Okay @$$ movers, here's the new thread for the April 2020 Move Your @$$ Challenge!

PLEASE READ the directions below.

We welcome all newbies and welcome back to the oldies!

"Rules of the Challenge"
1. Set your goal and post it to the thread....distance ONLY (Miles or KMs) - NO minutes, NO # of workouts, NO # of calories, NO # of steps - DISTANCE ONLY.
2. Make your ticker if you want to use one (see directions below or in the FAQ thread) or add your goal to the thread.
3. Get moving your @$$ starting on the first day of the month.
4. Post as often as you can to the thread so we can keep the sheet (see link below) up to date. You are welcome to report what you are moving each time BUT please make sure you post the TOTAL miles (or kms) moved each time you update.

Please don't post any previous month's miles here. We will continue updating the previous month's spreadsheet using the old thread for approximately the first 5 or so days of the new and current month. Please add only your current month's goals/miles to this thread. Got it? :smiley:

The purpose is to set a distance goal (KM or Miles) and track your distance for the month - please only do one or the other...if you are doing KM just report in KM - we have a formula in the spreadsheet that will convert it to miles for us.

You are challenging yourself, not competing against anyone else.....the distance can be on a treadmill, stairmaster, elliptical, bike, roller blades, walking, running, biking, hiking, swimming (if you can measure).....just set a distance goal and do the work.

Report to the thread often to keep us updated because we track our info on a spreadsheet (see link below) so you can see how you are doing compared to the group but not to openly compete with them. (Whatever goes on inside your own brain is your own business. )

The idea is to set your goal and reach it before the end of the month.

Link to the Google spreadsheet where you can view (but not edit). The Challenge Admins will update it for you at mostly random times.....but typically at least once a day. Don't hold us to that though.

Directions for making a ticker:
Go to either www.lilyslim.com or www.tickerfactory.com and create a Fitness ticker. Then copy the "BB code" and paste it into your posts on this thread each time you do an update. (More detailed info is located in the FAQ thread on the MYAC Group page.)

    I'm in for 40 again! Maybe more if it ever warms up here in Minnesota and I can get out on my bicycle.

    I’m in for 150 miles this month, please. Hopefully I’ll get some normalcy in exercising this month

    I will start this at 50 miles. A mile for every year I have been alive or will be by the end of April.

    I am going to keep the 400 miles. But my mental health disability is starting to get in the way. So I will see what April brings :(

    PS - I tried to make the April spreadsheet page color-matched for Easter. :smiley: Oh, and I also fixed all three of the graphs that hadn't been updated since last December. You guys really ought not let me slide like that! :lol:

    Newbie as well. (Thanks Grandma Jackie for posting! 👍)

    I will set my goal to be 40 miles via walking, paddleboarding or Tony Little gazelle (yes I still have one), as I am just getting back to working out again with a goal of 3-4 days per week.

    Trying to do this from my tablet app, not a computer, so we'll see how it goes for me to remember to update the group. Thanks! 😎

    Please put me down for 65 miles.

    And hubby is getting downgraded to roommate status because he is driving me batty. Our house is spotless, laundry completely up to date, and spring yard work is done. We might even get a garden in. He has only been off for 10 days of his 30 day leave. Gods save my sanity.

    He is also torturing the dogs by getting up at his normal 4:00 am and turning on the television. It is waking them up and completely disturbing our morning routine with unnecessary chatter. He's a morning person. Gidget has been hiding in the bedroom under the blankets. Today Bowzer gave me a *look*, and followed me to the door. All I could do was give him a hug and say I was sorry as I shut the door in his face, poor boxer. He can't hide. :p

    In for 100!
    Today I walked .5 miles, shoveled snow (got 4 or 5 inches), did a FULL Body weightlifting workout AND rode the ex bike 5.5 miles! I am FIGHTING depression with fitness & will win AGAIN!!

    I'm back in but for 100 miles this month. I'm really not sure what my miles are going to look like, as, obviously, gyms are closed, and the weather is just starting to get warm where I can start to bike outside. Weather permitting...I'll see what I can do.

    Got my upstairs walls & ceilings washed (painting is next), did a short step work out (.5 miles) & then rode ex bike 11 miles.
