Good morning team! :) Today is going to be a great day and I am ready to crush this week! I do have a planned indulgence tonight with pizza from my favorite Italian restaurant and a glass or two of red wine. Fifteen years ago my amazing DH and I met on the Internet and my life was NEVER the same. So, we celebrate this day more than our wedding anniversary, which is also another good day to have some wine! I'm going to the grocery store and the rest of the week is planned out with healthy eating. I also plan to work out a little harder and fast a little longer.

PLAN for the WEEK! Stay in the GREEN!!! Help my Team stay motivated so we crush our goals and rise to the top of the leaderboard. WE CAN DO IT!!!

@its_cleo I like the chickpea blondies, my husband is meh about them yet he ate them for breakfast yesterday so what's that tell you? ;) They are easy to make. Congrats on the loss! I'm getting cabin fever, too.

    @cesse47 Yay! Congratulations!!!! WOot WOot!

@TeresaW1020 Oh the pressure to be in charge of hosting the Zoom meeting! I'm sure you'll do great, though! :) Happy anniversary of meeting your hubby! I hope you enjoy the pizza and the wine.

@Katmary71 Thanks for the link to Rocky's video, I'd not seen it. I might try it, I was planning on doing a Leslie video today. re: the burgers...yes, and I reheated mine in my air fryer the next day and got it sort of crispy on the outside which was very pleasing to the taste. So, if you don't have an air fryer, I would recommend trying to get it crispy in the oven if you can. The inside won't get crispy like Boca or Morningstar burgers, it will be mushy still, but you should be able to get a sort of crisp on the outside. I hope you like them!

Hello everyone! Happy Monday. I went over last night on my points but boy was it was worth it: we were scheduled to have an on-plan meal, but when I told my husband what we were having he made a face that told me he wasn't into that so I said, "Would you rather have steak?" The little ethnic market near us sells filet mignon for $7.99 a lb, which is an incredible price. I made filet mignon with a blue cheese butter, lyonnaise purple potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. I am not negative in my points for the week, I still have weekly points, and I also still have FitPoints. I will also plan to work out most days this week to make up for this hedonistic meal.

    Calories: over/under: over
    Water: over/under under
    Exercise: rest day
Goals or Improvements for tomorrow: YouTube video of some sort, but 52+ oz of water.

Happy Monday! I had a good weekend eating and exercise wise. My steps were not as good this week, but it has been raining and so I have been doing work out videos instead of walking. @TeresaW1020--- You are really making me smile with all your positive comments. I think you are going to lose this week! But even if you don't- make sure you take credit for all the good work you put in. @raleigh_girl Thank you so much for the quote tips!

@bethanie0825 yeah water is really important. It can really have an impact on performance, mood, skin.

@katmary71 yes it's hard to fit everything in. It's my biggest challenge.

@TeresaW1020 happy day you met anniversary! Sounds like a very nice dinner.

@trooworld that also sounds like a great dinner. Groceries for me the end of the week and I really want to try to come up with some nice meals.

Well- yesterday exercise on track. I did a total of 2 hours plus, different things.

-Strength training on my own. I tried a Sydney Cummings video and it was ok but I had to swap out most of the exercises, and she had mixed in cardio and core which I didn't want. So I basically did my own workout. Then I went for a walk in the evening. (Stairs were in the am).

-Today I went for a run (run/walk intervals) that was about 45 mins total. I was supposed to do some core or mobility stuff today but I feel kind of beat.

Food- was over by like 100 yesterday bc I had some ice cream. On the bright side I wanted to make a whole ice cream sundae with whipped cream, nuts, chocolate syrup, and so on, but I just stuck with the ice cream so it wasn't too bad.

Ah, a week past the job thing and I have better perspective and outlook - not perfect but I'll take progress over perfection, and less awful physical anxiety in the pit of my tummy. =>

Did dance vids in my living room today, it was amazing! I'll be doing them more, working on daily. If I can do that for 30 or so minutes and take my walks, I'll be upping the burn and continuing to give all the stress hormones a kick in the tail on oooouuuutttttaaaa HERE!! Be gone, devil! Haha, I might be crackin'.......

@trooworld and @apple852hk fantastic weigh in!!! NICE!!
@trooworld thanks for sharing the blondie recipe, I MUST try these!
@mlhopp93 excellent loss and a great goal to have!! =>
@bethanie0825 your coworker sounds like a hoot and great inspiration! And I am inspired by your running - still babying the hip but it's improving and I'm excited to get back and do it! Going to take a cue from you and not do it on back to back days - even though I want to, but it's not worth being in pain and having to back off for so long.
@mrmcgrath great weigh in, you are really doing well in the long haul!!! =>
@Katmary71 I'm so curious now, I'm going to try your frozen berries trick. I have frozen fruit for smoothies, which I have not had in a while, but I can imagine that just having them in a bowl, half frozen would be so good! And the stash of herbs you have would make a fantastic scrub - Rosemary/Lavender/Ginger salt scrub with olive oil would be a great spring and summer scrub!!
@trooworld SHAZAM, way to rock the weekly points with a super yummy dinner - it sounds pretty fantastic and I love the flexibility for you to have them where they count most and scale back another day
@TeresaW1020 we also celebrate the 'meetaversary' and ours is 19Apr2009! We also celebrated with some order in calzone and wine!! We're in sync!
@nbbaby very nice weigh in, way to go!!
@its_cleo congrats on the great weigh in and YAY for a delicious and sane ice cream treat!! I'd rather have the scaled back version and feel good about it on a thousand different levels than one blow out and feel crummy I made the Chana Masala and it turned out great - it's on plan for tomorrow and I'll make the Sweet Potato Roti to go with it....I swear, the masala and bread combo just really does it for me. Have never made Roti before but we're forging ahead!

    Hope everyone is well

I have been so off these last few weeks working from home and they expect another 30 days of this. Oh boy!! I keep meaning to log in but with working from home, the stress with buying my very first home and packing up what's goes to Goodwill, trash and with me has been crazy. I want to live as simple as possible. No unnecessary things. Using my VA home loan after I have been out for over 20 years. Wish I had used it back when the kids were younger but for some reason was never interested in buying. I am so over renting.
Took a vacation day today just to reboot.

@TeresaW1020 Happy Anniversary! I love your enthusiasm, gave me a big smile. Sounds like you're starting the week off real well, wtg!

    @nbbaby yay, 1lb down!

@its_cleo as you can guess trying to streamline my workouts is an issue for me too! HASFit has good strength training, my weights are light but they're good at adding burn out exercises like diamond push ups to triceps and do compound exercises so even light weights do something. Their website has non-equipment workouts.

@raleighgirl09 Great idea about a body scrub! I decided to wait as the lavender is still blooming. Definitely post good dance videos! I started the day off trying to imitate the dancers on Soul Train to a favorite song then did half my cardio as dance videos. I was determined to do things that make me smile after feeling kind of down yesterday and it helped.

@wrknonmedaily Glad you're taking a vacation day, it sounds like you need it. Nice loss!

@trooworld I recommend the videos Austin posted yesterday, Body Project, Billy Blanks, and the Rocky one I did today and they were all good.

    Monday check-in
Calories- under, have a lot of calories left but I'm stuffed, I walked around while talking on the phone and burned a ton of calories
Exercise- cardio, upper body, abs, yoga
    Water- over

    Habits
    Cardio 30 minutes- done
    Weights- 1 upper
    Yoga/core- done
Recipe- decided to do something different with the ginger and it's currently being salted overnight to finish pickled ginger.
    10,000 steps- done

I got a box of produce sold by the farmer's market yesterday and used the Swiss chard in a huge stir-fry for dinner and had that along with cherry balsamic vinegar brussel sprouts. Enchiladas are on hold until I get through more produce. Had a better day than yesterday, stayed busy and did lots of dancing videos which made me smile.

Yesterday wasn’t a bad day but I ate way too much carbs and the scale showed it today. Thank goodness my official weigh in day isn’t till Friday. I have time to correct it. My weekly average is still lower than last week’s so that is a positive. Yesterday, I helped my husband put out fertilizer on the hay field, so I did not do my 30day yoga challenge. Not good since I am only on day 2. However, I did do some dumbbell exercises later in the evening.

@Katmary71 One of my all-time favorite cookbooks, The Passionate Vegetarian by Crescent Dragonwagon, includes a recipe for Beans and Greens Enchiladas. So maybe you can fit some of those veggies (leftover chard?) into enchiladas? Just an idea!
    https://threecleversisters.wordpress.com/2009/01/27/black-beans-greens-enchiladas/

@Jactop - Hurray for staying steady this week! I know you are eying Onederland, and you WILL get there. Keep on chipping away at it!

@wrknonmedaily - Wow, you have a LOT going on. Hurray for getting that home. That's huge. Thanks for checking in. We are glad to hear from you. The dust from moving will settle soon, and you will have more time to refocus on health. In the mean time, hang in there!

@raleighgirl09 - I love that you, too, are doing dance videos! And you wrote some great words of wisdom for all of us:
... I'll take progress over perfection, and less awful physical anxiety in the pit of my tummy.
A great way to be with ourselves and with everyone else in our lives.

@its_cleo - Boom! Two hours of exercise. You are doing amazing!
    I found this super inspiring:
Food- was over by like 100 yesterday bc I had some ice cream. On the bright side I wanted to make a whole ice cream sundae with whipped cream, nuts, chocolate syrup, and so on, but I just stuck with the ice cream so it wasn't too bad.
    What a great choice! Seriously!

    @nbbaby - What a great weigh-in! Congratulations!

@Cornanda - You have such a warm, positive attitude. You are so great about having gratitude be present. When you thank people (you thanked @TeresaW1020 and @raleighgirl09 in the comment I am responding to), I feel grateful to them, to you, and I am reminded to have gratitude be present in the rest of my life. Anyway, thanks!

@trooworld - Hurray you for that hedonistic meal and having it work in your week! (Oh, and great shopping mojo. That price for filet mignon is amazing!)

@TeresaW1020 - Thanks for reminding us all that this week is a fresh start!

I now feel even more inspired to get in movement today, and Tuesdays are an easy day for me to not get so much done.

Outside walking is great; just be careful to keep to that "6+ feet away" social distancing rule.

@its_cleo It really was. I hope you find the groceries you need for the meals you want! Great job on the exercise and saying no to all the toppings on the ice cream. ;)

@raleighgirl09 Thank you! Yeah, the blondie recipe is worth trying if you have the ingredients. I did enjoy that dinner and you know, I did scale back yesterday to make up for it! :)

@Katmary71 Thanks, I'll check it out. A stir fry for dinner sounds amazing! I'm glad you had a better day.

@AustinRuadhain Thanks for that quote, that's great! Yes, that was an amazing price for filet! Have a great day.

Hello everyone! After my hedonistic meal the night before, yesterday I was careful to stay very near my points for the day (I get 25 a day, I only went over by 2). I had a light soup for lunch and I had Grilled Balsamic Chicken Cobb Salad for dinner. I would have been under my points had it not been my sweet tooth that got me and I had one of my Flourless Chocolate Chip Chickpea Blondies for dessert. :( That, and a wine spritzer. But over by 2 is not the end of the world and I still have weekly points and FitPoints. I did a 2-mile Leslie Sansone video yesterday that got my blood pumping, I liked it a lot.

    Calories: over/under: over
    Water: over/under over
Exercise: Leslie Sansone 2 Mile Walk
Goals or Improvements for tomorrow: YouTube video of some sort, 52+ oz of water.

Good afternoon Team! :) It’s a gorgeous day here so DH and I got out and did a little work to reorganize our garage. We still need to wash all the pollen crusted on our patio furniture but I’m waiting for it to get a little warmer before playing in the water. I did overindulge last night with our anniversary dinner but I’m back on plan today and had a good workout and tracked my points today. :) My state, Georiga, is said to start reopening up some business starting this Friday. It makes me nervous because we are still high on the list of states more affected by this terrible virus. So, my little family is NOT going to rush out to rejoin the world and will let others go first. I am all for getting back to life but I don’t want to be a Guinee pig and I really don’t want my DH or mom to be put at risk. We shall see! Stay safe my friends! <3

    Tuesday check in

Hi all!! Had a wonderful day! Dance vids, a long walk and a long bike ride for exercise! Getting plenty of sleep these days and had about double on water!! Did food prep - uhhhhh - Roti is both simple and hard to execute - but results were so delish! Made some hummus today as well and had to use my extra chick peas in the (now large vat of) hummus because I over salted and had to add to the batch. Ugh! I have a can of chick peas that I can possibly use for the Blondies recipe but hubby doesn't want to eat sweets and I now have 4 more Roti to eat - and a leftover partial sweet potato. I'm thinking, save the blondies for another day and make a tiny amount of no sugar sweet potato cheesecake-kinda-thingy and roll it in a Roti like a cannoli. Yeah. I'm all for supporting the Hub's wishes to not go off of his plan but I kinda wanna make something over here. It's a bit of a tight rope walk but....I can do this!!! (Imagine the Wonder Woman stance and sparks flyin' offa me!!!!)

Much less anxiety again today - I know me and I know I have anxiety ahead because there will be interviews, etc. And I normally interview well (why am I assuming I won't in the future....?) so I need to just practice that and work to not allow outside influences to break my confidence. I actually am good at my job, dammit!!!

But - what if I just ride the anxiety now and don't try to pin it down and make it leave? What if I just watch it laze on by and then turn to something else and see if it will dissipate and be less impactful? I may not be able to control the anxiety and the physical feelings but maybe I can, in turn, not let it control me? Just trying to get some perspective.

@Katmary71 did you already tell us what produce box you get and how you feel about it? It's possible I missed that! I have been online ordering and doing curbside pickup and I like that but wondering if a produce box might also be a good idea - I need to look and see what is available locally
@mrmcgrath I guess I have been watching you from the sidelines for.....about 8 months or so? You're doing well and have such a calm way of going about it and so steady at the race.....I am very inspired by your steadfast progress! I am celebrating you! =>
@trooworld what an excellent way to work the plan - because we can have choices and live while also honoring choices and showing up for us and our goals!! YAY YOU!!!! =>
@TeresaW1020 we also had the most amazing day, here! It was nothing short of the absoLUTE PERFECT spring day!! Hey - what is the mood in GA? Do most Georgians agree with opening or not....? Curious how that strikes the reg'luh folks
@Trlong1308 we'll take it - a loss of any amount is a FABULOUS thing!!! =>
@AustinRuadhain I am in the infancy of dance videos, compared to the veterans here!! I start with this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq7ryQbiSHw

    Then I move to this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCnyD8kgOkk

Back to the first one, Geetar - then this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbhK_SzqkS8

Back to the second one, Love Set Me Free and then this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0GGn5wj0YQ

These all take about 30-35 minutes and allow for some heart pumping and then slow down and heart pumping, slow down and done. I'm a long way from the hard core stuff but this is a good intro into more cardio and mixing it up. I just know I need to step up my game - and I'm ok to do that. ONE. STEP. AT A TIME.

    Love y'alls!!!!!! =>

@raleighgirl09 I love the Super Funk one! My favorite is Another One Bites the Dust by her though I've tried the majority of hers that I can find.

This produce box was through my town's farmer's market, it was $25 and I picked it up at a designated time nearby at a stand, the woman was gloved and masked. I used to get a CSA delivery from an organic farm and loved that but it was already expensive and prices increased so I canceled it. I started Imperfect Produce last summer and loved it at first, you can pick what you want in it and I ordered the medium box every other week. Late Fall I kept getting at least one item that either was bad or went bad in the first couple days so after getting refunds I decided it wasn't worth it and canceled. The price was good but I do at lot of comparison-shopping normally and for the same price I can choose from a bigger amount at the grocery stores. I canceled a couple weeks before all this hit, it would've been nice to have been getting the boxes then but didn't want to re-enroll.

@AustinRuadhain Thank you for the link! I'm embarrassed to admit I stir fried and ate all the Swiss Chard last night so no more greens! I saved the link though, I'm always looking for new bean/legume recipes.

    Wednesday check in

Well clearly I need to go back to a nighttime snack planned as I have been in the night eating mode, still. It's been a while since I struggled so hard to get back to plan (on plan all day - not just until 9:00pm or so). I could blame this or that (you know - pandemic or unemployment) but the truth is, I just need to not say screw it only to find my sneaky way into the kitchen. Last night I dried dishes and put them away so that I could be in the kitchen with the pimento cheese! Just me and the pimento cheese making out like teenagers in a broom closet!!! What the eff! I know the pimento cheese will cheat on me and dump lard on my butt and yet, there I am, having stolen moments that are not good for me!! Ugh! I'm just hoping to maintain from last week, at this point - and I know the answer is just - don't do that. But infantile brain has had full control lately so tonight I have a cereal snack planned for 9:00pm. I gotta start somewhere in regaining some semblance of my more Zen relationship with the hours between 9pm and bedtime.

@Katmary71 it never occurred to me to check and see what I could get from the Farmer's Market as a produce box (kinda a duh moment... =>) but I'm going to check to see if this is an option. I went to the Farmer's Market in Raleigh a few weeks ago and was so glad to be out there with the people and stalls with all the gorgeous goodies that I didn't really mind the gloves, masks and directional arrows. What I like best about the Body Groove dance vids is how she free styles the dancing and gets the booty shaking and jiggling for kicks and exercise!!

YUM on pickled ginger! And - yeah, I am not a fan of IP chicken breasts, either. It does a great job on so many foods but I find the chicken breast less than appealing this way - I'd rather poach slowly with stock and seasonings and then shred and use as my base fr taco meat, chicken salad, etc.

@raleighgirl09 I can just see you now with this huge vat of hummus! ;) I've made too much hummus before, too, and eaten it for way too long haha. I like the way you are thinking through your anxiety. I like the idea of letting it kind of float by (I suffer from pretty bad anxiety too so I can relate). I think this kind of thinking is very helpful. "Just me and the pimento cheese making out like teenagers in a broom closet!!!" HAHAHA! Thank you for this morning's laugh! I think it's a good idea to PLAN a snack since you know you tend to want to snack at night...at least make it a healthy one.

Hello all! My husband stayed home from work yesterday to help take the dog to the vet and then I got nothing done all day, including my exercise video. :( But at least I made us a healthy dinner (Instant Pot Pasta e Fagioli with 2 Ingredient Breadsticks) and drank enough water. Today, I'm home alone so my plan is to drop him off at work and come home and get the exercise out of the way as soon as I get back before I get too hungry to make excuses or get distracted by something else.

    Calories: over/under: over
    Water: over/under over
    Exercise: ----
Goals or Improvements for tomorrow: YouTube video of some sort, 52+ oz of water.

@AustinRuadhain <3:) This made my day!

    @raleigh_girl I DID A QUOTE RIGHT! :)

@raleigh_girl As usual you crack me up with how you describe food issues. You are hanging in there so well with the job stuff- pushing away the worries and focusing on the good. Is it possible to describe how you let anxiety wash over you and float away? It usually grabs me by the throat and hangs on for dear life.
@TeresaW1020- glad you enjoyed your anniversary! Glad you are planning to stay home for awhile when GA opens back up. Stay safe and healthy!
@Katmary71 I've been meaning to say something about your BP. It totally sucks, but it seems in your case, it's something that's out of your control. You are doing all the right things---if you weren't, you'd already be on medication. Keep controlling what you can. :)

Last night I tried out a new form of exercise- Spreading mulch! I got about 3000 extra steps and a decent leg and arm workout. It was nice to be outside!
