My fat jeans are officially retiring today. I attempted to wear yesterday while I was mowing and I was literally showing my @$$. I was lazy when I came in to change and just tossed on the foot if the bed. This morning I put them on for a quick grocery run - again tugging constantly. They are being laundered and put in the goodwill bag! Adios my friend!
I have 17 pairs of jeans in my closet ranging from 10-16. I’m going thru them today and sort by sizes.
LET’S WHAT FITS!!!7 -

Organised!
Yes, one of the benefits of losing the excess weight is being able to reclaim old/new clothes. A secret pleasure of life is wearing each pair until they are too baggy and you have to downsize. So satisfying2 -
Breakfast is ready. Lunch is still under works

Sorry I was MIA last week. Easter monday/public holiday threw me out a little, plus I put on a bit of weight despite my commitment to lose it (chocolate is my weakness! even if it's 85% dark!), and just had a bit of a low energy, low motivation, week where I let a few things slip.
On the bright side, maybe a bit of a 'holiday' from normal routine was what I needed. This week I feel extra motivated and back on top of things.
Yesterday I had an awesome run where I enjoyed it for the first time in ages, and this morning I did a double workout of HIIT & yoga. Meal plan & shopping is organised for the next two weeks in advance, I have a list of exciting new fermentation recipes to try this week, I've established germination tests on a range of seeds in my kitchen (popcorn, chia, chick peas, sesame seeds, peanuts etc) to see what I can use to sprout or grow as microgreens, and growing offcuts on my windowsill (carrot tops, lettuce, cabbage) seeing as I suck as an outdoor gardener - indoor gardening seems a lot easier without the pests to avoid!
I hope you're having a good week!2 -
It's great to see that we still have some victories and motivation among us! @Beka3695, congrats on your (pants) retirement! I've got a loose pair on myself, but they were perfect for gardening. I'm looking forward to fitting in some 10's soon. The scale isn't going down, but I'm feeling a little tighter for a change. It wasn't too long ago when it felt like someone had stuffed a bunch of TP in my jeans when I wasn't looking. Um, yeah, those were my buns. I decided to throw in a "fake" bloom today, as there are a lot of cool metal flowers displayed around here as well. Everyone have a great and healthy week ahead!

It is so frustrating to be going the wrong direction when I felt like I had finally sorted out how to manage the stress of being alone at home and still working out.
Hopefully it is water weight and next week is better.3 -

Something for chatter....
During this journey, what food have you looked up the calories on and thought "THAT IS NOT WORTH IT" and skipped, or logged after the fact and it blew your whole daily allowance?
Adeline's leftover alfredo...
I was about to have leftovers from the fridge for lunch. I microwaved, took one bite then logged to see the dish would be +500 calories. I knew alfredo was calorically expensive, but not worth +500 calories! I am logging 50 cal for the bite - JIC and the rest just went down the disposal!!!
I'll trade for an egg sandwich5 -

Last night, a friend and myself went for a walk. It was very needed. I got over 6 miles and we found a community garden as well as a bee hive6

I am pretty stressed this week and emotionally drained. I have had 2 distant family members die from COVID-19 in the past two weeks. I was not personally close to them, but I would be lying if I said it didn't hit me hard.
I am bored and scared and lonely, but honestly I know I am lucky just to still have a job, and know where my next meal is coming from.
That being said, I am doing pretty well on my commitment to work out. I am eating well and tracking calories. I am really leaning into dieting and working out right now because it is something I can control.
I can't wait for things to go back to normal!7 -
I have a bottlebrush bush in my yard, a birthday present to myself last year. This is a plant I first saw in Italy, and lusted after one for 10 years. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to have one here in the US. Now that I live in SoCal, my gardening dream has come true. I miss the lilacs and peonies, but I am embracing all the new things I can grow here. I just spent 2 hours making loquat jam (again). That's another plant I found in Italy and now have in my garden. The grass isn't greener here, it just grows during winter! CA's climate is so different than WI and NY, the two other states I've lived in. Everybody try and find the unique beauty where you are in this season. Be healthy, all!

Sorry I hve been absent for the last week or so. I have some work and need to nail it. Dealing with people in the US and Australia during their working day is taking the priority and a lot of odd hours. Stay safe and keep smiling 😊2

Why in the world did I step on the scale in the middle of the day? Man, that was depressing. Hoping tomorrow looks better.
I really need to get my butt back in gear and quite just saying it... but damn, I want to blame the cold but my phone says the real feel outside right now is 65.
I have to meet an old coworker at 2pm. I will walk to the location we are meeting.5 -

I wish it was 65 here🙁 it's only 43, and feels like 36.....where is my Spring??🤬🤬🤬0 -
More time spent in the kitchen today, and too sore to workout again. Ugh, I won't even mention the chocolate cake. Oops, guess I did. Well, I'm glad I harvested the broccoli rabe and remaining lemons, but my back is toast. Tomorrow limoncello will be made, and lots of lemonade. Today's lovely flower is a yellow succulent in bloom.

Right, TOM next week and a couple of over indulgent moments on the calendar, but...... I am determined to stay in the 170s from now and slowly but surely chip away to new lows and beyond!6 -
