Finally got out on the water to try my new paddle. Was on my slower SUP surf board...way different feel than my old paddle. Will be interesting to try it out with the raceboard. Nice evening paddle. Saw some rays, various fish and a small shark. Jellies are already starting to show up too in the bay. Just a great day to be outside.

3.1 miles around the neighborhood. It was slightly drizzly but of course started raining about half a mile into my second lap so I took a slightly quicker path home. It's so nice to walk outside when it's quiet. I'm working today in our closed office but I believe one of the doctors is also there to do her telemedicine visits, so it may be hard for me to get up and do laps around the office - which has only 38 steps per lap. Need to work on getting more movement in during the day, yesterday's total was only eight steps more than my walk this morning

40 years ago on May 18, 1980 the mountain blew up, and obliterated one of our families favorite camping and swimming spots. I had been on the mountain a couple weeks before and she was beautiful except for the north face bulge. When I go up there now, there is no way I can even make out any landmarks. I have great memories of the area long before the mountain got an attitude and blew.

I actually had no idea there were active volcanoes in America! And it's absolutely gorgeous. Nature is inevitable, and we mankind just get to witness the blessings and the harshness. If only we didn't make such an negative impact. I've been to Washington state on my visit to the US in '92 and was on a road trip from LA up to Spokane. It's really a gorgeous part of the world up there!1 -
@anaconda469, it’s gorgeous here in Washington State. I live close to Mt. Rainier, I totally miss hiking it.1
