So upset with myself!!!! I knew this was going to happen. Been slacking off on being more consistent with working out and it finally caught up to me☹️. I hope I can get back on track this week.9 -

So sorry, completely forgot to post the weigh-in update!
It was the same as the week before 163.6.

Quick check in from me. We have my MIL visiting this week, she's on crutches after spending two weeks in hospital with a suspected torn ligament in her knee. She still has to go to the hospital every day for IV antibiotics (there's an infection in there as well, somehow) and at home she didn't have anybody to take her to hospital every day for this until next week. So hubby went down and picked her up (760km/470mi round trip) on Sunday, and will take her back on Friday, and her hospital arranged for our local hospital to do the daily IV (luckily we're in the same health district).
She is ok mostly, just a lot of work (always, not because of her injury) and I'm really glad to be able to escape to work this week! She also has some specific dietary requirements so eating is going to be a bit out of whack this week, I'll just have to do the best I can.

I had a long post typed, and I accidentally closed my browser. The overview is that things are going pretty well. I'm like Dory in Finding Nemo...I just keep swimming.
A few days back I posted a side by side comparison of face shots from my starting day and now on FB. I think you can see quite a difference.

@TeresaW1020 and @bunniphu looking good!
@Firefly743 I just ran into a girl who used to work for me. She's about 40yrs old and has been heavy for as long as I've known her. Anyway she looked amazing. Healthy, fit and slim. She said she started doing a kettle bell workout to get rid of the extra weight she gained during covid.
As far as the age assessment test goes I would use it as a marker and see if you can bring the number down.2 -
@TeresaW1020 and @buniphuphu
Long whistle---- wow! You look amazing.
@Firefly743 - The really snarky thing I'm thinking about your health assessment is they boil all that stuff into a nasty potion that allows them to increase your premium. I've had that done to me before. There's enough obstacles to getting healthy without ones like that. Keep your chin up. You are doing great things. I don't think your post was whiny, it was honest about how you were feeling. Sharing feelings is how we support each other.
Happy Monday to all!3 -
Hey everyone a late check in tonight. Been a long day. I love this group, and really enjoy reading all of your posts.
Love seeing your pics @buniphuphu. Just keep that swimming up. You are doing awesome.
@Firefly743 I'm so glad you shared. It helps so much just to rant some. You have and are continuing to awesome. This is such a mental journey. So much messes with our minds. Keep the positive self talk going. Keep reminding yourself of all you have accomplished and where you are headed!!!

@TwistedSassette I hope your MIL heals quickly, sounds like you're all dealing with a lot. Good luck with her!
@buniphuphu I'm always amazed at how much you swim, you're doing amazing! There's a big difference in your photos.
Monday check-in
Exercise- arm cardio, stretches, arm resistance bands, core
It's chilly tonight, I just put my heating blanket on the bed and fired it up, there's no way I'm taking off my flannel unless that bed's warm! Nothing new, I'm doing ok with adding back in a little cardio, it's not what I was doing a month ago but it's enough, I'm more concerned with keeping my back as strong as possible as it's been worse with all the nerve issues and lack of leg exercise.2 -
@Firefly743 I was just curious so I checked on the HASFit website and typed in kettlebells, they have a program you can pay for but I always did the free ones on YouTube or their website. Here's the kettlebell ones: https://hasfit.com/?s=&keywords=kettlebell&workout_length_min=&workout_length_max=2
-
@TwistedSassette Oh dear, she is lucky to have you guys to help her! That's a long distance to go. I hope she heals up nicely. That's good you can go to work to escape. Hang in there!
@buniphuphu Congrats on the loss, you continue to inspire me! Wow, great side by side comparison, you can really tell the difference!
@adhmrh Another awesome day, congrats!!!
Hi everyone. It looks like there is a possibility my full-time hours will be reinstated at work (I was put on 20 hours a week after being furloughed for several months due to COVID). If that happens, I'm going to have to re-balance everything I do. I'll still work from home most of the time but I'll have a lot less free time. But I need the money, so I hope it happens.

Week 1 weigh in Thursday (05Nov2020) sooooo late @broncobuddee
Previous weight:173.9
Current weight: 174.9
LTD MFP #2 60.1 lbs
LTD overall 125.1 lbs
Zowie, I really missed the mark! I was thinking I had posted my weight but didn't....gack! All is well, I got a bit lazy and busy at the same time. That translated to not logging, walking less and not checking in. I almost typed that I'm not exactly sure what to do with this new trend but that isn't true. I know exactly what to do with it and I just need to do it.
My stepdad goes for a big appointment on Thursday, he's had some tests prior to that. I'm not sure what he'll do with the new information as he had decided almost 2 years ago to stop chemo because it was so horrible. Many thanks for the kind thoughts. It's his decision to either start again or just go along until it plays out and, frankly, I'm not asking what he and my mom may decide on - they have enough pressure without me adding to it.
I accepted a job offer yesterday and start 07Dec! I received 2 on Friday and took the weekend to decide - very interesting role. I'll be heading up a function that is sorely needed....right after I work with the teams to create it and get it off the ground. I'm pretty excited because this could really grow and I hope to stay there until retirement - I'm not the job cruising kind, so that would be a great scenario for me.
I saw the pics of @buniphuphu and @TeresaW1020 - - wow, ladies, a big difference!7 -

TUESDAY **WEIGH-IN DAY**
PW 246.4
CW 248.2
Nov Loss 4 lb
LTD 54.8
It is definitely a bummer to get on the scale and see a gain. Especially after such a good loss last week. The “old” me would have just said forget about it and given up. But I will not do that. As I have said before this is not a race it is a journey. A journey to becoming and staying healthy. So I will focus on what I did right:
Log every bite and stay within calories: 7/7 days
30 mins exercise: 4/7
6,000+ steps: 7/7
Drink 96 oz water: 6/7
7-8 hrs sleep: 6/7
No sweets: 6/7
Prayer and Bible Study: 7/7
I am definitely healthier no matter what my scale says this morning. The scale will not determine my determination. Today is the start of a new week!7 -

woohoo! just keep swimming, like stated above! I'm recovering well from my surgery. I feel motivated to do more exercise, but not able to do more than walking right now. I still get tired! That's ok though, I am trying to walk more!4 -
@jactop- I'm excited to see that 8 in your weight!
@raleighgirl09 - Congrats on the job! Excited for you! Hang in there with the step parental health issues and keep us updated.
@adhmrh - Love your determination. Great attitude!
@leonadixon - whooo! Look at that swimming you're doing. Awesome!3 -
@buniphuphu That's an incredible difference! Congrats!
@trooworld I hope the work stuff comes out how you want - rebalancing is always hard but we're all just winging it anyway!
@raleighgirl09 Congrats on the new job!! Sounds interesting, I hope you love it.
@adhmrh Wise words. This is just a blip on your journey, not the end of it. Nobody's journey is linear, but you're doing all the right things and the scale will show that trend in time!
@leonadixon Great weigh in! Walking is fantastic exercise and clearly it's working so I'm glad your recovery is going well.
Yesterday was pretty hectic. I was at work all day, then picked my sister up from work and dropped her off on my way home. Quickly changed and picked her up again and we all went for a swim at the local pool (which was awesome as it was a hot day). After I got home again, I had half an hour until I had to be at a work dinner. I got home from that just as my son was about to go to bed, and I wasn't too far behind him!
But I did manage to squeeze in some short walks throughout the day on top of the swim so it was a pretty active day (which was lucky as dinner was not super healthy!). Finished the day with a decent deficit and feeling exhausted!!
My weight has been up the last couple of days because I have been eating a lot of sodium at dinner - hubby is in charge of dinners normally and with his Mum here, he's really struggling so it's been a lot of takeaway and other easy (i.e. packaged) foods. I just keep reminding myself it's only for this week, then we can go back to normal!

Just checking in on Tuesday nite .... that I have been forgetting to check in daily 🤪
👍 Have been doing okay with fitness goals, not so much on the ‘drop-those-chocolate-chips-lady!’ type of moments, though I AM getting better ( whew!)
❤️ I love reading through all your posts- that alone helps me do my thang - keep up all your fantabulousness !! 🌸2 -
@raleighgirl09 Congratulations on your new job!
@admrh Great attitude, you got this!
@leonadixon Glad to hear recovery is going well!
@TwistedSassette Great job squeezing in workouts, you must be exhausted at the end of the day.
Tuesday check-in
Calories- under
Exercise- arm cardio, core, stretching, little legs
I'm trying to carefully add back in a little leg strengthening, will see how it goes. I actually worked up a sweat doing arm cardio today (doing about 15 minutes), it was nice to "earn" my shower as @Jugar and I say!2 -
@Katmary71 I’m sure I don’t have to tell you to be super careful with those leg exercises. But I agree that it’s nice to earn the shower after a good workout.
@SammyDee2015 Good on checking in and with your fitness goals. Now, what’s up with the chocolate chips? Why are they in your life calling your name?
@leonadixon Great weigh-in this week!! Keep up the good work but stay mindful that you are healing and need to take care of that body of yours.
@adhmrh YES it’s a journey and the only way to get to where you want to be is to stay on the journey, which is even more important when you have a stumble along the way. Stay focused on the things you are doing right and stay determined!
@raleighgirl09 Yes, you do know exactly what to do to turn that number around and get it moving in the right direction. I believe in and your ability to do just that! Prayers for your family as your stepdad makes hard decisions for what is best for him. And YAYYY on the new job! Sounds like this new job is going to be challenging and possibly very rewarding. I hope you love it!
@trooworld It will be an adjustment for sure when you go back to work full-time after being at home for so long. But I have no doubt that you will figure out how to make it all work for your benefit.
Good morning Team! Sorry that I was missing yesterday but it was a long day. My mom had a doctor’s appointment and then we spent a few hours shopping and going out to lunch. Then I came home and worked more in the house because I’m putting up all my Christmas decorations and that is a major project. I had Bible study last night and came home and crashed. I ate like crap yesterday and this morning I feel like I have a hangover, which is what happens to me when I overdo the carbs. Today is my 500 calorie day and I will drink a ton of water and push off the cravings carbs. I’m really hoping that I won’t have a gain this week but if I do I only have myself to blame.
6 -
@raleighgirl09 CONGRATULATIONS on the job offers!
@adhmrh Sorry about the gain, there is so much good stuff in your week last week, you really rocked it and you were robbed at the scale. That has happened to me, too and it's a bummer. You have the right attitude, keep going, and don't give up, just remain consistent and those losses will come! Hugs to you!
@leonadixon WTG! And yes, keep swimming!!!
@TwistedSassette Thanks! It is difficult to rebalance but I'll figure it out. As you said, we all wing it lol! It sounds like you did have a busy day, but a good one! Hang in there, it will be the end of the week before you know it!
@SammyDee2015 Can you get them out of the house?
@TeresaW1020 Thank you, I will. And since I can work at home most of the time, it won't be too hard. Shopping and lunch sound like fun. I will be thinking good thoughts for your Friday weigh-in!
Hi all. I had a bad day yesterday, was experiencing a lot of anxiety and depression. I had to "wrap up in my cocoon" so to speak and protect myself. I feel a bit better today, thankfully. But it's no fun when I have days like that. I hope today is a better day.

Check in day: Wednesday
PW: 130.8 lb
CW: 130.8 lb
I was waiting and hoping to drop in the next 10’s, but it didn’t happen and probably it’s going to be a while with my rate of 1lb/mo.
I’m off work today and it’s going to rain all day so my plan of walking 2h is out and I have to choose between running errands or watching tv while on the stationary bike . I did not touch the bike in almost 2 months and I’ll break that “fast” today.
100 days challenge, day 51, Nov 10:
- eat within calories: ✅, 39/51
- walk 14,000 steps ✅, 36/51
I played with my spreadsheet and changed the failing count as over maintenance for eating and under 12,000 for steps. Changed little on the spreadsheet, but a lot in my head and I’m grateful for these posts for teaching me to be flexible and patient.
Have a good day everyone!

November 4: 300.2
November 11: 300.8
Sorry that I'm not using my regular format. I'm at home and my word document is on my work computer. I've been quarantined for 2 weeks due to COVID exposure at work...so...I'm improvising. LOL7 -
I am having arguments with my scale this week due to sodium-related water retention! I did overeat last night, but not enough to have gained 1kg overnight! Hoping today is a little more normal for eating and then I can get back to what I know my actual weight is. We've had a lot of takeaway food this week and it's really affecting me - I feel so bloated! Tonight I will be cooking fish so that should be nice.
Can you believe we are halfway through our 100-day challenge?!

Yesterday was a much better day: very little anxiety and depression. I was able to be productive at work and came home and made a nice soup for dinner. I am off today and tomorrow and will enjoy it to the fullest! I have simplified my goals as I was having trouble meeting them. I think if I go back to focusing on a few at a time, I will be more successful.

Good morning, Slimsters!
Catching up here after a couple of crazy busy days.
Yesterday went well. I stayed on track with food and got in over an hour of exercise.
@trooworld
👐🏽 I am so glad you had a better day. I think paring down those goals is a smart thing. If we make goals to much of a stretch and can't win day-to-day, they aren't so helpful.
@Katmary71
👍 Yay for calories under and a great exercise day yesterday! I hope today is going well, and that you feel well enough to "earn" another shower.
@SammyDee2015
🌊 Woohoo! Water instead of a late night snack -- what a great win! And double yay to being in the green for the daily calories! And as to fantabulousness -- oooh, than you for yours!
@TwistedSassette
🧂 Water/sodium related weight bounces can be frustrating, and you sound like you are taking it in stride, which is great! I hope last night's fish dinner put you on track for a more normal water level and weight number!
@GretchenReine
👐🏽 Oh, my. I am sending all best wishes that the quarantine is just an inconvenience. And in the midst of that, I am impressed that you got your weigh-in done! You are so determined!
@GabiV125
✅ Hurray for maintaining! It sounds like you are losing at a slow, steady rate that works for you! And I'll bet breaking the "bike" fast helps nudge things along -- great choice!
@TeresaW1020
💗I loveloveLOVE your graphic from yesterday, about not focusing on a diet with an expiration date, but on making long-term changes!
@leonadixon
Oooh, you go, girl! Awesome weigh-in! And hurray for figuring out what the right level of exercise is for you and your body right now.

I hope your stepdad's appointment goes well today, as well as it can. 👐🏽

🎉 Congratulations on the great weigh-in! A big WOW to your pictures. So inspiring!
@broncobuddee
Well, I have reeled all the way back to Monday and am not seeing my check-in post. I think I had a typed-but-lost-it moment.
I did weigh-in and I weighed exactly the same as the previous week.
AustinRuadhain
Weigh In Day: Monday
Previous Weight: 138.5
Nov 2 Weight 137.8
Nov 9 Weight: 137.8
My plan for the rest of this week -- more greens, less fruit, more exercise! 🥗🏃🏽♀️
Especially the more exercise. External events are being so anxious-making for me, and I have friends and family members who want to talk lots about it all, and it leaves me feeling anxious. More sweat and more time outside walking may help!4 -
@SammyDee2015 your post reminded me of this image I saw the other day - all our small choices add up so good on you for that little victory!
@trooworld I think this probably applies to you as well - having too many goals can feel like climbing the ladder on the right!
Happy Friday everyone!! Look at me, actually checking in here on my phone on my day off work! I usually go AWOL here on weekends as I usually check in from my work computer (shhhh don’t tell my boss!).
I made the fish last night and finished with a great deficit. The scale was down slightly today, but not as much as I’d hoped. But I know it will move with time so today I’ll be making sure to get a lot of water in and stay active.

@trooworld I’m so glad that you are feeling better. I also think simplifying your goals is a great idea. We want to challenge ourselves but never to the point where we feel disappointed when we don’t hit our higher expectations. You are a smart cookie!!
@AustinRuadhain I learned a while back that if I am ever going to reach a healthy weight that I can live with then it has to be wrapped in an eating plan that I can keep doing forever. I have especially learned that by following people like you and others who now live in maintenance.
@TwistedSassette I LOVE that graphic too and think I either posted it here or on one of the groups I’m in. It’s such a good reminder for us all to just take it one step at a time.
Hi Team! It was another busy day. I went to my staff meeting and then afterward I dusted all the church pews and other areas that our cleaning guy fails to take care of. We have every other pew taped off since we returned last June, and I noticed on Sunday that they were super dusty!! My Fitbit gave me a whole lot of steps for all that wiping I did. My diet was pretty good today and I’m hoping that I won’t have a gain tomorrow or at least not a very big one.
NEW YEAR CHALLENGE: 50 Days until January 1st
1. Fast Clean I fasted 19 hours
2. Workout Lots of church cleaning and finishing up my Christmas decorating.
3. Eat on plan Yeah, I had a bit more than I should have for dinner but I did OK today.5
