Today I am taking the day off from working out, so steps will be a lot lower.

Thanksgiving dinner will consist of the following:

    Roasted vegetables
    Beef Tenderloin
    Baked Fish
    Mac and Cheese.

Probably the healthiest Thanksgiving in years.

Love the menu! We celebrated Thanksgiving in October. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Just got back from our 6.38 mile walk .... gonna make sausage eggs and toast for lunch ...watch the National dog show and then put up our tree and all the decorations :)

I make breakfast for supper every now and then. Enjoy your show!

Exercise is becoming a nice routine now. I have always been reasonably active, so that helps. It is a balmy 20 degrees F outside. Hubs is going skiing. I decided to stay home and walk/jog on my treadmill, and maybe a couple of other things. We do have an excellent view from the basement windows.

Dinner is going to be roast chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, brussels sprouts, green salad, and yogurt and berries for dessert. I do most meals buffet style, no matter how small. This way you can get the food and amounts you want. I have never been fond of passing my plate and having someone just put food on it. I realize you celebrated Thanksgiving last month, but please have a wonderful day :):)

Holy moly! Another fantastic loss! You are rocking it!

I know what you mean about exercise being routine- I'm going to try and dance every night and I always look forward to my "me" time.... the wife gets banished to the bedroom haha.

I like that you say you aren't giving up!! One never fails unless they give up. This is a universal struggle for all of us trying to lose weight. The journey that we are on is a very personal one. We have to find, generally through trial and error, what works for us. I think you will find what works for you, and what you can live with.

I'm glad you have an appointment for Dakota "the German Shepard"? Anyway, at least it sounds like her regular vet. Trust me.... Pet Emergency ain't no financial walk in the park!! I do realize you are taking both dogs in. You have an appointment, so maybe your wait won't be crazy long.

Our little guy saw his regular vet this week. We are basically continuing the protocol that the emergency vet set. We will be able to get his teeth cleaned, and take care of any extractions if need be. That is another expensive sucker... Alas, I will turn my thoughts to being grateful. It is Thanksgiving after all. Have a great day. Sounds like you had a wonderful walk with Aspen the Husky. I love how you always make that reference :):) .

    Exercise boxing workout

Happy Thanksgiving! I got so excited when I first got on the scale it was 3 lbs down but I first stepped on the scale today and it was 3 lbs down but I always go on twice and it was wrong really down 1 lb. oh well, wishful thinking!

Yesterday same pattern eating was great until late afternoon. I made the two ingredient dough and made pizza with my daughter. They were pretty good needed to be rolled out more.

@rlaskey2 I am super eager to start some boxing workouts! Any recommendations on where to start? I am totally inexperienced with it, but would love to learn!

Thanks ... I will never give up again...It gets me no where ....I will find my way back to losing again eventually :) ... It is our regular Vet but we will be outside while they take my dogs into see the Vet. and we will be talking to our Vet through my cell phone...It is going to be interesting to say the least ... I have a strange feeling they will have to put Dakota asleep in order to touch that ear .... it is so swollen ...my poor baby... Aspen's ears bother her occasionally but I want to be safe than sorry ..Thank goodness I have a credit card just for the Vet ...so it won't be out of pocket ...

    Today. was. AWESOME!

Steps for today: 13,972 (and I didn't work at all today!)

I fasted until about 3 o'clock (from 8pm) and had our thanksgiving dinner which was yummy. I was so full afterward, that I just wanted to take a nap so I skipped out on the pie lol, and began fasting immediately after. I never got around to taking that nap but I ended up going on a very nice walk/run. It was just relieving and made me feel pretty darn good! I actually am excited to weigh in on Saturday! I hope everyone else had an amazing day!

    See ya'll tomorrow!

    Hey all!!! Happy Thursday :)

It's amazing what 24 hours can do. Had a great chat with my therapist and got some things ironed out- and made some calls in regards to going to school! I have found an online-only uni based out of Alberta, and you can start at any time, and work at your own pace!

So I am going to be signing up in the next few days! I'll be doing a BA in Psychology (and then after that planning on getting a Masters in Social Work). After many years of deciding on what I wanted to be when I grew up, I think a social worker focussing on mental health and addictions is my jam. Especially having been in recovery for 13 years, and I got sober at a young age too so.... I have the life experience part down! Now I need to work on how to help others on a different level!

    Scary AND exciting!

Did another bout of dancing- took it a bit easier because my back felt like it was pulling but I managed to get through it!

I'm going to switch off now, get in the shower and have an early night (for realisies this time!) I wanna get up earlier to have some morning meditation, and even get some exercise in before the guys come in to finish painting our bathroom

Have a good night all, stay safe!! <3

You guys are talkative. I will need to spend some time reading but wanted to post before I slipped off into my turkey induced coma.

Today, my weight was 181.4 which is 25lbs and halfway to my goal. Not sure it will stick around until weigh-in day (Sunday) which Thanksgiving leftovers around but I am super happy to see that number 😁

I do mine through beach body on demand. I costs $99 for the year but I use it 5+ years a week so well worth it for me. The program I do is called 10 rounds. I really like the trainer and also do his lifting program in between. In a few weeks a new program becomes available called MBF (muscle burns fat) that I will try next. Years ago I said I could never work out at home and now I have grown to love the convenience of it.

NICE! I skipped breakfast and lunch before the big, turkey dinner and I didn’t feel like I stuffed myself like years past. I can’t say that I’m excited to weigh but I am hopeful that I didn’t do too much damage.

    Happy Friday team.

I wanted to say I’m so very sorry for completely disappearing this past week. I’ve been on the struggle train going on 2 weeks now. My weight has continued to climb and my motivation has gone out the window. Today it’s been 4 weeks since my surgery so I am going to call my surgeon and asking I can start working out again. I need to turn this around.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970

    My steps

    Sun - 8737
    Mon - 12,370
    Tue - 14,601
    Wed - 11,468
    Thu - 20,741

I’ll try to check in more often and start replying to your posts again. I’m hoping to have a much better December and finish the year on the right foot. Maybe I’ll even be able to come back as captain in January. Megan has been kind enough to continue taking my place for much longer than was planned. Thanks so much GF.

@littleflutterby - thank you so much for stepping up as motivator! Perfect person for the job!

It is my pleasure to help out when need be ....I have been on the struggle train too ...loss nothing 2 weeks ago... gained 3.1 lbs last week now my scale says I gained 7 lbs ... I am hoping I turned it around by changing my macros since I didn't do it when I went from Keto to Low carb .. We are in this together ...Let's turn it around ...hugs <3<3<3

Exercise: 45 minutes 2.3 walking. There was some jogging thrown in, but until I get my smart watch situation sorted, I'm very comfortable using a slow pace!! :)

Well done on meeting all your goals! Going to school sounds so exciting. We need more people working in mental health. Getting to know you over the last month shows me you would be great in this area.

Sometimes we need to step back and look at the situation. You can jump off the train and crush December. It would be so nice to see you back as captain.
