Stupid TOM. In 25 years I’ve never had one. Get my cervix out and loose some weight and all of a sudden it wants to work!!
I know why it is like now to stay under calories and work out and see no progress and upward movement. Sigh!
So far no loss this week only gain. 😢7 -
Some progress this week too.

After getting down to 175.6 - for a day - I have of course bounced up and am over that for the second day. So deflating - even though I know it isn't a real gain - and it casts a shadow over the day.
So, I thought I would come and post my numbers so that I don't lose track of the bigger picture.3 -
You are doing such a great job losing weight!....I love your updates!2

Come on, 299, you are sooooooo close! I can't remember the last time I was under 300 pounds... Maybe before my wedding, back in 2009.
In other news, my primary diagnosed me with depression and severe anxiety and put me on Zoloft. I've only been on a half dose for a week (go up to a full dose starting tomorrow), but I've heard a lot of people say they've gained weight while on it, so, I have a feeling I'm going to have to be really strict about calorie counting. I get an assessment with a therapist tomorrow (which just so happens to also be my birthday), so, we'll see what she says about the diagnosis.3 -

What's Working/What Needs Work: Yes, as you can imagine packing on almost 7 lbs in a single week is EXTREMELY disheartening and depressing, even though I know most of it is water weight, especially as TOM is just around the corner. *sigh* but my will power has been dead the last week, too, and I know I've over eaten big time this week so part of that, maybe as much as 2 lbs, is really, genuine weight gain. I wish I could figure out why my brain does this! I will go for several months of being able to stick to deficit, exercise, lose a ton of weight, then it slows down and the switch flips to off, and I can't get restarted for the life of me. it is SO incredibly frustrating! And I knew based on past patterns it would happen, though I had figured out how to ride through, but apparently not. *sigh*
I did get an elliptical session in yesterday and today; I'm trying my level best to get that routine going again. IT also makes for good prayer time which I have sorely been failing in as well. I'm trying my best to hold the snacking down too, but have failed miserably at that lately. I can't seem to get it back under control.
But this is a new day; I need to let this go and focus on today and moving forward, not letting myself get bogged down by the past. I need to remind myself as long as I keep trying, there's hope for success; quitting only guarantees failure.
So don't mind me as I indulge in a bit of a pity party; I'll shake it off once TOM starts lol
And 1 week left until I go to Green Bay!6 -

It'll all get better once TOM is over. And your trip is coming up: so exciting!!

Maybe a bit of self-compassion might be in order! You don't speak of it - but this is a really really big thing coming up, there must be some anxiety happening - which makes it really hard to handle even more stress and stay strong on the deficit front.
Please be gentle with yourself....you are doing a really really big thing right now!

I know I haven't posted in a while and I've got to get better about that I'm always more motivated after posting here and reading all of yalls posts too. That said here is my progress .... stalled a bit by Aunt Flo's visit this week ......I'm hoping my weight in the morning will be down finally !

So I'm down 46 pounds right now I started my journey in the beginning of August 2020 when I hit 240 lbs I'll be down 50 pounds and I can taste it !
Also my husband has within the last 2 weeks been inspired by my success and he started watching what he's eating ! He told me this morning he has lost 5 pounds since he started ! He doesn't know my weight but his weight started out at about 246 pounds which was only a few pounds more than I was at the time. Feels like a small non scale victory knowing I was finally smaller than he was again ! I'm sure he's smaller than me now but I'm ok with it I will persevere and I will get to my goal ! Thanks all who read till the end!

Almost 50 lbs is a good amount!...it is great that your husband is also losing weight!...I felt the same way when I actually weighed less than my husband!....keep it going!1

Good progress this week! (well, technically 8 days, but ok)

This past week has felt like a miracle. Things had so completely slowed down on the scale front in January and suddenly .... woosh!!!! ....
I've really really upped my water intake. Not sure if that made a difference or just coincidence ???? but I tell you, I'm going to keep drinking lots and lots of water even if I have to pee a million times a day!

Thank you, but this week I swear it is just good luck! Or payback from weeks in January where I was walking a lot, eating with such discipline and nothing was happening. I was thinking that it was just going to be hell for the last 20 or 30 pounds. But maybe not? Maybe just different?
I'm thinking that your March 1 weight in is maybe going to have you dancing on the ceiling!2 -

I hope I will be doing cartwheels lol...your whoosh did probably catch up with you from last month...it’s crazy how it does that!1 -
My trip was a great success. I needed that time alone to recharge. It however was not a weight loss success. I had no expectations that I would have lost weight while I was there. I ate what I wanted when I wanted. I tried all the Mardi Gras samples from different countries. I weighed in at +7lbs yesterday. I know I didn’t gain 7 lbs in three days. I know airplane and heat play a part in retaining water. I was down a whole lb this morning so it is coming off. Even if I gained a lb or two it was so worth it!!6

Glad you enjoyed your trip!0

I did it! I'm finally under 300 pounds, ahhhhh! I almost cried this morning when I saw it on the scales!
I'm worried about losing too much too fast, though. I'm trying to force myself to eat more, unfortunately I'm on a pretty strict low FODMAP diet, so, it's hard to find things I'm able to eat that allow me to get up in my calories. Or, well, I should say, it's hard for me to find "healthy" liver/diabetic friendly things to eat that I can build up my calories I could eat plenty of plain potato chips and stuff, easily, on this diet. But, not exactly friendly for my liver issues and diabetes.
(Also had to edit... I kinda forgot I had a birthday recently and am now 38... :P)8 -
@_inHisGrace Terrific progress, congratulations!!
@rieraclaelin We have to get a word like "onederland" for beating the 300 mark. We have to, it's a great milestone! Also, happy birthday!
On the Balkan front, good progress this week. Needed that.

Congratulations - what a great accomplishment you have gifted yourself!
I love words and will put a beanie on for the onederland equivalent. Maybe you can start a new thread and people can chime in with ideas???
