@carlsoda when I was at my highest weight I could not even cross my legs. I could not tie my shoes without gasping for air. I could not see my whoohaaa (if you know what I mean). shaving my legs was another difficult task. weight loss is so beneficial in many ways. good job on your advantages list. I put a reminder on my phone to read them thru out the day. the more you say it to yourself the better it is.

    Check in for: Tuesday
    Logged food: Yes, under!
    Water: 64 oz
Steps and Exercise: 18,354 steps, 1 hour of walking outside

Thanks for all the kind comments! Yesterday the weather was gorgeous, and I got out and enjoyed it! I made all the daily goals I set, with calories to spare.

Today’s goals: Drink 64 ounces of water, 12,000 steps, 30 minutes of exercise, log food and stay within calories.

I love seeing all the successes on here, whether huge or small! So many stories of adjusting to what’s going on in your life, making positive changes, and working hard to make a healthy you! It’s inspiring!

    Tuesday check in
    Food - logged & under
    Water 1 l
    Exercise - 10,085 steps & Physio

I am so grateful whenever I can hit 10,000 steps and also grateful to be back to running, however gradual it is. I went over my Garmin logs for the past year and found some encouraging data on average steps per day:

Feb to June 2018 (half marathon training & race ) - 13,500 steps per day
November/December 2018 (injury at its worst) - 5,500 steps per day.
Past 4 weeks - 8,462 steps per day.

It is nice to see my recovery on the Garmin graphs!

    @Mrsbell8well, @nstephen01 & @phoebe1 - Congratulations on you amazing losses! So inspiring!

@cyndiesstuff - Sorry about you mom. I really admire how you can stay on track regardless of any curve balls that life throws at you! My mom is progressing well with her iPad skills. She is listening to audiobooks, playing games, and she sent me an email yesterday. She is 81 and still in good shape, but she was feeling left behind not understanding technology. I gave her "to dos" for everyday this week so that she gains confidence. I am really proud of her!

Getting off track with dieting can be very discouraging, but it doesn't need to be. If you were learning to play the piano and hit a wrong key, you would never take that as a sign to give up completely. Mistakes will happen. They happen in every aspect of your life. Just keep practicing and you will get there.

Greetings team and thanks for the great feedback. See - you guys get me!! That’s awesome. We are in this together and I love the support. Yesterday my eating was so- so. Definitely did not eat enough protein and way too many carbs. But I’m feeling good today and trying to keep the good attitude going.

@cyndiesstuff I was in a rush this am and missed your post. Is there anyway your regular doctor can help? This insurance thing is crazy. I do think you are really making an effort to get yourself on a good path. You have been doing really well the past few days. Was your Mom discharged? I will listen to that podcast. I already have it bookmarked on the computer.
@carlsoda I feel the same way with the crossing legs thing. Lol! I really liked that book. I hope you get as much out of it as I did
@Shirin_K Another great day!! You have been doing awesome!
@Cafelelia How cool to be able to look back like that. You really have come far! Sounds like you had another good day!
@ljdanny How frustrating for you and your son! I hope he's feeling better. You are going to totally be in love with this grandchild once he/she gets here! So....is it a he or a she???
@lennoncpa Yes! Keep the good attitude going! You can do this!

I never got to do daily check in. Had a good day and a big night. Didn’t finish work till 6:30 then groceries, yoga, abs, dinner, budget, dishes and 15 minutes cleaning Skylynn’s room, floss, wash face and finally daily check in. Phew. Now 10 minutes to enjoy my book before bed. Night night.

@Shirin_K wow look at that day you had Tuesday!! that is awesome.

@Cafelelia when we hurt ourselves it is really hard to take the time to rest. you are truly a success. you have not given up. good job. and thanks for the admiration. I have learned to never give up.

@ljdanny ohhh man. sometimes I hate the doctors. it's like... he's sick, we know he's sick but can't find whats wrong. uggghhh. hang in there. I can't wait to hear the news about the baby and getting your hair done is great self care!!

@lennoncpa yes we do get you. because we have all been there. you just keep working at it! and we will get there together.

@sleepymom5 no my regular doctor would know less than I do. she would be no help. I am following another lead this morning. heres to hoping. and no, they kept her so I spent the evening at the hospital. they ran a bunch of tests. I hope she goes to rehab after this. I don't think my dad can take much more.

@Mrsbell8well wow what a busy day. thanks for stopping by and checking in! and thanks for the heart. I am feeling some better. wonder twin powers activate!!

@gottagetthisdown good thinking on the scale problem. I was going to suggest you put it in your car. but what you are doing should work. it is just a bad habit. like over eating. you can break it. the longer you go without doing it the easier it will become. and soon it won't bother you as much. but remember, when you do weigh, it is still going to mess with your mind, so be careful not to slip back in the old bad habit.

Be mindful today at meal time and share what you learn tomorrow

    Mindful eating example:

    Breakfast
I started eating when I got to work at 8:30. I sat at my desk. I was mildly hungry, maybe a -1. the apple was crisp and juicy. the sweet tart taste was ohhh so yummy. it was the perfect apple. I could feel it land in my stomach when I swallowed. it felt good. half way thru my breakfast, i was probably at a zero on the hunger scale. exactly where i wanted to be. my cheerio's were crisp and crunchy. like the apple, but very different as well. they were dry. i drank water to help wash them down. they were filling. i put my fist to my stomach and held it there firmly. it felt mildly full. i would say a +2. i would not be eating my hard boiled egg right now. i am satisfied.

Yesterday was the first time ever that I was under on calories and met all the macros even protein

I ate breakfast about 7:45 after waking up and reading about an hour. I was not really hungry as usual. I had an instant breakfast - my chocolate fix for the day - and an English muffin with margarine. I ate slowly so by the last bite the muffin was getting cold but still yummy.
