How is everyone?
I am doing okay. I am really working on what I want from myself. It is sooooo easy to fall into a pool of laziness. I don't want that to be how I spend all of my isolation.
I feel like I am fighting just to keep myself moving and try to make some positive changes. I am making a commitment to exercise in some way for 30 minutes a day and keep my body moving!4 -

Thursday weigh-in
PW: 121.1
CW: 119.4
The doctor finally figured out what was wrong with me last Thursday. I had surgery on Good Friday and came home on Easter night. I had a small tumor partially blocking my small intestine (small bowel.) Pathology due back soon.
Although I've lost some weight because I didn't eat for 2 days, and was on liquids only for a while, I don't think the drop will last for long. I'm on a very low fiber diet for a few weeks. That means avoiding a lot of veggies and fruit, avoiding high fiber low carb breads and wraps, and having to eat things like pasta, rice, regular bread, etc. And no exercise other than short walks for a while. That's all exactly the opposite of what I've been doing for the last 2 years. Sooooo.... we'll see what more challenges this brings me. At least there's no more pain when I eat.7 -

Not doing too well. As you know, our stay @ home order is now extended until 5/26...
I don't know whether to cry or go into depression or what? My motivation has just flown out the window....
I'm in a total funk right now....sigh....🙁1 -
@LaurieWrobo, I know this time of year is hard enough- getting snow after you had summerlike weather. Try to enjoy the gifts, no matter how small or short-lived. Remember the "why" you are pursuing better health and the "who" it will affect. I want to live a long life and one that's as unrestricted as possible. I want to age well and be as independent as I can. That means I have to make better choices now to enjoy the benefits later.
I suggest you enlist friends and family to encourage you, and "hold your feet to the fire" so to speak. MFP has a lot of challenges/groups/blogs that can help out. Tone It Up and Blogilates have a loving community, as well as good workouts/blogs. Some of us are leaning on our faith, as I am. I'm part of a (now online) church and home group that meets regularly. Whoever you need to help you stand, seek them out. Be that person to others too.
I think @guitargirl55 is wise when she says she needs to figure out her goals during this isolation. This is new to most of us. We can revisit and revise our goals as needed. I think smaller and simpler is best for me right now. Why don't you journal your thoughts and see where that leads? By the way, I had a good cry today, and I feel better. Oh yeah, the flower of the day is an orange and pink bougainvillea- a combo I hadn't seen before. A nice surprise.

I am ok with that. I think I was dehydrated last week anyway. It’s been a busy week with having to shop for a new refrigerator, trying to make masks and having to hit several stores while foraging for food. I still didn’t get everything on my list, but it’s a start.
I’m feeling almost back to normal and have resumed most of my exercise. Had to push arm day to tomorrow but I feel like I’m missing it when I don’t do it so that’s a good thing. But I’ve gotten lazy with my journaling and I really have to recommit to that this week!2 -

@bigblues11, you're rockin' it! Well done and keep doing what you're doing. You'll be in the winner's circle again!
I struggled through an aerobic workout today, feeling kinda sloppy- not my best effort. It counts as a win nonetheless. I managed a little walk around the block, and still found a nice little plot of blooms. Here's a little sunflower that brightened my day. I'm going to have to take a different route soon to get some different flowers

Wow, I just can't get my head on straight, working from home is such an adjustment, and I never turn work off. I have been sitting more and moving less, food readily available for snacking. Just found out that I may be working from home through end of May. I seriously need to get into a routine. Key for me is working out, I eat better, sleep better and see faster progress. I have time to work out, I am not driving to and from work, I can fix healthy meals. I have more time to give to myself then I ever have before. I don't want to go back to work feeling flabby and overweight, I want to feel strong and energetic. Ok that was my pep talk to myself. I need something to click in my head and make it happen.3 -

Whew what a week!!!! I’m glad to put this one behind me. I had a binge for a couple days and drank one day... this threw my head for a loop.
After publicly posting my struggles - my original accountability partner reached out. She and I lost about 100 lbs total together a few years ago. We both suck and gained it back... but we are ready to do it again!!!!
We have been in daily communication like we were before and I feel back on track.
My loss is 1.7 lbs short of what my nerd sheet says it should be, but I’m ok with that. End of March I was over 3 lbs lower than it said so I guess it all washes out in the long run.

Wow, @The MrWobbly, what a spread! I'm glad we can "get all fancy" every once in a while. I brought out my china a couple of times to make things special. I'll probably do that again tonight. I might even dress up and make it like a date night! Miss @suzyjmcd2, I'm glad you're feeling better and have some irises on the way. In honor of your lack of tummy issues, I introduce today's flower photo op, some purple and white irises blooming their little hearts out!

@SheilaCali another shout out for the beautiful pictures to brighten up our thread. Thank you!
@TheMrWobbly wow! Looks amazing....!
@boehle hugs to you. Be kind to yourself while life is so hectic.
@Be_theBest_Me whoop to the revised number! I feel your struggle to get to the 160s albeit mine is 10lbs higher than yours!
@ScottyTheGent and @bigblues11 well done on the losses
Another new week in the challenge and another chance to chop away at making good choices in this crazy reality.....
I did my batch cooking yesterday and had my test meal for the week, kfc. Something i would rarely eat and never order in..... but had a real craving for it so fed the craving and enjoyed every mouthful!
Today I need to plan out my meals and exercise for next week.
Hows everyone doing?
4 -
Steps for last week..... I struggled a lot in the middle of the week.... working from the moment I'd drunk coffee until bedtime and really struggled to move.
This week I will put my exercise as a priority and make time for it even when work goes crazy.2 -
