I feel like this graph of my weight in 2020 is also a graph of my stress in 2020. My goal for this year is working on ways to deal with stress without bouncing the scale around.4 -
@Cora0477 this is an amazing chart and your perseverance through the stress is a big victory. Just look where you were at the worst of the lockdown and where you are now!
Where do you get this chart / Happy Scale? I'm new to MFP and still discovering tips and tricks. (And still picking up friends if you are interested!)1 -
mid January checkin:

1/14 - 135 lbs
Would have loved to be further ahead (closer to 130) but it doesn't really matter. Feeling good and on track!2 -

Started to eat more calories and started taking amberen https://amberen.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx6f4kvib7gIVTOHICh32dQ4gEAAYASAAEgKMgvD_BwE
It says it doesn’t start to take effect for 60days. Still get hot flashes. Hope it helps.
OTF is Orangetheory. 1hr HITT class with treads, weights and rowing. I’ve been going almost a year and half.
MIRROR is like a new in home exercise thing: https://www.mirror.co/how-it-works?utm_source=google_ads&utm_medium=search_cpc&utm_campaign=brand_mirror&utm_content=mirror_exercise&utm_term=mirror exercise
I am feeling bored with OTF since that’s pretty much all I do now. I like mixing up with outdoor stuff but with Cleveland weather, not going to happen...
So I’m looking at alternatives.

@k8richer Happy Scale is an app for iPhone/Apple that averages your daily weight so you don’t freak out about normal daily fluctuations. It has charts and graphs that make it easy to see if you are headed in the right direction.
If you have android, they have an app called Libra that works similarly.
Good luck!1 -
Hi everyone! Joining a bit late. Just booked a trip to Aruba in August for our 10 year wedding anniversary (if travel is safe by then of course).

I do daily Peleton Tread Bootcamps at home with the App between 30-60 minutes. I enjoy exercise so it isn’t an issue.
Hope to incorporate more stress relief activities: Yoga, slow walks with my husband and dogs, meditation, reading.

The whoosh finally happened this week and it feels so good! 2.5lb down and 2.5 to go. I found out this week that I don't have dental insurance for the year so I've been using that as the best reason ever to stay far away from sugar. To all of you not on the US healthcare system: I envy you.5 -

I had a not too bad weekend until yesterday afternoon. After lunch I just couldn't snap out of a snacking binge and I had almost 2.000 kcal of unplanned snacks.
Instead of shying away from the figures, I did hit the scales and filled in my diary and I'm back with a vengeance.4 -

Super stressed about money and job situation too. New job is making life tough. There are good things, but plenty of cons, too....so I'm still applying for other jobs in the meantime too.6 -

I recently joined this challenge group on FB for 2021 and I must say I am doing really good! I haven't had pop in 15 days and I've cut out a lot of added sugar to my diet. I joined this thread to help motivate me. This week in the challenge we are focusing on moving for at least 30 minutes everyday! Today I got all my steps in at work and was on my feet A LOT! My lack of motivation comes from not wanting to go to the gym. I could do YouTube workouts at home but when it comes to going to the gym I just can't! wahhh6 -

I've been struggling to find my motivation the last couple of months, like reaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyy struggling. I got up to 151.5 - ridiculous. New Mexico is still basically locked down. I finally got to go to AZ for about 10 days and I desperately needed it. I took my colt that I finally get to enter in barrel races this year.. It was so so good to be back competing, I feel like I found my spark again. Ate really clean and low carb for all 10 days. I already feel so much better about everything. I've planned monthly trips to AZ and TX to run him, I've just resigned myself to lots of driving time because NM is just horrid. (counting the days until my stepson is old enough we can leave this state).

I've been steadily chipping away at my weight loss. I hope to hit 130's by month end / early next month. I'm going to start running on the treadmill at the gym and I asked the trainer there to help me set up a weight training program. I'm excited to get back into weight lifting...I'm not one for the free weights but I would like to use the machines. Eating is on plan, I've been doing intermittent fasting with a longer eating window of 18:6.5 -
ME:
31y * 5'9" * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)
Even though I am 5kg fatter than I was last January, I hope I lose them faster this time around. I especially hope to see a difference in my waist again. Was so happy when it was 75cm, and now it's back to 79. Gross.
GOALS- Minimal intake of sugar (<30grams/day)
- Get back into the fasting routine
- Have 2-3 adjacent keto days every week
- Alcohol only in the weekends
- Reach 70.x kg by month's end
WEIGHT
2 Jan: 72.3kg
8 Jan: 71.2kg
10 Jan: 70.3kg
13 Jan: 70.5kg
20 Jan: 70.0kg
Despite it hovering for a bit, I'm expecting the "woosh" any day now. At least I already lost 2cm (.8in) on my waist so I'm happy with it.
More than halfway in January, and so far my goals have hold up very well.
I've decided to try and narrow down the insane bloat baby instances, so next week I'm cutting out all diary. Would suck if it's that because I love my skyr and cheese, especially on keto days!
And welcome back @cayenne_007 ! Good to see you again!

Goal weight for Jan: 130 lbs
Daily bodyweight workouts for 3 weeks (1/3 to 1/24) then 3 times a week. Walk 3 days a week. Basketball goal going up this week. Going to rake up all the leaves in the yard so we can play croquet.
1/4: 133 lbs
1/7: 132.6
1/12: 133.2 oops- I've been keeping up with the daily workouts, but not the other stuff since it's been cold outside lately. (That's the excuse I'm using right now, ha!)
1/20: 132.8 - still doing the bodyweight exercises daily and adding dumbbells to the routine 1-2 days a week. I'm also taking a walk with my 12yo daughter after school a couple days a week.5 -

Good to see ya'll! I'm so glad to see familiar faces, stories. It does help to check in with ladies in the same boat. @weatherking2019 - Your consistency is inspiring! @l4a_p - I'm playing around with keto a bit. Attempting to spend a little bit of time becoming more educated on what works/what doesn't. I actually broke down and bought some of the strips to make sure my body is processing things the way it should....that I'm staying in keytosis.

Ah! Coincidentally I was also looking at buying those strips last week; just out of curiosity. Let me know if they work!1 -

I was shocked 😳 couldn’t believe my eyes, stepped on again this morning.
I’ve never seen 118.
It must be water? I’m going through major change and completely confused.
Hot flashes, swollen hands and aching hand joints. I sleep fine but I sweat.
I feel bloated and uncomfortable 🥵 if this is what it’s going to be, I’m ready to throw in the towel already!
Estroven for menopause hasn’t kicked in yet. Any suggestions for relief?
I’m exercising daily; cardio, weights and eating clean. I don’t know what else I can do here-😩

@weatherking2019 : maybe you should check with your GP to see how you can counter the symptoms?
I can say that I'm back on track! I've kicked the sugar again (thanks to @l4a_p ) except one little piece of 70% chocolate every evening (hardly sugar in that). To top it off, hubbie decided to do a dry February, but starting now - so 5 full weeks. The only exception will be during our Valentine dinner; normally we never go out eating for Valentine, but as we are being cooped up since almost a year, we will do a special takeaway as we did with Christmas eve, with a bottle of champagne.
Sugar will definitely be a thing of the past.4 -
