    Gosh, the weather is incredible today. No sweater needed for a change! I love spring.

    I realized something replacing some clothes. Sitting right on the cusp of plus size and not plus size really limits me to a small number of very expensive items. :/

    I need to drop a couple more sizes, it's too expensive to stay here!

    Tonight is take out night, so I ordered Fatburger. Haven't had them before but I'm just craving a cheeseburger like mad.

    @jugar I got a 35 minute walk in today as well. Yay! It was gorgeous out. Getting a little on the warmer side.

    @KellyBgetsfit Trying to lose while nursing is a big deal. You know your body is burning more calories than the rest of us, but it's also working on making nutrition for your little one. One thought, I'm sure you made sure of this, but are you weighing in before or after nursing? Try to be sure and weigh in AFTER nursing because that is weight for sure. Also, like @jugar said your priority is getting the calories and nutrition you need to make food for your child. Your slight uptick may not be what you want to see, but you know you are doing well and that is the most important thing. As I recall, your little one is still quite young and dependent on a rich, fatty milk. I lost weight when I was still nursing, but he was 2 1/2 and on his way to being weaned and eating table food. Good luck! I know you've got this. Hugs.

    Ahoy! We are just coming out of a power outage that started a few hours ago - it was a lovely peaceful evening, with heavy fog following the heavy rain. Now the peepers are peeping madly and the power just came back. So I can nag the Saturday people, and any other remaining outliers for this week's weigh-ins!

    Heads up for Saturday:
    @Gidgitgoescrazy
    @Terytha
    @Micki48
    @lovethyneighbor
    @matthewsfive
    @RaisedToRamble

    Still due today:
    @Steph1498
    @greywaves

    Late!
    @justinb_83

    Please, as usual, try to have all of these in by the end of the day tomorrow, wherever you live. Absolute time limit is Sunday morning, 8:00 am Eastern time. Hoping to have everyone there by then!

    I've been so tired the last few days, I've noticed since tracking my cycle that during and shortly after ovulation I'm prone to falling asleep accidently on the couch lol darn progesterone. Despite this I've met/exceeded my step goal every day so far this week.

    @micki48 my steps
    5/13: 9,808
    5/14: 6,108
    5/15: 10,698

    I went to a local greenhouse and bought all the vegetable plants for my garden, plus a bunch of seeds, and drew up my plans for it. I'm excited to try growing carrots for the first time this year, I had a fresh carrot at the farmer's market last summer and could not believe how tasty it was.

    I've been managing a calorie deficit every day this week and stsying close to my IF schedule, although today I had some amazing cheesecake made by a friend. Fortunately hubby ate the rest of it so no more of that!

    On days that I work outside getting exercise is no problem. But I need to figure out the days I'm not working out in the yard. I was using the rowing machine but my knee was not happy. All of you and your steps are amazing but that is not something I can do until it sorts out. So something to ponder for tomorrow.

    Not sure if this will help you, but I have found Pilates has helped my tricky knee. I believe it’s because the muscles are now stronger and support the knee better. I’m not an expert though. Anyway, thought it may be something to look into.

    So I just got a Fitbit yesterday and set it up last night. It’s amazing how one little habit can affect my overall fitness. I’m still running my training schedule but I have no motivation otherwise. So strapping on this Fitbit today I’m hoping that will change. Happy Saturday everyone!

    Let us know your name and you can join our friendly challenges. 👟

    Happy Saturday!

    Today, I'm hopefully having a get-together out in a friend's field, everyone in their own folding chair, well distanced, practicing our outdoor voices. It will be so good to see some people other than my husband! We're a group of women who get together at random intervals, after meeting 28 years ago when we all had infants or young kids. Thanks to my midwives who saw that I didn't know anyone with kids and introduced me to this gang of amazing women. I love that we're still getting together, even though it is not as often as it used to be. Hoping it won't rain...

    @jguldi11 - good for you getting plants, seeds, and a plan going! You are right - NOTHING from the store tastes as good as what you can grow. I am getting desperate now that last year's veggies that I froze are gone, and this year's aren't big enough to eat yet. The supermarket veg is tasteless so much of the time. Our local farms are starting to supply their early greenhouse produce, so soon things will improve! And kudos on keeping to your calorie deficit. That will do the job!

    @conleywoods - I love your turnarounds. Kind of like @eggfreak 's thousands of steps in a small yard! And somehow you delightfully made it sound like your kid and mother-in-law were 2 more of your dogs. Good walkies! :p

    @CanadianGiraffe - such a drag about your knee! I had a bad knee injury a few years ago, and had to get super creative about working out. Rowing machine with one leg (put the injured one on a facecloth or glider and just let it drag back and forth) or with the seat still and just use your arms. Pilates!! Tons of good exercise for your core arms and back, and almost all easy on the knees. Arm and core day - especially back. Glute focus - I'm sure you can find lots of good ways to keep up an exercise routine even if it isn't steps. I can "translate" that into steps and put you on the step/exercise team if you want!

    @Steph1498 - another Fitbit person! I never ever thought I would like using one, but I got it about 3 weeks ago, and it is effective and fun. A bunch of us do daily competitions and have a good silly time - post your user name and we'll add you in if you want.

    @eggfreak - I can't wait to welcome you to the maintenance crew! And I want pictures of that garden once all your hard work and many steps show results :smiley:

    @Terytha - do you see how close you are to the 170s????? YES! I'm sorry your back is sore, but do a virtual happy dance all over the place. Maybe you could try some pilates too? I know how easy it is to get aches and pains when you are not keeping strong. I am a firm (pun intended) believer in the strength = no pain formula. Or at least less pain, even after an injury heals. Get those joints and the spine supported by lots of lovely strong muscles and they'll feel better. Hope yours feels better soon! Because you really are doing great :heart:

    @jugar thank you! I just feel like I have been in this group since January and have gained and lost the same 2 lbs over and over. Saying 4 out of 7 days seems totally doable so that is going to be my goal. I did get up and run/walk this morning and I feel really good.

    @micki48 thank you. I do weigh in first thing in the morning, right after I feed the baby, so I don't think that's impacting my weigh ins too much. It's just the lack of consistency in dieting and finding that sweet spot where I dont feel deprived because I'm nursing but dont over do it either. I also think I need to be more consciousness if WHAT I am eating to ensure it is nutrient dense.

    I didn't have this problem when I was going to the gym regularly. :(

    I guess today is a muscle relaxants and gentle stretching and Magic Bag kinda day.

    I hear you. I'm looking forward to getting back to lifting again. It really seemed when my muscles were working hard my joints all felt better.

    And I'd add a hot soaky bath to your list of therapies! Hugs (but gentle ones) to you!

    Thanks! Interesting that you should mention that. Our satellite TV previewed a fitness channel for the first two weeks of May and I PVR'ed a daily Pilates show. I've only done one of them but I liked how it felt. I'm going to try some of the others and then figure out how to get it into the day regularly.

    I logged and exercised every day this week. I’m going to give it one more week and see if it rights itself. If not, I need some big changes. I feel stronger. I think I look better. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But that weight trend is definitely going up not down more than any time since I’ve started this journey. Need to fix that.
    Hang in there. If you are feeling stronger and healthier that is as important as the number on the scale. Maybe your body just needs to adjust and catch up to all the other changes going on...

    The weather is unbelievably gorgeous today. We went for a walk then grabbed ice coffees as a treat.

    Husband is super motivated today. He's been cleaning the basement and bedroom. I'm trying to help but I'm woozy from the painkillers. :/

    One day I dream of living in a house with a proper backyard where I can nap in a lawn chair in the sun.

    Hope you are all having a great Saturday. Sorry to all of you with aches and pains right now. @micki48 Hang in there with the weight loss. I just did a similar thing with my weigh ins recently and finally got back on track. It hasn't been that long since getting back to your routine. Sometimes what we do this week doesn't show up for a few weeks. I know it's stupid!

    Got a walk in today while my son road his bike. I also did part of a pilates routine until I gave up from kid interruptions. My new watch has pilates routines on it and shows an animation of each move. It vibrates when its time to watch the next demo. So fun to do a pilates workout outside with out having to set up a tablet. A more peaceful experience minus a million questions from the kids ha!

    6.6 mile run today. I felt better than last week when I lost my legs on the uphill, but I came in 2 minutes slower. Sometimes that happens.

    Eating one of my massive salads instead of nachos. Tomorrow is my weight in!

    My week of steps:
    5/10: 4,500
    5/11: 8,427
    5/12: 1,150
    5/13: 1,472
    5/14: 4,600
    5/15: 1,850
    5/16: 9,800
    Today is also my niece, Phoebe's birthday! Huzzah, huzzah! Happy Mother's Day, @jugar!
    It's funny about the increase in steps today. I walked into town via "Paradise Park" which hasn't quite become black-fly-infested. It was a nice walk, the intention being to have my prescription filled. Since it's one for a "controlled substance", they won't put it in the mail. Well, we got there and low and behold, their computers were down and they couldn't fill the script. Sigh. For a brief moment I felt as though the walk had been a waste of time but, you know, if I'd known that the Pharmacy was having issues, my walk wouldn't have been as long and I wouldn't have seen so many gosslings! I'll try to upload them here.
    Have a great Saturday evening.
    Peace to us all.

    Happy Saturday, Friends!

    Feeling a little sluggish today, despite having plans to restore my patio and make a start on my back garden. Seem to have lost my mojo!

    But yesterday was a good day - and also our 21st wedding anniversary! I did my circuit which consisted of 30 minutes broken 6 rounds of the following exercises: pushups, Toe Touch Crunches, Plank Up Downs, Curtsy Lunch Kick Right, Curtsy Lunge Kick Left.

    And my steps were: 2922
    Thursday (14th May) steps were: 6849

    I realise that I'm all over the place, forgive me, but today's circuit (last one of the challenge, hurrah!) was 30 minutes made up of 6 rounds of the following: Sprinter Lunge Right, Sprinter Lunge Left, Lunge Jumps, Plank T Rotation Right, Plank T Rotation Left, Plank to Downward Dog Taps.

    Thanks for your forbearance!

    "See" you tomorrow!
    Happy anniversary yesterday! That is a super good excuse for why you did not feel like doing much today. That's your story, and you're sticking to it, right??

    Just so @micki48 know, I have recorded the exercises for these days, but not the steps. Over to you!

    Happy Sunday, All

    Yesterday's steps - 3270

    Weigh-in:
    PW - 179.4
    CW - 178.5

    This morning we had our weekly family video call (hubby's family - my family weekly calls are on Tuesday nights) - and I always feel good after these sessions. We laughed a lot and showed off our home made face masks - one of my nieces had made a very impressive sock mask :D

    And last night we had a virtual dinner party with our next door neighbours (who also happen to be great friends of ours). Last night it was lasagne cooked by Jules - delicious! Their daughter delivered our portion to our porch (at a safe distance), and at the allotted time, we video called and ate dinner, drank wine and laughed. Next weekend it's our turn. I'm still deciding what to cook. Something for 5 people - any ideas? The only allergies are my husband's nut allergy - other than that, we all eat anything.

    I have some household chores to do today that got away from me last week through my various sessions of ennui!

    Tomorrow I start a new 4-week workout program. This one's by Jessica Smith and it's called Calm & Strong. Looking forward to it.

    That's all my news - enjoy your Sunday, folks!
