I work in the public school as a speech and language pathologist so we are asking to prepare work virtually for our students. This is NEW so I am learning as I go and I have 40 students with an average of at least two goals that I need to figure out how they can do it on their own while making sure that I am not overwhelming the parent.

One of the meetings lay-offs were spoken about so that had me feeding my anxiety with food. Not a good reaction

@Kin59vara Hi! I'm an SLPA at a public school and we are trying to figure out how to deliver services to kids at home, super stressful! (I'm graduating with my masters and will be an SLP soon. I just found out our hooding/commencement was canceled. I've definitely been eating way too many calories as I try to process what it all looks like going forward!)

Welcome to the profession, it is a great one. I am 41 years as a speech and language pathologist. I have worked in a variety of settings but always with pediatrics. I worked at a University for twelve years part-time with graduate students. This is the first year that I am not. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Do you have your clinical hours?

I know why. I have set up a schedule for myself to get back to a more healthy routine including diet, exercise, and sleep.

Good grief! I've put on almost 8 pounds in 2 weeks! I have got to get my eating under control.

My sleep pattern is all upside down as we keep having late-night work Zoom meetings. I am an early to bed early to rise person so I have a hard going to sleep after a meeting. We start distance learning this morning and I am angry that I worked 2 days straight on the plans that I made and I got woken up from my sleep from someone that had not started. Then, of course, they will not get it done so a principal said it will be a couple of days for these plans to go into place, NOT FAIR.

I need to let it go..... I can appreciate that some people are going to have a hard time with the technology and I am glad to help BUT just like what we would expect from kids you CAN"T start a big project the night before it is due. Sorry, just had to vent in a safe place.
