    Today's Goals - Thurs 15th Aug
    > 6000 steps (bit lower as I am cycling both ways today and not sure if I will get out at lunchtime). :-1:
    > Strength Training :-1:
    > Accurate Logging
    > Earlier Night with a bit of reading (Asleep before 11pm).

The weather was miserable and I wanted to clear out some of my clutter, so ended up around 5100 instead of 6000 steps and skipped the strength training as I can do that this evening instead.

So today's goals (Fri 16th Aug) are:
    > 5000 Steps
    > Strength Training
    > Accurate Logging
    > De-clutter bathroom this evening (not really weight/fitness related but affects my wellbeing)

Weekend Goals (Sat 17th & Sun 18th) are:
    > 8000 Steps
    > De-cluttering Basement Storage (Landlord coming over to collect old tenants stuff).
    > Nursing my tomatoes back to full health (I neglected them a bit lately).
    > Setting up a green area at the back of my parking space.
    > Try out Nerd Fitness Stretching Video a friend here recommended.
    > Deep Clean Kitchen

Hit the pool and do some swimming ( so good for my mental and physical health)
Get a much needed haircut ( always feel great after a trim😁)
    Lots of water

Tuesdays and Thursdays are fasting days for me - so today's goal is to build, in my mind, the PERFECT 600-calorie salad to end my 24-hour fast with tonight.

    @jim_pipkin

I hope you are eating those 2 days of calories during the week. If not you are not eating 1800 calories per day which I thought was your new goal. Instead you are eating 1286 calories per day and eating below the minimum nutrition line for a male which is 1500.

I'm on leave until the 27th (staying at home) so my goal every day for the next 10 days is to stay on track with my calories and keep active.
I find it difficult when I don't have the structure of the working day, I either forget to eat or just graze all day. Also eating out or takeaways usually happen.

Make something special you normally wouldnt have or try a new recipe you havent made before. That will usually keep me out of the restaurants for a little bit.

@jjlewey that's a good idea actually, I do get on better when I plan, and I have a slow cooker and breadmaker so I can get those going on a morning.

I did write this out last night but on the app I have a terrible habit of pressing Done instead of Post so I lost it all
So today's goals (Fri 16th Aug) are:
    > 5000 Steps :)
    > Strength Training :)
    > Accurate Logging :)
    > De-clutter bathroom this evening (not really weight/fitness related but affects my wellbeing) :)

Got 7690 steps in, did some lighter lower body strength training, all food logged even if it wasn't the most nutritious day (hello cream cake for breakfast  and got the bathroom de-cluttering done.
Weekend Goals (Sat 17th & Sun 18th) are:
    > 8000 Steps
    > De-cluttering Basement Storage (Landlord coming over to collect old tenants stuff).

    > Deep Clean Kitchen

Saturday steps as at 10pm 11371.
Basement Storage cleared out and re-organised.
Pruned and fed my little toms so hopefully they'll rally a bit.
Gave the Kitchen a good clean and clear out.
Then helped the OH clear out some stuff at his place so had a pretty productive day all round.

Planning to do my food prep for the week ahead tomorrow, which I've pre-logged already, followed by the Nerd Fitness Video. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I will chalk up today as a much needed celebration of good progress. We went shopping for the cruise, ended up at the casino, which led to the casino buffet for dinner. I am daunted by trying to figure out the calories. I will make the best guesstimate I can and get back on the train tomorrow.

Well I came up with 3000 calories, probably an overestimate but better over then under I guess. As long as it is an overestimate O was still below my maintenance today, so no damage done.

Try not to think of it as getting on or off anything. Just call it a maintenance day (unless you have a better term) and consider it part of your plan.

Anyway it sounds like you had fun and hopefully you got some good food.

Shark week had me pretty fatigued so chose to nap over doing the stretching video so that's on my list for sometime this week, maybe Tuesday night. Spent Saturday night at OH's place so didn't get the green area sorted, it's for some Pine trees he's growing and he hasn't sorted them out yet so no harm. Blitzed the kitchen which helped me achieve my steps. A pretty good weekend all round.

Almost done with a 12 hour fast, gotta get some blood work done before my checkup tomorrow. I hate fasting!
    - get blood work done and eat something
    - 12k steps
    - log food accurately
    - Did I say eat something?

Easing back into work this week after nearly three months off. I have a fellowship proposal due at the beginning of October and I need to move forward with it this week. My plan for today:
-spend 1 hour on my proposal draft
    -first real work meeting
-email advisors (most dreaded thing on this list!)
-eat within the lower range of my daily calories
-walk (even if it’s only 5 min). I may practice asking family or friends to go on a walk with me.

One big change I’m working on is telling people what I need (like a walk). I used to bottle everything up (and I mean every single thing) and deal with it by binge eating in private. My surgery has forced me to talk about my needs (you have to be demanding and inconvenience people when you start bleeding uncontrollably), and besides the long term physical benefits, may be the best thing I’ve learned from this experience. Funny thing, no one seems to be burning with resentment to find out that I need things just like they do. 😂

That pretty much describes my binge eating and that opening up and asking people for help or just talking to them isn't as scary as I thought. Maybe for me it's because I am now around the right sort of people, who look at life more positively whereas before I was surrounded by negativity.

    For Today:
    • Stay within budget, don't eat after 8pm.
    • Couch to 5k Week 2 Day 3 (done!)
    • 8,000+ steps
    • Retire the majority of my 4x shirts / larger pants in closet, box them up and bring them up to the attic.

Why not send the clothes to charity? After all you're not going to need them again are you....?

That's exactly what I did last time and it was pretty costly to replace. I'm going to give it a little time so I feel more confident, then do that.

I ebayed all mine and spent the proceeds in the sales. I try not to pay full price for anything at the moment as I'm hoping not to fit them for very long.

    That's great!
I did give some of my first batch to charity, bigger clothes always seem in short supply.

@NovusDies --- not 1800 now. With regular fasting I am now at 2000 cal/day, sometimes more. Now entering third week of this, down 3.5lbs and lost an inch off my waist last week. So, more calories, better weight loss. Whodathunkit?
