@Terytha glad you checked in here; weird stressful times for sure and your job certainly sounds stressful too. Glad you had fun with your hair at least - although how did you botch it?
I was trying to do a gradient and it came out weird and uneven.
I think the only one bothered by it is me though, so I'll leave it until the red washes out, bleach the rest and dye over it.7 -

It is going to be another beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest. I know some of my friends back east are either dealing with rainstorms or heatwaves. I hope everyone survived the storms with no damage. I'm blessed to be living here near the mountains & forest. It'll be a great day for a long walk after my chores are done.
I'm on Day 5 of starting over after a long, long period of having thrown in the towel. Plus working from home during a rainy spring was not kind to me. It feels great to have new resolve and know that I am kicking butt again! The scale budged today!!!
Thanks to everyone for adding me to your group and for the support. I'm having fun with the step challenge "Workweek Hustle" and I don't think I ever had 2 days over 10K in a row! I just hope I won't let you all down when it comes time for my Friday weigh-in.
Also, a BIG shout out to all of your doing the "dry August". You rock. I really need to do that, but I'm starting over so my goal list is already a challenge. A dry month will definitely be in my future.
Smiles, everybody. Have a great day.
PS @Terytha I think your hair looks amazing!2 -
@BaileyCat88 So glad to have you join us. I’m sure you’ll have a great weigh in. Don’t worry you won’t ever is appoints us. We are here to cheer on your successes and lift you up if you have a tough week.🙂
@Terytha I like the color of your hair. It’s so rich and daring.
Some days are more colorful than others. I love hearing about what everyone is eating.
Took a slow leisurely walk with the little one for about an our. We went to the Bog Garden near our house. Fed the mallards 🦆, saw fish, a turtle 🐢 and a blue heron.
I’m hoping to do pilates when J naps.
I’ll check back later.
@jugar needed another row on the step challenge. I added a row but have not yet checked to see if the formulas carried over.1 -

LOOKS FABULOUS! how fun!!1 -
Thank you for the compliments! I love bright hair colors. Husband is daring me to go bright pink next and I'm considering it.
I adore wild hair colors. They're so fun and they make me feel confident and happy.
Hugs to everyone for the kind words and support. I am feeling a bit better today, and I'm getting my eating back under control.6 -
@jugar I love your veggies! Makes eating them so much more exciting when you've helped 'create' them. Excuse my ignorance, but what are the purple things? They don't look like aubergines....
@Terytha glad you're feeling better !
My day was ok. Lots of walking but no workout (too tired). Stayed withing calorie goal but didn't eat very healthy as was out most of the day so mostly sandwiches. The scale is up , I know I shouldn't weigh daily as it tends to wear me down, but I'm so curious every morning...1 -

They are aubergines (eggplant) - the Asian kind. Not the pale ones, but dark and very delicious. The one in the photo was a twin - two legs, and looking rather like a fancy mathematical symbol or something. This is the first year I have succeeded in getting any aubergines at all. Usually I just get lovely plants with no fruit on them at all. This variety seems more willing to put up with our climate.4 -
I hope everyone has had or is having a good Wednesday! I had a mixed bag of a day. There was a lot of frustrating uploading of sound files (grrr). I executed a rescue operation involving the re-potting and fixing up of a bunch of African violets that had belonged to my mother-in-law and were slowly being killed by my son. I gave a few of those to a lovely older lady who used to be a friend of my mother-in-law. Then I helped my taller half put very large sheets of rigid insulation through the table saw, and tried to re-stake and cheer up my tomato plants after last night's heavy rains and wind. They might need more help tomorrow!
Thanks for the exercise minutes - I'm trying to keep up better this week with getting them recorded, so keep them coming! Now it is time to get ready for Thursday ---

My goodness what a day @Jugar and what a lovely rainbow of veg/fruit (tomato).
My day was alright. Under my calorie goal so far and felt inspired by the panoply of people's rainbows that I kicked it up a notch.
Red pepper, yellow pepper, cucumber, tomato. Zuccini, carrots and garlic. And the remainder of yesterday's bean salad, so kidney beans, chick peas, celery, red pepper, parsley.
Got my 10000 steps (cycling and steps) today. No alcohol.
Yesterday, because of weather did this video at home (at home step workout) was surprised how much I was sweating. Had to do it twice and top it up. If anyone wants to check it out:

Well, off to watch a little movie, then sleepy time.

@micki48 steps today: 6,000
Also, swam at the pond for 30-minutes after doing a lot baking and cooking so cooling off was very much appreciated before supper.
Off to bed. More soon!3 -
Jesus there's a lot of chat going on in here! I've not had any time to check the thread so I've been reading from the start. I see some struggle with depression/anxiety and I'm the same, some days are worse than others. I hope everyone is doing okay 🥰
I live in Scotland, west Central belt. Always raining here 🤣 I'm 23 in a couple of weeks, have a daughter who is 2 and my man has his own daughter who is 3 so I often have ay least 1 if not 2 toddlers!
I'm returning to university in October, studying Accountancy with 2 years left. I also work in a supermarket part time.
I've recently found my love for cycling again and have been cycling to and from work for the last few weeks. I used to draw and read books which I'd like to get back into as well. Hard to navigate all the weans lol
I've just been planning my dinners a week in advance so I know what I'm eating for at least one meal. Cutting out the takeaways and excessive sweet snacking. So far I'm doing well! My first weigh in on Monday there was rubbish because I hadn't started at all until this week so I'm hoping the next weigh in is decent.
Looking to lose 10lb this month which would take me down to 13 stone exactly which is what I was before lockdown happened.

It is a chatty place and was my first time joining any online group. This is a great, yet revolving group. Even if the struggles and challenges are different for everyone, for weight and life, it's nice to have a supportive group for it all. I'm in the Boston area and my mum's from Glasgow (came here to be a nanny for a year when she was 20, then met my dad and stayed) but some of her sibs over there tell us of the rain, whereas here my garden, everything, is shriveled and crunchy from heat and drought.
Planning your dinners is excellent - it's harder when there's more than just yourself to feed, especially with little ones. For me, making big, I mean huge, batches of soup, using the Recipe calculator to know just how much in each cup, and then freezing in 2 cup containers was and is a help.
I think my motivation has kicked in again - I logged everything yesterday - had been weeks since I'd done that I'll switch to maintenance in the next month and move my focus to exercise while still logging and watching my food...I don't want to have to do this battle ever again. You all amaze me with your workouts!6 -

Welcome to the group! Yes, there is a lot of chat.
Speaking of Jesus, one of my favorite pastors is Alistair Begg. He's Scottish, but he's been in America (Cleveland, OH) for 40 years after marrying the girl of his dreams.1 -
Yesterday was good, got my sticker for the day !
I was towards the end of my book last night, so of course I stayed up to finish it, then it decided to seriously thunderstorm around 4am for about an hour or so... So I see lots of coffee in my immediate future.. I only did a 30 minute work out this morning because my feet were a little sore, and I was just sleepy and decided to lounge a little longer... but no biggie, I will make it up this evening, hubby is off today, so he will have dinner made when I get home, so that saves me 45 minutes...
Dinner tonight is Margarita chicken over garlic herb spaghetti... Woohooo, sounds yummy..
The Balsamic Figgy Pork was super yummy..
I really wanted to smoke yesterday when I got home, but I didn't, I told myself to wait till after I cooked dinner, and by the time I was done, the craving was gone... I read an article yesterday and it said you should delay any cravings by 10 minutes... it had some other stuff about recognizing and changing triggers, but the delay worked... so yeah... I'm gonna use that when I get snackie too.. although I've been drinking tea, I have this one called Get Relaxed from the Republic of Tea, it's an lavender tea for revealing stress... Not only is it yummy, it smells so good..
Okay have a great day !5 -
Will I never find the perfect coffee?
I've tried so many, they all just don't taste as good as the stuff I bought in a random gift shop that one time. I've apparently been ruined for all coffee now.
Oh well.2 -
I never got back on to post last night. I also forgot to finish my logging, but I did it today. Was over my calories by 18 calories, so no biggie. I was able to get over 10,000 steps for the third day in a row. I exercised by taking a leisurely walk. I count it as exercise, although I wouldn’t say it was “shower worthy exercise “ except for the heat and humidity. My rainbow wasn’t as colorful yesterday. I forgot to eat a lot of fruit. Although, my Soycatash, from Trader Joe’s, at dinner was very colorful.
@jugar those little 🍆 are so cute. I might even try those kind. My garden is limited because I never got out for plants because of the pandemic. I do have cucumbers 🥒 I started from seed. Beautiful plant, tons of flower—one little cucumber 🥒😢. Come on bees 🐝.
J is sleeping. I’m catching up here, but need to go get some steps or exercise minutes soon.
@Gidgitgoescrazy We had that storm here in N.C. around midnight. Big boomers and tons of rain.
Hope you all make it a great day. 🤗👟🌈👏🏼1 -
Hi loving catching up reading everyone's chat on here, my first week on the group.
Would it be ok if I changed my weigh-in day to a Thursday? I've weighed this morning at 12st 1.6lb's (169.6lb) - it's actually my Birthday today and I am 0.6lb of a lb heavier than I was this time last year - yes could be worse but to be honest considering I've been "dieting" everyday it could've been a lot better!!
Anyway onwards and downwards, goals for the upcoming week are proper accurate tracking, getting steps in and controlling wine consumption which doesn't help with extra calories and then leading to extra snacking!!
Hope everyone else is having a great day xxx7 -

Thanks for sharing this video! Just finished it and I am also sweating. It was a good workout. Got some steps in. Nice to have something that gets my heart rate up a little more than Pilates. Not knocking Pilates at all because it’s fantastic for your core strength. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1 -

Darn! Up a pound. It has been a tough week at our house. My husband and I finally decided that he will stay home next year and homeschool the kids. He let HR know and we are just waiting on the union and the school district to figure out if he can have a one year leave. It's nice to have a plan but it still feels so crazy that it has come to this. I have been eating too much. Trying to stay calm and get back on track!6 -

Hi @Missymouse75 ! Actually, you are not on this team! You are with team WeightNoMore, so I'll make sure they know you are coming and want to change your day to Thursday. Here is the link to their team chat thread:

Head on over there, and they will be more than happy to see you! I am sure they have been wondering where you are1 -
Hello all - sorry I have been AWOL today! It turned out to be a super busy day, and tomorrow looks similar.
I'm definitely going to try that workout video - if 2 of you liked it, it has to be good! Thanks @tobeme3 and @micki48 for the quality control. Will I never find the perfect coffee?
I've tried so many, they all just don't taste as good as the stuff I bought in a random gift shop that one time. I've apparently been ruined for all coffee now.
I am crazy about perfect coffee too. Since March, I have been ordering online from cafe-vrac.com and I have never been happier! They have wonderful coffee, reasonable prices, and the shipping is super fast. Their English site is northern-coffee.ca Their dark roast blend and the India Mysore Golden Nuggets (in the dark roast) are my 2 faves so far. I was not crazy about the ESPlosive or the Tanzanian Peaberry, but the other 2 are wonderful. They have a lot of choices. Give them a try! If you try either of the ones I like, and you don't like them, I'll buy them from you
Foodwise, today was not as great as yesterday, but not a bad disaster. I'll try to plan better tomorrow!
FRIDAY is our crazy big weigh-in day! So here you go - heads up everyone!

I’m over 10,000 steps for the 4th day in a row. Woot!
I logged all my food, closed my diary, and was under calories. Yay!
I did 32 minutes of an aerobic step workout. Yippee!
My 🌈
Tomatoes, green grapes, lettuce, green peppers, red/purple onions, yellow corn, red pepper, green edamame, black olives, brown lentils, cucumbers, white ice cream 🍦🤣
More thunderstorms here tonight.
