I'm stopping at 2 pairs of jeans, I have 2 pairs of athletic shorts, 2 pairs of pull on linen type shorts (navy and khaki) and the jean shorts. I have 2 sweatshirts, including one local hockey team related (we have half season tickets), 3 tank tops, 1 flannel button down, 1 pair of sweatpants, 2 tshirts for my NHL team and like 4-5 other t-shirts. Also, 2 pairs of scrubs. 2 bras, 2 sports bras and 9 pairs of undies (I just opened 3 packs in a new size. That and a hockey jersey is the entirety of my current wardrobe. The plan is to have it carry me through to spring at a minimum. Much of it was bought discount/clearance or at least very reasonably priced.

Good for you for planning it out! I just bought (on sale) on whims. Only thing that might muddy the waters is a surprise invitation to a wedding or more formal event.

I played with fire today! Had an annoyingly early appointment this morning at 8:30. Of course couldn't get to sleep last night…then had a crazy wonderful flying dream just before I woke up that I just couldn't shake for the longest time. Pouring rain. So I quickly got out the door, called a cab, didn't feed furry one or myself (not even a tea) and got to the appointment on time. By the time I left I had a headache beginning from being a bit dehydrated.

Stopped at the grocery store on the way home 🔥

Stopped for clementines then added greens, a beautiful cucumber, cherry tomatoes and a brick of mozzarella cheese that was on sale.

    WOOHOOOOOOO :)

Yesterday I did a bit of desk/computer work for the first time in a very long while. Can't see clearly enough to do any design/editing type work - but this was to help a friend/mentor/client to update their CV - which I've been working on for years so know it and them well enough to be useful.

But - my poor brain! After 3 hours I felt like I had pulled an all-nighter. Had that exhausted/starving/burnt out/almost a headache but not quite brain feel. And when I finally had to walk away because my eyes were closing in self-defense (I wish that was hyperbole - but they really were - I'd gone from serious squinting to barely seeing through my eyelashes 😆)

So I put on my boots, it was cold out here yesterday, and took the pup for a walk. Craving. Craving. Craving a chocolate bar. Which is something I don't usually crave unless it has been a very long brain work slog. Brain needed some quick glucose.

We walked over to my cousin's house, about fifteen minutes away (a very lazy walk) thinking maybe I could score some chocolate there. But as I sat waiting while he bubbled some water for tea I saw a lovely bunch of bananas.

A banana did the trick perfectly! Brain was very happy. Didn't need chocolate :) That perhaps has broken a lifelong habit/routine.

Hope my cousin doesn't mind when I stop by late at night because I need some brain food :) The variety stores are a good resource for chocolate bars but not usually bananas.

7-11s now have bananas and apples (and grapes and apples with grapes). Expensive ($20+/kg). But they do. And two boiled eggs. And bag of pickles. And baby bell cheese pack if inclined that way! But cousin's bananas way way more awesome!!!!

Consider not only the weekly/daily deficits but also the "hourly" deficits in combination with discomfort from squinting. I too am dangerous when wrapping up something that has had me distracted for hours

I live in a 7-11 free zone - thank goodness :) And the car is still parked. I'm pretty certain I will gift it to someone else soon. Rather than feeling deprived not being able to drive - I'm quite enjoying having my old life back. Being able to quickly drive to pick up tasty treats did not agree with my thin life master plan :) So cousin's bananas it will have to be :) And he is probably the one I will be gifting the car to so it is a fair trade! (or so he will think, not knowing I'm relieved not having a car.)

I actually do have whole sagging, overlapping lower belly pooch, and my whole abdomen is squishy and sad, with my belly button lower than it ought to be. The suit has a very flattering fit. Also, yeah, I tan super easy, especially for a freckly blue eyed person. My belly is the color of milk, lol.

The lift is broken at work - I walked up 2 flights of stairs and didn't collapse!

woohoo Jackie! Stairs are great exercise…. Any chance you could do that a few times a week? At least it’s exercise with a purpose unlike my treadmill.

That suit doesn't show any of that, Nic! I was thinking that maybe you have had some surgery that we didn't know about :) You look fantastic.

Stairs - oh I don't like them - especially coming down. Good for you, Jackie. Great idea, PAV.

I must admit I hadn't thought of that but now you mention it then yes I could, it's an easy win and one that I will see improvements on.
