Not my best week. Next week, I want to average 10,000 per day1 -
@YinxFed Congratulations on 21 years!2

I took some pills before bed and my back is perfect today. Gonna make a mini goal of stretching more this week so I don't re-pull it.
I just got added to a local group called the Wine Ninjas. It's all women who ding dong ditch care packages full of alcohol and treats on each other's doorsteps. So sweet how people pull together during tough times. I might need to hit up the stores for some stuff.1 -

Steps for yesterday 5/16: 9,262
I spent much of the day in the garden yesterday and enjoyed every minute of it. Today is rainy and cold so I'm thinking I'll make up a batch of chili and cozy up with a book. Probably do a workout video later today to meet my step and activity goals.7 -

My week: 1 free day. Gain weight. Spend all week losing a few pounds. Pull out a loss at the end. 😒 😂4 -
Hooray us!🌟🌟🌟 We did awesome. We definitely get gold stars. I am definitely doing better at not eating my exercise calories and it's making a big difference in the scale. I also moved my chocolate stash into a ziplock bag and out of the cupboard in my kitchen. I can smell it when I open the cupboard and then I want some. Those tiny pieces add up if you have 5 or 6 through out the day. My chocolate lives in the pantry in the mud room now. I can still have some it just isn't so easy! Got a walk in today in between rain showers.7

What a day!
This was our warmest day so far this spring, and it felt good to just spend the whole day outside. Of course, the insects are also happy it is so nice out, so there was a certain amount of swatting, itching, and cursing the black flies. Still, hanging out with the plants, the birds and frogs singing away, and all kinds of lovely outdoor tasks was wonderful.
And we are so good! Of course, a lot of our success is because @unevano was ill last week and lost a lot of weight, but we'll thank him and take it! Let's hope that everyone continues to carefully balance and feel great about eating within the margins.
Remaining weigh-ins for Sunday:
@graceojo999
@justinb_83
@alexsandramorff
Coming up for Monday:
@reflectionofme
@unevano
@MoStacy
@ells_runs
Request! If anyone is getting close to goal, please let me know! How close are you?4 -
Happy Sunday evening, everyone!
@jugar don't worry. I'm not close to goal weight by a mile or two. It seems like I'll be puddle-jumping to it by the time I"m fully retired. sigh. I'll be starting the "tiny steps" week tomorrow and the book should arrive soon.
That'll help.
My goal this week is to move more. I've got to get this fit-bit of Em's set up so I can keep it going when I'm not lugging my phone around.
My meals tomorrow will be eaten off my very small plate so I can pay better attention to quantity.
Onwards!
xoxo

Wow! So great to hear everyone's news. Happy Anniversary to you @YinxFed and was it someone else's anniversary too? I can't find it. If so, Happy happy Anniversary to you too. Yay, team Yay! What a great week you all had! I will try my best to help us win next week too. So proud of all your hard work. Can we do it again next week, please? I want to try and help.
@Terytha Man, Wine Ninjas, that sounds like a lot of fun. Too bad we are too far apart. I'd do that with you.
@jugar and @evelynladams527 So sorry your good weather brings black flies. That sounds pretty annoying. Mosquitos are our nemesis here. They LOVE my O+ blood.
@steph1498 and @conleywoods I have no steps for you. Do you have any to report for this week? @YinxFed I have nothing on Wednesday for you. Was that your day off? I remember you mentioning something like that.
Weather here was gorgeous this weekend. Spent quality time on my screen porch. I love that room of my house. Had lots of time with my little granddaughter, but got no pilates or walks in. We went over there for dinner and had a surprise tea party (photo attached). This week's weather is supposed to be pretty terrible with our first tropical depression off the NC coast. I will do what I have to do to get those steps in though. Hope everyone has a great Week 3.

@matthewsfive Vera, I keep forgetting to mention this, but I LOVE your new profile photo. So beautiful.1

It's been a busy weekend. I have officially finished planting all my garden except transplanting 18 tomato plants. But that's tomorrow's project.
Happy Victoria Day tomorrow to all the Canadian friends!6 -
@micki48 You are both adorable!!1

Happy to see us in first place this week! Hopefully we can do it again soon without anyone being ill.
@micki48 Steps for 5/17: 2,700
My plans for yesterday's workout did not work out haha. Instead I again crashed on the couch. So sleepy during my luteal phase, and the rain doesn't help. Today I will start the day with a workout video, so it is done while I still have the energy for it.
Let's all kick butt and have another great week!! 💪😉👍4 -
My steps last week felt so off for me. This is without a tracker - just captured while intentionally walking with my phone or during a run with my phone. What a great case to use a tracker. I don't feel like I walked that much less than usual - but I didn't have the routine encouragement and I wasn't able to check in on whether I met my daily step goals.

Look at us # 1....... woohoo Go team !
It's monday, but my last monday for a couple of weeks...
I did my 2 miles this morning, I came up with every excuse not to, but none of them worked, so I did them, they may not have been the best miles, but they are done...
SO my goal this week, it to get the 10K steps EVERYDAY, and to do 20 min of pilates twice, and to do 3 20 min yoga sessions... It's tough getting my 10k steps in on work days, on average I get 1-2 thousand steps during my time at work, then with the 2 miles in the morning, I get about 3500- So I have to walk for like an hour once I get home... I gotta start walking while here at work. I need to just make it a habit.. If I could just get in 2 - 10 min, or a 20 minute walk, it would give me more time in the evening to get some pilates or yoga in...
Shoulder is feeling much better, I thought kayaking would irritate it, but it didn't so thats awesome...
We moved our camping trip, we decided to go the weekend after memorial day, We all took off Friday and Monday, so it will still be a long weekend.. We figured this way, there will be less people around...
Yesterday was my off day, so I binged watched a couple of shows on netflix while doing laundry... SO my steps are embarrassingly low... They = 1382
Last week according to my fit bit I got 6 days of exercise which equaled 5 hrs and 41 minutes... This week, I will beat that...
I have started a new bedtime routine, since we got that adjustable bed, Its very comfortable to sit in bed and read, so instead of watching TV in the evening after I shower, I have been sitting in bed reading... I used to have the hardest time falling asleep, well now, I fall asleep so easily, and quickly, it's great.. I always threw off the idea that looking at your phone or TV before bed was bad for you, and affected your sleep.. well I was wrong, it seems it did effect mine..
Okay well Have a wonderful day !

Happy Monday! I had a really good weekend. I ate well, worked out, cleaned house, did some work, and spent quality time with my kids. It was the most balanced weekend I've had in awhile. The scale is actually up MORE but I hope that is because I changed my workout routine. This is my last week of teaching. I have tons of paperwork to do. It doesnt have the typical magical last week of school. We don't even have a budget from the state for next year, so I don't know forsure what I am teaching (it's more likely one of my teammates will be asked to switch grades). Plus, we don't have a school calendar for next year so I don't know when I go back to work. In 14 years, this has never happened.6

Sounds wonderful! Just curious, how big is your garden/property? I'm still itching to get my tomato plants and a few others, but have ventured out with the virus out there.
And thanks for the adorable compliment!0 -

What a fabulous weekend with your family. You have such a great attitude about the scale. It inspires me to not let it get to me. What a strange and oddly memorable last week of school. I remember the magic of it, the goodbyes, the sweet cards. Hugs to you on the uncertainty of your next school year. I know my colleagues are feeling it too. How will the school open? In person or continue with distance learning? What will you be teaching? Who will your partners be? When do you start and how much can you spend ordering materials? How weird and uncertain. My heart really does go out to all my teaching comrades. Hope you get some answers sooner rather than later...and a few sweet "I love you" cards!
@Gidgitgoescrazy What a great plan you have for exercise and steps and for your camping trip. I think you are smart to go the weekend after Memorial Day. Are you interested in connecting with the rest of us on fitbit? If so, let us know. It may give you that extra motivation to get those 10K steps.
Completed 17 minutes of pilates this morning. Boy, did I REALLY need that to wake up this stiff body. I feel so much better having done it. But, those side planks, particularly on my left side, still get me.
Hope everyone has a productive on target day. I think I need to spend some time looking at my data to get my numbers to go down.2 -
Happy Monday! And Happy Victoria Day to all the Canadians! We call it la Journée des Patriotes in Québec, of course. Heaven forfend a British Queen should have a day! It's just nice for people to have a day off if they are working, and it is traditionally the "get your garden in gear" weekend. I don't care what it is called
My son is finally getting so lonely he came up to visit last evening, and stayed to talk for a couple of hours! He lives alone, just goes to work and keeps away from everyone there, so even though he is quite the loner, he was desperate enough to come and spend some time with us. It was great.
So in the holiday mood, that tea party dress on Michele @micki48 is the most beautiful ever! And you are making it look really great - the Pilates waistline is definitely happening
My tomato plants all got upgraded to much bigger pots yesterday, and they'll go out into the garden in another week or two, depending on the temps. They are looking very happy this morning, but taking up way too much room in my little solarium window. They'll start going outside in their pots every day to get used to wind and real sun now. Toughen them up!evelynladams527 wrote: »I'll be starting the "tiny steps" week tomorrow and the book should arrive soon. That'll help.

I advise caution about the small plate, though - be sure to also eat low density foods that can be served in bigger quantities. Large plates full of vegetables, really big salads (watch out on dressing, though!!) - I find the pleasure of chewing and eating a good quantity of food helps - but you have to make sure they are low density. Then the small helping of the main course, or whatever has more caloric density, feels like enough, where it might not if all you are getting is that small plate of food and nothing more.SMcFall0215 wrote: »Wow we did great y’all!!!!! @micki48 gardening steps for yesterday 5/17, 25,612. Sure wish it was part of the 'workweek hustle'. It wasn't all in my garden but I got a lot done. It was a heavenly day and evening to be outside - some weeding and 3 rows of potatoes in. I'll hold off on the tomatoes - the nights are still cool and, having babied them along from seeds, I'd hate to stunt them with rushing it with cold weather - I also have to think harder about how to keep the deer from eating them - we are inundated with deer in this busy suburb.
Love the photo of you and your granddaughter!
4 -
@eggfreak Sylvia, your garden is beautiful! The only way I can make mine deer and other critter proof is to make it ugly. We call it Sing Sing. The fence is high, and it goes into the ground below to discourage the burrowing critters. There are several strands of wire above the cyclone fence to discourage the critters who inspire the Nureyevs and Barishnikovs of the world. For a while, there was a motion detector attached to a truck horn to further discourage the criminal class among the leapers and crashers. And we still never grow anything that raccoons would like because they can get through all our defences! I love living in the woods, but we have to share with a lot of others. And what a step count!!! Yesterday you lapped me like an excited dog off leash on a long walk! I'll try to catch you today
I felt good to do a Pilates session today, a good long walk, and then my physio exercises. The hematoma is still just as large as it has been, and may never completely go away ( ) but we're working on draining what can be drained. Drainage is my new fave word. You'd laugh at my side planks on that side, Michele @micki48 - the left hip never touches the ground. Ever. And it is usually my good side! My husband and I have come to the conclusion that I no longer have any external pains in the a** in my life anymore, so I had to grow my own. There might be something to that...
We are missing a lot of weigh-ins! I'll go back and make sure I didn't miss anything between pages or whatever - but if yours is due and not in yet, hop to it, ok?
thanks!2 -

It cracks me up that you are so much more north than I am, but you can plant your tomatoes outside already! I don't dare for at least another week or 2...0 -
