@anaconda469, it’s gorgeous here in Washington State. I live close to Mt. Rainier, I totally miss hiking it.

I grew up north of Seattle and went camping on Mt Rainier all the time but only in the winter. I was married and moved away but came back to the state after several years. I took my family up there and it was the first time I had been there in the summer. It’s Gorgeous all year round. The flowers were amazing in the summer. The winter was nice as well and no mosquitos in the winter.

And that's GOAL for @ANACONDA469 and @CLEPANT! :star: I remember the Mt. St. Helens eruption well. It occurred on my 18th birthday. And I also remember the skies being cloudy with ash for some time afterward. It really is a beautiful area and I hope to get there to see it someday. I was in Kent, WA a few years ago for 2-3 days, but it was so cloudy and rainy that I wasn't ever able to see any of the mountains clearly.

@DEAN - No, I couldn't get in here in the forums because they were doing site maintenance. :-/

I have very clear, but distant memories of Mt St Helens erupting. It was a very sad event. The fallout had an impact on UK weather too.

I was born and raised in Orting WA. In the shadow of Mt Rainier and between 2 glacier fed rivers, the Puyallup and the Carbon. My dad was a professional logger and worked his way up and down the Cascade range. When I started my geology studies I have gone on field trips all through those mountains. My upcoming summer field trip to St Helens for my geology courses this summer got canceled.

Finally got out on my SUP raceboard. Nice paddle until I gassed out after an hour. Only 3.3 miles but I suspect the heat affected me too. Still trying to get back in the swing of things.

The rains of the past few days let up this afternoon, and with it being a morning only work day, I was able to do a 4.6 mile walk. And quite a few laps around Wegman's after work, but I forgot to check those numbers. Now the skies are darkening and the storm warnings are scrolling on the bottom of the tv screen.

@anaconda469 Gorgeous pictures. I remember when that happens, I was 11. My cousin and her family were living there at the time and they sent a ziplock bag full of ash.

My gym instructor did a Zoom class, and invited the morning regulars, so it was fun to see everyone and do that. I'm so out of practice, the videos are good, but not the same. After that I met a neighbor and we walked a total of 4.6 miles to her new house in the 55+ part of the subdivision that I want to go to as well. It's really cute and I saw some parts of the area I hadn't seen before. Got the name of her realtor. So, my shower in between both activities was wasted and I'm ready for a nap.

Sorry I haven't contributed to ALL of your success's but I want you ALL to know that YOU are who keep me MOVING!!! Thank you & Good Job!!!
My life has been OVER THE TOP busy!! My husband is suffering with insomnia at night (even while taking sleep meds) & it is causing anxiety & depression during the day for him. We are visiting mental health in the city which is a 4.5 hour drive one way! I also have our 2 sons & 3 grandsons staying while working on their hemp production! OMG! It is COOK-DISHES-LAUNDRY-CLEAN HOUSE & CHASE kids EVERY DAY plus do my garden & yard work!! I've been getting in walks & the ex bike ( not because I want to but because I am committed to this challenge). I am EXHAUSTED each & every night! I can not wait to get my quiet life back.
Here is my update from walking & the ex bike.
