Hi All:
Had a really great day today...fasted for 19 hrs and then had two meals today...went a little over on my calories, but exercised a lot today with all the walking I did, so I'm still under. I'm trying to do 1600 cal a day during the week and on the weekends do two meals a day fasting from dinner on Fri night to lunch on Sat and the same for Sat into Sun. My exercise plan is to do my 7k a day, all seven days. I want to see how this works for me. This past week was ok, but not picture perfect, so I'll probably see a little bit of a gain this week. I didn't put all this weight on overnight, so I'm looking big picture and not letting it freak me out. My diet soda intake is down to only one or two a week. I am proud of my progress mentally because I could easily get depressed and eat everything in sight. THIS plan is doable.
Hope you guys will back me up. Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself in here because we're all so busy and so many don't respond. I'm open to feedback, as long as it's gentle please.
I hope you're all having a great weekend! I'm jealous that @DreaRN15 is in Jamaica!! Those awesome steel drums! Hope you're having a blast gal! She's walking her buns off too (probably dancing to that wonderful music!) because I'm having trouble keeping up with her on our fitbit challenges! My neighbor leaves for a cruise this coming week. I told her next year, I want to be adopted and go too! LOL WTG on your big loss this week @Arc130 ...AWESOME! Proud of you... @kmfeig87 I hope you're having a great week, filled with support and love from everyone around you as you get family off to school and settled. I'm praying for you as you begin making decisions about your health dear! @SaraMakingChanges with your thirst for life, I'm sure those few pounds were planned as you enjoyed the dog days of summer before it drifts into fall, so they'll come off soon! Are you a Fitbit user? I'd like you to add me if so (jakrall@cox.net is my email)...anyone else with Trimstones can add me to, just send me an IM to let me know you're doing so. I get requests from strangers a lot and don't add them unless I know, so just say HEY! @kateberard LOVE your pictures...post anytime... @mulecanter We need a new dog story...just sayin! @brysonlights I want to be like you when I grow up!! I envy your energy...amazing and inspiring! If I left anyone out, holler at me...I'm sure to holler back!

@jessicakrall8 I also gave up diet soda. Diet soda by far is the hardest habit to kick. Been drinking water and black coffee only for over a month and I still crave diet soda like a crack addict. I’m determined to kick the habit though. For me, I am convinced, the artificial sweeteners make me crave real sweets more and create too much temptation to jump off the wagon. Everyday I am struggling not to take a sip of Diet Coke or diet mt dew, my drugs of choice. It pains me to order “just water” in a restaurant. But I know this is the change I need to make it easier for me to say no to other sugars. I have realized that diet soda was my “gateway drug”. And in case you were wondering Reece’s cups are my heroine. After reading several articles on food addiction one of the suggestions was to write down a list of trigger foods, foods that I go to first when I cheat my diet, the ones that I say “well since I blew my diet let’s go get _____ and I’ll start my diet again tomorrow”. It sounds dumb but ever since I made that list I know what sets me off and those foods I avoid at all costs cause now I realize that one bite of any of those foods and I will tailspin into a huge binge. It’s actually helped a lot. Diet soda is at the top of my trigger foods list now, which in the past I justified as my one pleasure when dieting.
On another note, I weigh in tomorrow and am extremely nervous I didn’t lose or may have gained... we will see what the morning brings.5 -

Well there it is... defeat... 3 pound gain this week despite 5 7 mile days on the treadmill. My diet wasn't as good, I kinda felt like I was eating more, though all healthy stuff. Feeling pissed off and frustrated this morning. I will get back on the treadmill today and push forward but I will be bitter about it. Really need to start logging my food again I suppose. Trying hard not to beat myself up, I know this is the right path. Just sucks!3

I have decided to replace sodas with tea. I only add honey or lemon no sugar. Hopefully it will help me kick the sodas for good (my guilty pleasure). Of course I will also drink a lot more water that way I don’t get thirsty and reach for the bad stuff.1

I liked your idea...I love tea as well, but I find I'm too lazy to make a pitcher and have ready. When I switched from regular sodas years ago (because my Mom was diabetic), I took six months and used crystal light to make the transition. Now, when I eat out, I usually order unsweetened tea with my meals. At home I drink bottled water and add a squirt of crystal light. Would love to get away from the artificial sweeteners, but can't handle the taste of plain water...

I'm thinking your 5 lb loss from the previous week is readjusting...and it's probably a little bit of the non-logging as well. Portions always get me unless I count or measure stuff, which DOES get old. I use MFP to log my food and that saves me. I haven't been a saint last week, but I've planned for this next week and will stick to that plan and see what happens.
Hope you have a great week!

Hey Marni, please try to send me a message if you're going to be out of town on your weigh day. I've asked the Mods to switch your NWI to a late weigh in LWI, but your previous weight was 218.5 so nice loss to 214! Jess0 -

With camping, and last weighin being pre-camping, it's not too bad. I haven't been able to get back to my regular schedule. Will aim at OMAD this upcoming week, with keto. It's been harder than I thought. I just have to be hard on myself.3 -
@jessicakrall8 all the walking was necessary with all the food I ate😂😂 I had a blast and now it's time to go home...next up, Punta Cana!!3

Baby shower today for a cousin then heading out to the state fair for a concert. Everything fried and on a stick! I go with my mom and sister and we usually split food between us so we can try more. Deep fried Snicker's and onion blossoms are my go-to fair foods. Good thing it only comes around once a year and I only go one day.

@jessicakrall8 I have the same problem with water. Sometimes I just need a little flavor. I have started putting a tea bags in a jug of water in the fridge and leave it over night that way it is cold brewed and i don’t have to worry about finding time to set up a pitcher and boil the water and stuff.1

Week 4 Challenge from Shrinking AssetsThis week is going to be about what makes us happy or thankful. Let’s make a list of those items. But how long is the list going to be? Well, it’s all about your age. Add the 2 numbers of your age together. For example, I am 55, so 5+5=10. My list will have 10 things that make me happy or thankful. Everyday take a few items from your list and share it with the your teammates.0

Sorry it was late but my weigh in will depend on my new shifts and I need to see how they will work out .. I try to make the Thursday class but that is at night and if I am backshift then I need to attend the next possible class that i can .. maybe I should leave this challenge page as i try to weigh in as near to it as possible so it might not always be my first priority as I also have a lot of personal things going on at the moment and I dont want to cause further inconvenience ..

Hey Marni, certainly don't want you to leave, dear, but perhaps choose a day of the week that works better for your weigh in day, that matches with your schedule. The moderators do their stats on Sunday mornings, so if we don't know and let them know of a late weigh in, or someone on vacation, out of town on business, etc, then they count it as either an NWI (no weigh in) or LWI (late weigh in). In this case, I didn't know anything until you posted, but I had them switch it from NWI to LWI and all is good. I wanted to let you know for next time that if you can just shoot me a message, I'll plug in your info for you and let the Mods know what's going on. Probably seems a little invasive, but they have to have some guidelines to keep the group functioning.
We all certainly understand that "things go on" for everybody...so I'm willing to help you out, but in order to do so, you have to let me know with a 1 minute email.
Hope you have a great week ahead, don't sweat the small stuff and watch that weight continue to drop! You're doing great!
