1. Stay off sugar
2. Stay low carb - audios chips/tortillas/potatoes
1/20 - 146.4
1/21 - 146.2 - Yesterday was pretty good. Staying right around 1200-1300.
Road trip this afternoon thru Sunday. I'm going to work to stay off sugar, however I do intend to thoroughly enjoy myself at dinner Fri/Sat. I miss eating out..... Other than those 2 meals, I will work to stay on track.
1/25 - 146.2 - Back to logging and reality. It was so so good to get out of NM for a couple of days. Went to some fabulous restaurants in OKC and thoroughly enjoyed being able to eat out again. I did manage to avoid sugar.
1/26 - 148.2 ARRGH!!! I stayed under 1200 yesterday, but did have a breakfast burrito - Momentary weakness. No nightcap. Thought this morning would be great. How does one gain 2 lbs overnight?
@l4a_p - There's gonna be a 'whoosh' at some point. We just have to stay consistent.

I should talk to my GP like @antiopelle is suggesting.
This is just so weird.
I wake up with my hands all swollen and joints hurting... I’m ttly bloated and uncomfortable. Little constipated which is rare for me.
I looked up the IUD side effects (Liletta) since that’s the ONLY change I made that I can think of. But nothing says swelling...
My father is an OBGYN and asked him about this symptoms. He thinks it’s a bookcase premenopausal case.
He suggested I get some rx. I’ll run that by my GP.
Meanwhile, I turd in my 2 wk notice last Friday so I have 9 more days of work.
Can’t wait to be done!!!!!!!!3 -
@weatherking2019 - I'm so jealous of you getting to turn in your notice! I keep trying to work on our horse biz while dealing with my office job.... ride enough to be competitive on my barrel horse. Battling burnout. Big fat congrats to you!3

K, this is better.
I did a bit of reading yesterday. I guess I’m going to go back to super low carb/keto.
Need to go through my fridge/pantry and plan ahead.
I can do anything I put my mind to it.
I know I can.
I will feel better.
K, I’m going to keep telling myself this😳😆🙏🏼

@cayenne_007 , @Antiopelle , my resignation is so I can care for my troubled daughter.
After I went back to work after FMLA, she stopped turning in assignments and taking tests, it’s gone downhill super fast.
I just need to work with her for now.
So I’m not going to miss my office job but I will find less demanding PT job once she’s back on track.
Send me positive vibes 👍🏻🤞🏼😘5 -

Goal weight for Jan: 130 lbs
Daily bodyweight workouts for 3 weeks (1/3 to 1/24) then 3 times a week. Walk 3 days a week. Basketball goal going up this week. Going to rake up all the leaves in the yard so we can play croquet.
1/4: 133 lbs
1/7: 132.6
1/12: 133.2 oops- I've been keeping up with the daily workouts, but not the other stuff since it's been cold outside lately. (That's the excuse I'm using right now, ha!)
1/20: 132.8 - still doing the bodyweight exercises daily and adding dumbbells to the routine 1-2 days a week. I'm also taking a walk with my 12yo daughter after school a couple days a week.
1/29: 132.0 - workouts/walking still going good. After 4 weeks, I'm beginning to see small improvements in my arms and booty!

Hi, I'm recently returned to MFP
5' 7.5''
SW: 159 (28th December 2020)
GW: 123
CW: 149 (30th Jan 2021)
So, January has gone fairly well, I've lost 10lbs, 26lbs left to go. I really would like to lose them by June which gives me 4 months, so around 6lbs a month which seems achievable. My feeling is that I'll continue to drop at a reasonable rate until I hit around 136lbs, then I think its going to get tough. Lets see....4 -
ME:
31y * 5'9" * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)
Even though I am 5kg fatter than I was last January, I hope I lose them faster this time around. I especially hope to see a difference in my waist again. Was so happy when it was 75cm, and now it's back to 79. Gross.
End of the Month Status Report: Got all of my goals and reasonably happy with the results. Measurements are good:
- waist -3cm (back to 76cm)
- stomach -3cm
- belly -3cm
- thighs -1cm
- and of course chest too, unavoidable -2,5cm
Total weight loss: 2.8kg (6,17lbs)
GOALS- Minimal intake of sugar (<30grams/day)
Did really great at this, only a few days more than 30 grams, and zero days more than 50. Really proud and it wasn't that difficult. - Get back into the fasting routine
Also went very well: 16h ever day again, and a couple longer ones of which one 40h even. - Have 2-3 adjacent keto days every week
Ate lowcarb most days, full keto (<30carbs/d) didn't always work. - Alcohol only in the weekends
As good as! Only had alcohol 8 times this month, and most on the weekends. - Reach 70.x kg by month's end
Even got below 70 it seems
WEIGHT
2 Jan: 72.3kg
8 Jan: 71.2kg
10 Jan: 70.3kg
13 Jan: 70.5kg
20 Jan: 70.0kg //Despite it hovering for a bit, I'm expecting the "woosh" any day now.
26 Jan: 70.6kg.... The woosh isn't happening.
30 Jan: 69.5kg Probably the last check-in of the month. The woosh happened but I have a whole dinner for tonight, so will probably be ruined by Monday

1.23.21: 135.5 I broke the scale this morning, lol officially, well, I think it ran out of battery but whatever lol I think it’s lying because I’ve been eating at a good deficit daily and working out daily. Also yesterday it was less than the 16th....? Gonna keep swimming...

I've been intentionally going slowly with my weight loss (.5 lbs per week) as i'm also very much building muscle as I go. I'm so strong! In any event, this last check is a pleasant surprise. Will weighing again tomorrow (ie the true end of January) just to be sure the scale isn't lying!4 -
@SarahsHustle I'm so impressed with your January loss and back to pre-baby weight after 3 kids and only 8mos! Im still not back to my pre-baby weight after 3 kids and its been 9 yrs!! LOL. Maybe someday I'll get back there (125 lbs of muscle).3

@weatherking2019 - wow! I’m so impressed. Do you think the loss from 118 is due to keto?1

@weatherking2019 , @tracimckinney, @Antiopelle, and everyone, I'm finding this group so inspiring! Bravo for sticking to goals through tough times (injuries, health complications, kids, lockdowns etc). Losing weight and staying fit is hard, even in the best of times...

Hello, All. I started and am ending at exactly at the same weight - 119.2. Arrgh!
My goal was 117 which I reached in October, then reached 114 (after days of not eating due to stress, so I know that was not sustainable). Since November I haven’t got my head in the game. I’m going to aim for 113 knowing that’s overshooting- but I find for myself if I don’t have a lofty goal I can get demotivated.
Since my original goal was 135 I’m feeling a bit overconfident too.
Onward!6 -
Thank you @SarahsHustle & @k8richer for the encouragement!

A little bit above my goal weight, but the overall trend is downwards. Considering the circumstances, I'm pretty happy with it !
It helps that hubbie is in a very good place at the moment: he has run a half marathon last week and a 10 miles yesterday (alone of course - no events here). The weight is melting off him, and he looks and feels happier. I'm so proud of him as he took the Covid cards dealt to us and managed to turned them to a positive for himself.4 -
Everyone did so well!
I don’t have a final weight for the month because we took the kids on a little trip and there are no scales in the hotel. But I’ve been on track with diet and exercise (typing this while on the treadmill at the hotel gym). My clothes have been fitting well and my husband commented that he noticed I’m getting some definition in my arms from weights. Yay!
Good luck in February everyone!3
