So my 20lb kettle bell delivered today....Christmas gift from my MIL....the 10lb is still coming. I'll be ready to join you all soon with these exercises;)

Felt terrible yesterday...only like 3 hours of sleep...so took a mid day and nap and felt better. No exercise for me. Will see about today. Maybe I need to find a video or something on cable. Cold outside and meant to snow a bit ;)

    Karen

Karen you do not have to wait to use the kettle bell. Kettle bell workouts are awesome for the leg workout and inner thigh you get even without the bells! You will like the 20 for swings and the 10 for arm moves. B)

Would this be the 5000 step one or the Christmas one? So many to do, so little time to do them in......

Allright Shelley...I'm cracking that puppy open tomorrow.

Went to tue mall today (empty)...and walked it for 25 mins and then bought a few tops. Sadly....I think this mall will close. I was happy to buy an XS petite sweater...woo hoo!

    Chris & Karen,

I just click on the arrow on the picture that Shelley or Karen posted; and it loads the YouTube video and runs it for me automatically. Then I click on the "full screen" icon and watch it on my computer and try to dance along...

    Paula

I should have said...I don't know how to get the youtube video from youtube to our thread. We could have these as our monthly workouts if I could figure it out...otherwise, Shelley will have to post the workouts and I'll take over the monthly chat thread...whadda ya think, Shelley??

Chris that would be good with me for a while. I love a change. But give it a try again. I right click on the video as it is playing and copy the url. Then just paste it here.

I did this one tonight. It was a bit short for my liking. And while he is usually one of my favorite guys I felt like he was being rather negative. Do the workout and tell me if any of you feel this way. I might be being a bit over sensitive today.

Karen glad to hear you are getting on it. Just jump in and do some swings!

5.63 miles in 109 mins this morning. We started out all bundled up against the freezing cold, but by the end of the walk we were shedding layers like crazy. Still cool but at least the fog is gone! It was so bad yesterday the houses across the street were fuzzy!

A ton of things to do this time of year, Kathy. Do what is best for you. Don't over-do it.

4.06 miles done in 86 mins...in the fog then the sunshine...so strange this weather is!! Then 60 min workout w/my trainer. Then we went out to Nick's niche and changed up his flowers and fixed his super heroes then we picked up our order at Raley's then we came home and made soup for tomorrow's Soup and Salad Christmas Eve Dinner with DDD, SIL, Ronan and Bean. Now I'm gonna read. :)

Chris you were busy! Have a great visit tomorrow.

Kathy why is it you are busier after retirement? Seems to happen to most retired folks. I took a rest day. And I loved it. Only worked half a day.

There sure are a lot of young people using meth here. You would think that way out here people would not do meth. So sad to waste your life on that junk. After prelims and initials we were told to close the building up for the day. I was able to go home and snuggle with my pups. Then cleaned my coral tank some. Water changes tomorrow.

Chris I did about the same. Walked the dogs. And ate. And read up about an aquarium bigger than my home! Crazy!

4.75 miles in 91 mins. 3.01 miles w/DH and the rest on my own. Trying to get back to a 15 min mile...was in the 16's this morning. Then I met with my trainer for 60 mins. It's been a good day.

5.66 miles in 100 mins. I did get a 15.59 miles per hour on my last .66 mile which surprised me...I thought I had slowed way down. Mile 4 was 17.35 and mile 5 was 16.19...I'm happy!!

Don't know if we are walking tomorrow...DH may say, "Day off." :| We should and I just might...

59 minute walk - 3.26 miles and 45 minutes on recumbent bike - 10.64 miles.

I took an unplanned almost week off. I believe I needed the break. Yesterday felt good.

Kathy glad your unplanned week off from working out reset your groove! <3 Nice workout!

Karen I love the chilly air on a sunny day. Perfect for walks. With my pups make me happy.

Chris what is your trainer having you do now?

I walked here at work and did some stretching at home.

I got 5.09 miles done in 97 mins not as fast as Sunday but a really good walk.

Kathy, nice to see you. Glad your week off helped.

Karen, good job on the elliptical. I'm not a fan of cold...I bundle up even when we are in the 50's and it's sunny...like today...gloves, heavy jacket, medium weight pants, hat!

Shelley, pull-ups w/band then "leg-down" with the band for my hip. Balance board because I have weak ankles or dumb feet. Pushups, planks. I don't know what this one is called...but it works my abs with resistant bands and a bar. I'm up to 12 pounds on hand weights for curls. I do pull-downs with 25 pounds at the end of a cable. I pull a 20 pound kettle bell attached to a battle rope over a 8-10 foot bar 5 to 8 times. I do rows on a bar with my feet against a metal plate...that's a hard one, but I got 3X10 done yesterday!! There were a couple other ones but I can't remember. Those were Monday. She'll have me do a bunch of different exercises Wednesday then this set again Saturday. Next week will be totally different. I've gotten much stronger, but I'm not back to what I was before my surgeries. I'm getting there. I wish I hadn't been a dope and gained so much weight at the beginning of the year...I try to blame it on the virus but that doesn't work. :s

Chris I am proud of you. So many others would have given up. But you just got back in there and give it your best. B)
