Welcome to our newest members @goingape and @Missymouse75!
    Welcome back JillyBT!

There is always so much going on in the community, particularly when we transition to a new month.
Here are few reminders/clarifications for everyone:

We are in week 1 of August.
The August challenge has 4 weeks:
    Week 1 - Sunday,August 2nd to Saturday, August 8th
Week 2 - Sunday, August 9th to Saturday, August 15th
Week 3 - Sunday, August 16th to Saturday, August 22nd
Week 4 - Sunday, August 23nd, to Saturday, August 29th

    Weekly Weigh ins
For your weekly weigh in, you post your current weight (CW) here on this thread on the day that you have selected. Also post here if you will be late. If you cannot weigh in, and we will get you excused for the week. If you do not weigh in for 2 weeks without being excused, you are moved to the drop list and then off the team/challenge at month end. You can re-register after that if you want to.

Don’t forget when you post your weekly weight, you can note your LTD (Loss to Date). This way we can give weekly recognition for team members reaching milestones.

    Goal Zone
Team members who reach their goal weigh have the option of moving to the goal zone list on our spreadsheet. These members continue to weigh in weekly and participate on the team to stay accountable.

    Optional Step Challenge
The August step challenge runs for the same 4 weeks as listed above, so it starts today!
Please post your steps for each day on this thread. You can do that daily, or in one post on the following Sunday. For example, this week, you would post your list of daily steps on Sunday, August 9th. Please post your daily steps and not just cumulative for the week.
This challenge is just for the team and is optional. You don’t have to formally enroll, just post your steps!
We announce the winners on the following Sunday or Monday.

    Other optional challenges
On occasion, we do have other optional fun challenges or exercises. Our motivator @GingerPwr, just posted a great one with theme days for the month. Please have a look at her post from earlier today!
There are also F2F community optional challenges, which @jugar just posted about above. These are also optional and are a great way to have fun and get to know people on other teams!

Hi, thanks very much for adding me to this challenge and group. A bit about me I’m Anna and live in North Wales in the UK, currently 170lbs ultimate goal weight 128lb, had successful with MFP and weightwatchers is the distant past but struggled with my weight and currently at almost my heaviest. Goal for August is to lose 7lb, this group looks great looking and I’m looking forward to the challenge, getting to know everyone and having the accountability. I will weigh in the morning as my proper starting weight, my challenge this week is that’s its my birthday on Thursday but that is only 1 day out of 7 right....

@CassieGetsFit2013 - First of all, sending you a huge hug. I know that they gain is frustrating and in spite of your efforts, there could be many reasons for this beyond your control like time of month, fluid retention, medications etc. I completely understand your frustration, but remember how far you have come. I remember a time when you weight was around 215, so look at how far you have come! I put in the request for you to move to cheer squad, but please know that you can move back at any time. In fact, I recommend weighing yourself in a few days to see how it is going. Even though you are on team support, you can post here as often as you need to and we are here you! Take care!

I haven't been tracking food and water. I've been trying to eat more mindfully. I don't want to have to count calories/etc for the rest of my life. Not sure it's going so well but think with my crazy work schedule this past week, it may not have gone as well as I hoped

Church had planned an outdoor service for today but it was raining earlier this morning but they said they were going to do it anyway. I decided to watch the livestream instead.

After that Hennie, my sister, brother-in-law, brother, dad and I got together for dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. My brother surprised him my driving down. (he lives about 3 hours north of me). My brother calls dad every Sunday around noon or so. He did call and acted like he didn't know anything about dinner so it was a nice surprise for dad when he walked in. Dad is going to be 86 on Tuesday.

After dinner I went home to bed. I'm working a 10 hour shift tonight. I hope it goes fast.

    Welcome new team members!

@Mrsbell8well I hope your feeling better and get to enjoy your vacation.

I'm Tracy. I live in Hudson New Hampshire. I have been married for 25 years, I have 2 boys, LJ 25 and Danny 23. I have 2 granddaughters, Athena 9 months and Layla 5 months. I am an assistant director in childcare so this year has been interesting, we are finding out this week what will be happening with school this year. I gain and lose the same pound for years, it's very frustrating. I have ibs, I just bought some gross drink that I am trying to see if it will help with my stomach. Not sure how long I can manage drinking it for. It did cost a bit so I will try and suck it up and finish both containers because it was a buy one get one, lol. Even mixing it with my protein shake isn't helping. Not sure how long I have been on this team.

I am on vacation this week. No Canada but I am making the best of it. We are doing day trips. The last few days were spent with the kids and grandkids, today my husband and I took a ride up north and walked along the bored walk and took a train ride. We also got some seafood. Nice day. Not sure what tomorrow plans are yet.

    Weigh in week 1
    Weigh in day Sunday
    PW: 251.9 (114.3 kg)
    CW: 251.3 (114.0 kg)
    LTD: 24.7 lbs (11.2 kg)

I will introduce myself properly later when I am not at work, but it's 1.40pm Monday here in New Zealand. July was a write-off for me with health issues, but I survived it and I am here. My "Success Sunday" is that I managed a full 3 lifting sessions last week without triggering a migraine or nerve pain, and my meds seem to have settled down after the last change.

I spent the weekend working on some meal planning with macro balancing in there which I haven't been too worried about recently, but it's time to focus on that now. I got up at 5.45am and did a spin session before work this morning and I am feeling pretty good for a Monday!

    Hi!

I’ll do quick introduction since we got a lot of new members!

    My name is Lenka, I’m 33 (34 in a week :)
I come from Europe originally (Slovakia) but currently living in Pennsylvania. Happy married to an awesome husband for almost 8 years.
We just had our second baby Girl 4 Months ago. Pregnancies are rough on my body- I gained too much both times.

I joined WNM in 2018 and lost decent amount- I think I got to 132 (from 165) and then I got pregnant last year and gained 53 pounds yikes!

My second baby was born in April and I rejoined the team in May @ 172lbs

Lost about 15lbs since and hope to lose 25-30 more maybe over the next months (no timeline - it’s not a race :)

Goals for August: 4 gym sessions a week, 2 jogging sessions and 2 Hiits, survive vacation mid August and lose 4 pounds :)

Oh and get more sleep!!! I haven’t gotten more than 3h-4h stretch since my little one was born. She likes to wake up too often still :)
    Let’s have a great month, everyone! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome back!

@CassieGetsFit2013 hang in there! I totally get it! I had to take July off because I just couldn't take on anymore stress on top of my anxiety and depression. After a week I felt much better.

    @GingerPwr Love your theme month!

My Sunday success is that I drank and logged over 60 oz of water!!!!!! I even logged all my food for today. Only 6 calories over. Hopefully my walk took care of those points.

My new weigh in day is Tuesday.
Had to pick a new day as I am trying to hit the restart button in my life!

I'll post all my steps at the end of the week. Got a decent walk in today.

I really am hoping I can break this 5 pound loss / gain I have had since I joined. I creep up 5 pounds, I creep down 5 pounds.

    Sunday check in
Food - IF and on target
    Water - 2l
    Exercise - 40 min walk
I had a good day yesterday. We went to my favorite restaurant in the evening, which involved indoor eating given the rain. We had to follow by-low protocols with masks and getting our temperatures taken, with appropriate distancing. But it really felt like no big deal and we had a nice time. For want of a better word, it felt “normal” and it made me feel good to think of how far our city has come through this ordeal.

The introductions are still rolling in so I will keep it short. A note to all of our new members that Theresa and I mark your weigh in and step posts as “insightful” as a system for letting each other know that we have recorded the number on the spreadsheet.

    Sunday Check In
Food: Logged breakfast & lunch but my husband cooked stir fry using snow peas from our garden for dinner and I don't even bother to try to log his concoctions. Pre-planned my food and ate on plan tho.
Water: Don't log but did well
Exercise & steps: Mowed the lawn; (I use a Fitbit to track my steps) 11,976 steps

    Strategy for August
    - Drink plenty of water
    - 10,000 steps & exercise 6 days/week
    - Pre-plan my food and eat according to plan. I'm trying to eat more mindfully/intuitively and move away from logging. I use a checklist app based on Dr. Greger's book "How Not to Die". I'm not 100% plant based so I strive for 50-75% of his daily dozen. It's a tool I like to use to help me crowd out the bad stuff with good stuff. Also, cut back on the liquid calories

So that's my plan... keep it simple and take one day at a time.

Happy Monday All! Take care everyone!

    Sunday, August 2nd steps - 21801

Walk one for today is in bag.

Having been drinking water but not doing a good job of calculating how much. Need to make a plan. Think I’m going to do up some overnight oats for this weeks breakfast at work. Thinking peanut butter and banana but will calculate out the cals and see where that gets me and the satiety factor.

I can't wait to see my new Psychiatrist on the 13th. I hope she can tweak some things that will help me!! I can't stop crying, having meltdowns and panic attacks lately. Actually the weight I started at, at the very very beginning was 226, that was my highest. Then I got down to 156 or so, then went back up to 215 before I decided nipe, gotta lose this again and not keep going up! If I got down to 156 before, I know I CAN do it again and then continue from there! Thanks for putting me on the cheer squad. I think a rest there for this month will be good. NOT that, that means i will slack off cause I still want to have losses! I have a pet job from the 8th-15th that is gonna have me walking 2 times a day, there and back, there and back...And it's a little over 1 mile there and same distance back...Well, I also have another pet job this coming weekend, only gonna be 4 trips there, but it's about 2 miles of a walk. So I think this month should be good for weight loss, if I stay within my calories and have all that walking. Then I'll see where I am at the end of the month and hop back over to the team. 🥰😋 I can still add my weekly weigh ins here, right? Well, I forgot today is only Monday, so one day from when I weighed in, but I weighed in and went down to 197.4. Still have no idea how I went from 193 to 198.6...I have been VERY VERY stressed and emotional lately. Maybe that had a part in it. I really want to get some things solved and just feel better. I'm tired of all the breakdowns and panic attacks! Also, it's just that I've been feeling so bad lately...Like, people have told me thst I have a magnetic personality and everything, but I feel like no one likes me. No one wants to ever do anything woth me, my own Clinician hasn't been by to see me in a while and she puts down in her charts that we do telehealth every day when we AREN'T! At times it doesn't bother me because I've always loved isolating myself majorly...But now all the sudden, I am feeling very lonely. My best friend I grew yp with is on FL and I'm in VA and even she's been going through a lot of bad stuff so we haven't talked much. Another friend is in Rhode Island and another is only 30 minutes from me, but we hardly get to see each other. I really think I need to join this PSR group that's apart of my Clinician's job because there's other people there and they do activities and different things, but woth thos whold Covid thing, my Aunt has been more strict and controlling then usual and she was already pretty bad with that...It's like, I'm trapped...My Counselor and Clinician have suggested I go into Rehab several times in the past few weeks, but I really rather not go there right now. And it's loke my depression makes me NOT care and my anxiety makes me CARE TOO MUCH...I WANT to isolate and then I am VERY lonely...I can't win! 😫 Well, I'll leave now, have to find something to eat. 5pm and haven't had anything for today yet.

    Monday 8/3
I walked my friend's dog this afternoon. As I was going to get Max, a cute little daisy dog, (he has poodle in him but I'm not sure what else) I ran into another neighbor who was walking her dog, Lacey, a cute little yorkie poo. The two dogs are pretty good friends. It was nice walking together since I went a lit farther than if I had gone alone. Both dogs were tired when we got back. They got some good exercise in.

I'm working another 10 hour shift tonight and Thursday night. What's really nice about the OT during the week is that we get to pick the days we want to do it and if we want to stay late or come in early or we can choose not to do any extra.

Well Saturday went out to the range and since I was setting up the targets got some steps in. Had a lazy Sunday, last week was a bit crazy with work for both me and my fiancé so the lazy Sunday was well deserved 😊 I am super happy though I stayed below my calories both days I have a bad habit of eating whatever on the weekends and gaining back some of what I lost durning the week but not this week.

Today was really good too did four miles on my first locate all before noon. Spent the rest of the day driving and checking on some previous locates I did last week. (I do this when big projects are starting up when they involve a lot of my lines and throughout large projects) and I’m so thankful for ac. I love working outdoors but I don’t do well with the heat I’m a cold weather gal. Also some of the second hand books I ordered came in today and ones a signed copy. It’s been a dang good Monday. Hope this Monday’s been as nice to you all as it has been to me 😊

@CassieGetsFit2013 - I am so sorry that you are going through such a tough time. It is really good that you are seeing your psychiatrist soon. It is really important to listen to her and your doctors right now to get the best advice that you can for your situation. I know that the pandemic has exacerbated loneliness, anxiety, depression for many of us. You need to remember that you are not alone and you don’t have to go through this alone. In addition to your doctors, you have your family and you can reach out to friends, even if they far away. They will take the time for you. We have talked about crisis lines and texts, as well as urgent care if you feel you need it. I know that you are an intelligent and sensitive young lady, and you know how to reach out for the right help to determine what is best for you. But remember that you just don’t have to tough things out alone. As for the team, we are not going anywhere and you have been a member for a long time. As you asked, you will be moved to the cheer squad, but you can post here as often as you like. If you want to do weekly weigh ins, by all means do and post here. But the pressure is off on cheer squad. I know that you can totally lose the weight as you have done it before. But the important thing right now is to be kind to yourself, take care of yourself and get the help that you need. We are not going anywhere and whenever you are ready, you can move from the cheer squad to the weight loss team again. Take care of yourself and sending you a virtual hug.

    Congratulations Team Weight No More

    Month of July
Congratulations @Freeglerock @KUMEcyclingteam and @lenka1 for leading TWNM and for your honourable mentions across the entire F2F family.

    Week 5 July
Wow! I was surprised to come in 3rd place in terms of percentage of weight lost on week 5 of July.

I wasn't surprised at all that @CassieGetsFit2013 came in 2nd for both percentage and pounds lost that week and that @KristieJC had an honourable mention.

    Thanks
Thanks @Beka3695 and @Cafelelia for honouring my 30 lbs lost milestone. Although I'm within 4 to 5 pounds of my goal, I think I'll be around for a while getting my body composition in tip top shape. Slow and steady wins the race.
