Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have an update on Lisa. They discharged her yesterday with oxygen. She will be on it for at least a month along with one Covid-19 med...down from 3. Also still on a steroid. Delphyne said she looked and sound much better and was very happy to be going home. Wonderful news!

Thank you for the prayers and enjoy the day with your families. 🦃 :D

We sort of celebrated Thanksgiving with S,P,R,&B yesterday because they are having dinner at Pete's mom's tonight. I O.D.d on cookies from the sandwich place and pumpkin & cream cheese bunt cake. Up 1.2 pounds this morning. I'll wait to see what tomorrow brings before I start to cry. It's so easy to put it on and so damn hard to get rid of it!! :s

Love you guys! <3<3<3<3 I hope you all have a wonderful day. Smile and tell your kids and friends you love them.

@KAR1959 Thank you for Lisa's update; that's the kind of thing that makes me appreciate Giving Thanks.

My Mom used to stuff the turkey with a sage dressing; so my nod to the holiday is adding sage to the chicken/mushroom stew. It will feel festive.

Love to you all, and wishing you a wonderful safe holiday! <3

OMG, Kathy. You need a break from life!

Tell me about it!!! I’m such a klutz, my mom is hiding all the knives and scissors. :D [/quote]

Kathy that is awful! If you wanted to get out of all the work of cooking you could have come up with something not so messy! ;) Glad it was not worse. And very glad to hear Lisa is home. Home is where we heal best.

Chris you stay away from pointy things. Sounds like you are having a great day. <3

    Chris

You did it! Woohoo, pom poms up. Congratulations.

Paula you are almost there. Have you recovered from all that tree hauling. ;) Heave ho and a bottle of rum!

Karen we are doing the jury selection about the same right now. Much nicer than when they cram 70 prospective jurors all in one courtroom!

Still working on the bathroom. The drawer is giving me fits. The old cabinet is out of whack. So the new drawer is not wanting to slide on its nice new slides! I had a lovely, small slice of banana cream pie which I made myself from scratch. And no, I did not injure myself with any pointy objects. :*

I worked on the drawer slides again today. Finally got it all working. Then we primed the cabinet. If it had been square and not around 70 years old it would have been easy. Darn thing was out of whack! It was worth it though. Rocky made a drawer. Then cut the top portion of one of the cabinets off. We used the top portion to attach to the new drawer. And a shorter cabinet under the new drawer. It was one of my finer ideas! Tomorrow we will paint it a medium gray.

We walked the younger dogs. Barney did really well.

Karen I had a wonderful meal also. Even some pie. Yum. Back to being good.

    Chris. <3

Good morning ladies! We are putting up the tree and decorating today....looking forward to that.

Looking to do a full fast today....get back in my groove with lower carbs and little sugar. May get out and exercise a bit before everyone wakes up.....

Will weigh myself on December 1st to see where I am and go from there ;) I don't want to get back into weighing too much....messes with me a bit unfortunately.

    Have a great Saturday!

My Charlie Brown Christmas tree is up!! And our Christmas Gnome is standing in front of the fireplace.

My wish is to clean out the garage and all the closets in the house but with the virus, it's not happening. Maybe later this year.

It's Nick's birthday today. He would have been 31. He would have been a teacher. Math and music. He was so damn smart. I miss him like crazy. Cancer sucks. We are having dinner with Sara, Pete and Ronan to celebrate and walk over to Nick's niche to wish him a Happy Birthday. <3

Karen that is a beautiful tree. Come decorate mine please.

Chris I am sure Nick would have been a great teacher like his sister. Hug Ronan for him. Do you tell Ronan about his uncle? Or is he still to young?

Bathroom is mostly finished. So glad!

Monday and back to work....was nice to have last week off. Did a lot of running around and some organizing/decorating. Tried to rest as much as I could. Have really felt quite exhausted from work over the past few months (maybe exhausted over life lol!)

I find it easier with my eating when I work for sure...

We both went "boing" at the end of the month, Chris!

It feels like I'm doing a swan dive, a graceful arc upward followed by a plunge. The weight is inching up a a few tenths of a pound every day... One of these days it's gonna plummet into the 160's.

You dropped 2.6# last month; I only lost 0.8#; so you win. Wait till December though! <3

Paula and Chris I just love a little friendly competition. You two can be such ruthless gals though. I bow to your expertise.
