - 8,462 steps per day.
It is nice to see my recovery on the Garmin graphs!
@Mrsbell8well, @nstephen01 & @phoebe1 - Congratulations on you amazing losses! So inspiring!
@cyndiesstuff - Sorry about you mom. I really admire how you can stay on track regardless of any curve balls that life throws at you! My mom is progressing well with her iPad skills. She is listening to audiobooks, playing games, and she sent me an email yesterday. She is 81 and still in good shape, but she was feeling left behind not understanding technology. I gave her "to dos" for everyday this week so that she gains confidence. I am really proud of her!

Getting off track with dieting can be very discouraging, but it doesn't need to be. If you were learning to play the piano and hit a wrong key, you would never take that as a sign to give up completely. Mistakes will happen. They happen in every aspect of your life. Just keep practicing and you will get there.4 -
Attention Team, I want everyone to take some time tomorrow and eat mindfully. Just for the day, stash your mobile phone in your purse, pocket or drawer while you are eating. When you ditch the distracting devices, you can actually focus on savoring your food and enjoying your mealtime companions. Sit at a table. No TV. No distractions. Make a note of how you feel when you start eating, half way thru your meal and at the end. Then Friday, come here and share your results. We need to really start becoming aware of what our bodies need.6 -
So yesterday we sat in the er most of the day and they couldn't find what was wrong with my son. They said if your still in pain in a few days come back. So he went to work today in pain. But the vomiting stopped. Today we are sitting at the Dr waiting to find out if the baby is going to be a boy or girl. After this I'm going to get my hair done. Not sure what I'm more excited for, finding out what they are having or getting my hair done, lol.5
-
Greetings team and thanks for the great feedback. See - you guys get me!! That’s awesome. We are in this together and I love the support. Yesterday my eating was so- so. Definitely did not eat enough protein and way too many carbs. But I’m feeling good today and trying to keep the good attitude going.1
-
@cyndiesstuff I was in a rush this am and missed your post. Is there anyway your regular doctor can help? This insurance thing is crazy. I do think you are really making an effort to get yourself on a good path. You have been doing really well the past few days. Was your Mom discharged? I will listen to that podcast. I already have it bookmarked on the computer.
@carlsoda I feel the same way with the crossing legs thing. Lol! I really liked that book. I hope you get as much out of it as I did
@Shirin_K Another great day!! You have been doing awesome!
@Cafelelia How cool to be able to look back like that. You really have come far! Sounds like you had another good day!
@ljdanny How frustrating for you and your son! I hope he's feeling better. You are going to totally be in love with this grandchild once he/she gets here! So....is it a he or a she???
@lennoncpa Yes! Keep the good attitude going! You can do this!1 -
I never got to do daily check in. Had a good day and a big night. Didn’t finish work till 6:30 then groceries, yoga, abs, dinner, budget, dishes and 15 minutes cleaning Skylynn’s room, floss, wash face and finally daily check in. Phew. Now 10 minutes to enjoy my book before bed. Night night.3

Good morning everyone! I had my daughter take the scale out of my room and hide it from me she is only to return it Sunday night for Monday's weigh in then return it to it's hiding place. I think about the scale every day...weird how much my weight matters over how I feel. Yesterday I started my workout then sat down and didn't finish it, oh well there is always today to do better. I only got in 40 oz of water yesterday .6
-
@Shirin_K wow look at that day you had Tuesday!! that is awesome.
@Cafelelia when we hurt ourselves it is really hard to take the time to rest. you are truly a success. you have not given up. good job. and thanks for the admiration. I have learned to never give up.
@ljdanny ohhh man. sometimes I hate the doctors. it's like... he's sick, we know he's sick but can't find whats wrong. uggghhh. hang in there. I can't wait to hear the news about the baby and getting your hair done is great self care!!
@lennoncpa yes we do get you. because we have all been there. you just keep working at it! and we will get there together.
@sleepymom5 no my regular doctor would know less than I do. she would be no help. I am following another lead this morning. heres to hoping. and no, they kept her so I spent the evening at the hospital. they ran a bunch of tests. I hope she goes to rehab after this. I don't think my dad can take much more.
@Mrsbell8well wow what a busy day. thanks for stopping by and checking in! and thanks for the heart. I am feeling some better. wonder twin powers activate!!
@GingerPwr maintains are good. I know I always say that. but it is true. I know you have been stuggling. chin up. you got this. and smile, it looks good on you!!

@gottagetthisdown good thinking on the scale problem. I was going to suggest you put it in your car. but what you are doing should work. it is just a bad habit. like over eating. you can break it. the longer you go without doing it the easier it will become. and soon it won't bother you as much. but remember, when you do weigh, it is still going to mess with your mind, so be careful not to slip back in the old bad habit.3
-
Be mindful today at meal time and share what you learn tomorrow
Mindful eating example:
Breakfast
I started eating when I got to work at 8:30. I sat at my desk. I was mildly hungry, maybe a -1. the apple was crisp and juicy. the sweet tart taste was ohhh so yummy. it was the perfect apple. I could feel it land in my stomach when I swallowed. it felt good. half way thru my breakfast, i was probably at a zero on the hunger scale. exactly where i wanted to be. my cheerio's were crisp and crunchy. like the apple, but very different as well. they were dry. i drank water to help wash them down. they were filling. i put my fist to my stomach and held it there firmly. it felt mildly full. i would say a +2. i would not be eating my hard boiled egg right now. i am satisfied.4 -
Tuesday and Wednesday were good days for my step counts
Tuesday - 7405 (+100 or so) steps - 1900 calories burned
Wednesday - 8993 steps - 2075 calories burned
Yesterday was the first time ever that I was under on calories and met all the macros even protein3 -
Wednesday Check In
Food -Logged & on track
Water- 1.3 l
Exercise - physio, 8417 steps including 22 minute run
Finally, we have a sunny day here in Toronto! I have a sports massage at the end of the day today, and am looking forward to it. Yes @cyndiesstuff, I am eating mindfully today. Your description of breakfast was poetic!!2 -
I ate breakfast about 7:45 after waking up and reading about an hour. I was not really hungry as usual. I had an instant breakfast - my chocolate fix for the day - and an English muffin with margarine. I ate slowly so by the last bite the muffin was getting cold but still yummy.2
