Oh jeepers! It's been a little crazy with some yard work, cutting and trimming trees ( and not even for Christmas;)
anywho, I have no idea what my milage was last week but through tonight I've tracked 49.17 miles.
I've got 5 out of 14 workouts completed for my Apple watch challenge.
I'm also happy that my husband is down nearly 25 pounds since his last physical and is Cholesterol had dropped 77 points! He doesn't walk but he eats better than I do and tears up the mt bike trails.2 -
@Deeder522, I am so very proud of your husband! He has really changed his life and health since his last physical! Well done to him!

@texasgardnr the assistant manager already is walking the property. We take turns. If I walk it in the morning she walks it in the evening both of us with broom and dustpan in hand.1

8/1 Workout #163 building fence 2 hrs. 1.5 miles and lifting fence panels. burned 1,379 calories doing 120 minutes of Yard Work
8/2 burned 648 calories doing 150 minutes of Carpentry, general Workout # 164 2.5 hours siding house. Way to hot out to be doing that. 98 degrees
8/3 Workout #165 5 hours siding house. Burned 1,297 calories doing 300 minutes of Carpentry, general
8/4 Workout # 166 1st was 1 hr & 20 Mins of grocery shopping and putting everything away. 502 Calories burned. 2nd was 1 hr of helping Kevin outside before it got to hot. 259 Calories burned. Total Calories burned 761.
8/5 Workout #170 3 Walk off the Pounds miles & 1 Mile working August Miles 13.24 2019 miles 882.59 First day of work was all about learning the computer. So only got 1 mile in at work felt I really needed a workout too. So after dinner jumped right in there.

DURATION 40:00 KCAL 460 When I say I am cleaning space it is storage units sweeping walls doors and floors from 5'X5' to 20'X40' so I am considering that a workout using upper and lower body parts. Weigh in tomorrow

@knjstolt, I'm guessing that you are walking your miles on concrete, and we know it is in our Texas heat. So those miles are definitely counting as some mega exercise for you. I hope the cramping subsides soon for you. Take special care of yourself in the evening. Hugs 🌹💖 .

My goal for August is to continue to be active in some way at least 5 days a week while adding in other exercises/ activities as tolerated while allowing my knee to heal. This is getting me outside a lot more to keep up the yard and garden while I'm melting . (I'm missing my Leslie workouts 😧)

@texasgardnr Yes walking on concrete today was 98 when I was out in it. I put a wet had towel under my hat and drape it over my shoulders. so that helps me stay cool. I also duck into climate control halls for the units too. I love that I am able to be outside. Aspercreme on the calves help the cramping.1

@knjstolt, that was a great idea using the wet towel under your hat. This TX heat has been brutal lately. Heat advisories keep showing up on my weather app. I also like Aspercreme for my feet and legs. Look at you working outside, including more work on that siding again, on your day off yesterday. Hope that you got some rest today.
@AnnofB, you are certainly meeting, and probably exceeding, your strength goal! Awesome commitment as well as workouts.
@VeggieGirlforLife, never be concerned about when, or how often, you log your exercise/ walks. Historically in this group we have all posted every day sometimes, as well as when we can, however and whenever that may be, at other times. The important thing is that you are exercising/ walking! Post whenever you can or want to. It's all good.
